Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere.

I have about 5 Chase cards. Suddenly in the last couple of months I've been getting photocopies of statements in the MAIL that say "our emails to you come back undeliverable" or something along those lines. (Paperless billing has been set up on all of them). So just now I logged into my Chase accounts and am trying to, once again, check the boxes for every single card and confirm my email address..x. which is already correct. It even says "this is your primary email address" (in fact it's my only email address I have on file with them).

Is this just Chase being weird or is there something else I should know? I feel like my resident experts can reassure me.

Thank you.
As you can see from the comments the Chase mailed Chase Biz statements are a conundrum! It is so frustrating, and I've never seen anybody come up with a fix.

Yes, it was definitely a blow out kinda trip! We also flew 1st class (that was on points - my insistence), had a short layover in South Africa at an amazing hotel (wish I could remember the name) and an extra few days in Zanzibar (my husband got terribly sick - not so rosy memories of Zanzibar). My husband planned it all with Amex Centurion Card concierge... it was his FIRST trip outside the US and he had certain... expectations. I, on the other hand, had lived cheap in several countries and backpacked around the Middle East and Europe. Our styles are more aligned now, and far lower budget. I don't think I'll ever sleep on a filthy mattress on the roof of a hostel for $3 again, and he doesn't spend $$$ on crazy expensive hotels, LOL!
I have traveled to Africa twice; the first time was with Singita (staying at their lodges with a 5 night stay in Cape Town and 3 nights in Zambia) and the second was with &Beyond (staying in their lodges + a 5 night stay at Londolozi in Sabi Sands, which I highly, highly recommend). Singita was at the top end of the budget and &Beyond was in the mid-top range (I paid for a private guide and driver as I didn't want to share a safari vehicle). When I go back (eyeing Rwanda and Tanzania with a 1 night stop at Giraffe Manor) I will most likely use Singita as I feel that it is worth the premium, however I have have some issues with Singita as a company and will definitely be looking at One&Only in Rwanda for gorilla trekking.

I need to do some research and see what DS really wants to do for his celebration. I'm not sure what various special experiences like Giraffe Manor are... Open to suggestions/recommendations!

DD's bat mitzvah is first and she's still undecided whether she wants a trip or a big party (both would have a ceremony and afternoon luncheon regardless).

I am trying to get organized for the new year. We have separate logins for Chase personal and biz cards. I use the mobile app a lot for the personal but, as far as I know, there is no app for biz cards. Is that correct? If you get Chase to combine all cards under one login, can you see all of your cards on the app? What is the best practice for handling this?

I’m able to see both my personal and Biz cards on the same Chase app - I just have to use my two different logins.

Well, I went into my online account and discovered I had them set to send me paper. I changed it to paperless.

On answering this question what startled me was when @ten6mom said 'photo copy of Chase statements'. I'm guessing now that @ten6mom just meant regular old statements.

it didnt matter for my friends who cancelled. i saw it both ways but majority was friend canceled the flight. Portal CSR usually try to tell u to get airline to cancel but after many insistence and declines, UR was returned. annoying but it works.
I cancelled my AA flight to Hawaii, booked with UR's because even though Hawaii was basically closed, AA would not cancel the flights. They would not give UR's back, now I have a large credit with AA that I will never use.

I know, I sure hope it’s faster. Let me know when you see your post, I’ll keep an eye out on my too once I hit the 60 days.

Ha, I hope it's faster too, I am barely 30 days in on mine. But from all I have read on DOC, it won't be.

OK - I finally read the Marriott email and understand this ridiculous marketing pitch...
One more exciting benefit: Save up to 40% on standard redemption pricing by booking Off-Peak rates by February 21, 2021.

So it's up to 40% off of the "Standard" points required. I should've figured this out earlier... So this is truly just a 10% off of off-peak promotion... but MAYBE every night is now considered off peak??

Somebody REALLY took liberties with the marketing speak there to make this sound amazing. I mean, I did save the equivalent of $80-$100 in Marriott points by rebooking my Swan stay though so I can't complain 😂😂

Oh and by the way, it seems like this might be active now AND it's really easy to rebook your Marriott reservation and the points get credited back instantly. I'm not sure if you can book these for future stays, and if so, how far out... but it might be worth locking in some potential future trips if that's of interest to you (if it works that way).
how do you see find an offpeak rate? the one I'm looking at is the basic points per night,is it by date?

IF your pacing has been good recently it is a very small risk to do it. I’d probably go for it IF that’s the case.
Depends on the definition of "good pacing." How's this?

The ones they send me totally look like a photocopy. It's a terrible quality computer printout of my statement, LOL!

