Do you guys like these resorts with kids, or better for just adults? We’ve never done an all inclusive, but you’ve definitely got my attention. Would you recommend any of these resorts with teens?
One time I flew following a head cold. One ear was plugged for over a day ... other ear for over 3 days.We have a pool and my ears are awful in the pool too. I can barely swim down 3 feet without the pressure being too much. Sometimes I pop my ears to swim down further but then they don’t pop back and I get that cloudy sound you’re talking about. One time I had that for hours after swimming. I had a hollow sound in my head if I tapped it
I think it was on the older Platinum cards ( prior to 11/20)The offer was only on my husband's personal platinum, not on mine. Weird. But that sounds good!
thanks! If P2 is the one applying for the cards then you just need to lower P2’s credit limits. Next Monday should be fine to apply. Apply for the card you want most on day 1. If you’re instantly approved check the credit limit. I immediately sent a SM to lower the limit on that card in order to have a better chance of instant approval for the 2nd card. If the 2nd card goes pending, and P2 won’t call, then yes, just wait it out. Worst case it’s denied and you move on.
I know people often reduce their credit limits around here, but I might need to increase mine on one card. Since DH messed up his application for a Capital One Venture. I might put our big spend on my Amex Hilton biz (if the Cap One doesn't come through). My credit limit is currently $8,400. I need it to be at least $19,500. Any dps on Amex increasing a CL?

Thanks for your feedback. My gut tells me that this kind of trip would be better for just me and DH.Since my kids have been a little ungrateful lately, I'd definitely say just adults ..lol. But seriously, I think it depends what your kids enjoy. Our kids did not do the kids club, so I can't comment on that. Cap Cana has a small waterpark so between that, the pool, and the ocean we had enough to keep us busy. We didn't do any off site excursions, but if we went again we probably would do one just for a little more excitement. I did see some groups of teens and they seemed to be enjoying themselves, but it's not an action packed kind of trip. My kids definitely enjoyed the all inclusive aspect. My daughter likes to try new foods, so just getting to go to a different restaurant each night was a big treat. Not to mention how many virgin pina colodas and Shirley Temples they drank.
If you don't have anything you can move to it I'd call and explain it and see if they'll let you do the one charge.
Thanks! I have a Marriott Biz as well, but that only has $10,000 for a CL. How much should I leave on it? I’m thinking now I’ll move as much as I can, then call to see if they’ll increase to what I need. It won’t be as big of a jump if I’m able to move some from the Bonvoy. You can request an increase or transfer from another card online. I've done the transfer. If you have CL you don't need on another card, I think that might be the easier choice.

They do fall out fairly easily even on 12 yo DS so you'd have to watch him closely. What helped DS most at that age was a bottle (or pacifier but he didn't use one.)I looked at the earplanes but a lot of reviews for this age said they just fell out or they took them out. I could see him hating them being in his ears. He won’t even wear a hat. It might be worth a try though. Do they muffle sounds at all?
The tape is a good idea! He would like that
DS uses EarPlanes and headphones too. He hates the noise as well as the pain, and he doesn't take pain well. We get off the plane with an angry kid.Yes, it knocks down the sound of the plane tremendously! I wonder if you could do them, and then put some "headphones" over them. Like I wear them and then put my big headphones over if I want to watch a movie. Then he can't pull them out.
If it's ok with his doctor it's not necessarily bad, and you need the correct dose. It does need to be tested first, like you mentioned. It never helped DS but he's actually worse now, at 12, than as a baby. At 13 months, he slept through 2/3 of a 12 hour flight. Now he complains through an entire 4 hour flight.I know this might not be a popular opinion. DS flew first at 11 months (21 years ago). Doctor recommended Benadryl about an hour before take off. He slept through the entire flight. Check with your Doctor (not sure what all the new rules are) and if you do decide to do this - he recommended trying it at home first as with some kids it has the opposite affect and makes they more hyper. It made for a less stressful flight and DS was just fine.
It was the strangest thing. I could tap on my head and it was like I could hear all of the empty space in my head. I feel like that isn’t normal lol. It’s happened twice recently. I probably should stop popping my ears under waterOne time I flew following a head cold. One ear was plugged for over a day ... other ear for over 3 days.
My wife says my head is hollow, too
He doesn’t take a bottle but he does love his pacifier. We only try using it for sleep but a plane would be a special circumstance. It might be easier to just give him the pacifier instead of a sippy because he might not want to drink at that timeThey do fall out fairly easily even on 12 yo DS so you'd have to watch him closely. I've been thinking about it also, mostly because I have come to hate Citi due to issues with other cards and accounts. I have another card that gets 4% on gas now, and I usually load up on Costco gift cards when the Freedom offers 5% at warehouse clubs so the 2% at Costco is less valuable. But since it has no AF I have still kept it.I'm thinking of canceling my Citi Costco Visa. The only reason I've kept it is for the 4% on gas, but I haven't used it for gas in more than a year, thanks to 5% promotions on various other cards. I know one perk is that the Costco membership renews automatically, but I'm not sure I really need an interrupted Costco membership now that we are empty nesters. Although there is no AF, it is another card to keep up with.
Thoughts? Will I regret canceling?
I booked one first week of August and changed to Labor Day weekend. Don’t forget it can be within plus or minus 30 days.I just got an email for flight changes for 8/14 from Milwaukee to California. Free change banner comes up for that flight, but not 8/15, 8/21, or 8/22. Anyone have dates they can check for a time frame? I'm surprised they are already to August, when it was only until 7/9 last week.
Thanks, I've been playing around with it. 6/22, 6/30, and 7/4 did not work, but 7/13 and 7/15 did.I booked one first week of August and changed to Labor Day weekend. Don’t forget it can be within plus or minus 30 days.