Similar experience. My whole family was going to go to Scotland to take DD back to university, but we ended up pushing out our dates given everything going on in the U.K. right now and guidance from the university. In this case, my DD had already used half of her ticket booked through the Chase portal. We were able to get travel credit with Virgin Atlantic for that one. I was fine with that since her ticket had been partially used. For my husband, DS and me, we had received notification from Delta that KLM had changed our departure time from EDI to AMS by more than 5 hours, which would cause us to miss our connection from AMS to SEA. I thought it would be no problem to get the tickets cancelled and my URs returned, but it took two attempts with CS on the phone, emails and multiple hours on hold before I finally persevered. They were pushing the travel credit hard, but there was no way I was going to accept that. When they finally called Delta with me on hold, Delta cleared the refund no problem. To prove the point about the benefit of getting the URs back versus settling for a flight credit, I have now rebooked just my DD and me for later dates. I found a great Biz Saver route on United, so ended up using my returned URs to transfer to United and book there. I can see Chase playing total hardball on forcing the travel credit where there have been no schedule changes, the airline hasn't cancelled, etc.

I've used both the Best Buy and PayPal offers on DH's Schwab Plat a few days ago, and so far haven't received an email or credit on either :( Ugh. I hate having to follow up on stuff like this.

I've been getting the PayPal credits on my Plat about 4 days after the charge posts. I've had three small charges for eBay shipping that have all come through.

I canceled the flight. I didn't even try to go through Chase to cancel it, to be honest. Just didn't want the headache and I'll get the certs used before the two years is up.

I think the difference for you versus the original question asked is that you didn't transfer Chase URs to United to book via United using miles. In that case, United will return the miles to your account even if you cancel. If there is no change waiver in effect, United might charge a re-deposit fee. Since you used URs to book directly through the Chase portal, your options are a return of URs or a travel credit. But see above for how hard Chase makes it to get URs back. I will definitely think twice going forward about booking through the Chase portal via URs versus finding some way to transfer to a travel partner.

So recently you've been moving through cards a little quicker with cards in Sept/Nov/Jan. I haven't heard of any shutdown DPs recently so I'm not sure that's a huge concern. You don't want to go and grab 4 cards in the next 2 months of course, that could be asking for trouble, lol. That said, as long as you're ok with the possibility of a denial, I think that's your "worst that can happen". Why not go for it! Then just make sure to cool it for a couple of months again.

Has anyone used the Chase Starbucks offers to buy an e-gift card online? Need a gift for dd for her b-day tomorrow, and just remembered I have that offer. I don't have the Starbucks app because I don't drink coffee LOL.
I did just download the app, if you think that's safer?

I’ve had this on my Biz cards. I just ignore. My email is correct (get other emails from them). Some type of Chase IT glitch.

The same thing happened to me several months ago, but with two of my biz accounts. It makes no sense since all of my other cards' statements are delivered electronically with no issues. I verified my info several times and the same things kept happening. I was frustrated so I ended up turning off electronic statements for the accounts having issues. Now I'm getting paper statements for those two. If you figure out a solution, please let me know.
I get paper statements for my biz cards also. I just ignore and shred since my settings are all correct.

Add me to the getting paper statements for one Chase card group. For me, it's my BA Chase card. I have 5 or 6 Chase cards (personal and business) and this is the only one that is an issue. I've checked my settings and it's set for paperless so definitely a weird glitch. I gave up and just shred them when they arrive.

Good to know. Hopefully they come through in the next day or two.

Anyone done a furniture warranty claim w/ a credit card?

A part of my sectional sofa has been busted for well over a year. The furniture store I bought it from went out of business. The actual couch company told me I needed to find another store to try and make the warranty claim. It was the frame that broke, which has a 5 year warranty. I don't have the actual receipt, and obv w/ the furniture store out of business I can't get it. I have the statement showing the purchase though.

I'm going to try the couch company again, and then I guess the local furniture stores that carry that line. But I'm wondering if I can file through Chase? I bought the couch 8/19. It broke 2/20. I bought it with my CSR

Am I the only one that read the Barclay new lower redemption as you can now redeem for $50 charges instead of $100?

Now through 1/31/2021, qualifying gas, grocery store and restaurant purchases made within the last 120 days can be redeemed for travel statement credits. Plus, during this timeframe only, we've lowered travel statement credit redemptions to start at 5,000 miles for $50.

Apparently you still must have a $100 charge, but can redeem just half. Not helpful. Grrrrrr

Use your miles to redeem for a travel statement credit starting at 5,000 miles for $50 toward all or a portion of your qualifying travel purchase of $100 or more made within the last 120 days.
I was just thinking about redeeming my A+ miles for a restaurant charge. I’d have to have a $100 bill to be able to do this? That doesn’t make sense, especially considering you can redeem miles for gas. Don’t think I’ve ever paid $100 to fill any gas tank, even when gas was $4/gallon.

I'm considering cancelling my A+. I’ve had it since April 2019 so in a couple months I’ll hit the annual fee again, and this card (I thought I’d use it a lot!) just isn’t pulling its weight in my wallet. So I want to cash out my miles for the best deal I can get. I have around 6,700 miles on there I believe. Question is, will I regret not having this card? Is the whole chip and pin thing for Europe not such a big deal anymore? Don’t know when we’ll finally make it over there, but I bet we will eventually.
