That's what we thought. Per our agent, don't bother. It's such a sellers market, just declutter and list it. He said buyers are willing to do painting and small repairs themselves. Any big repairs can be a credit to buyer if it comes up.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. We've been in this house for 26 years. We started painting the basement a few months ago...so we do need to finish that. Otherwise, it's cleaning/decluttering. I've been in FL most of the winter and my husband sprung this on me last week. I agree that it's the best time but getting there will not be easy!

Can someone remind me how to make the best use of Chase URs to book on American?

I think last summer or fall someone helped me out by telling me to transfer the URs to.... something else and then using those miles to book on American, but for the life of me I cannot remember the process. I do remember it was far fewer URs than booking through Chase Travel.

I am exploring the possibility of a WDW visit at the end of the year, because I feel by then more experiences will be available, unlike at DL where right now we can't even get in (since we are out of state). I feel like even when out of state folks can visit DL again, the offerings will be limited for a long time.

I definitely want to take my younger son, but if my older one and my stepson and my husband all want to go too, that's a lot of plane tickets!

American seems to have the only nonstop flights between PHX and MCO (unless I missed one).

Amex has me in popup hell. I got an upgrade offer on my Delta Gold Biz. It's only 50k miles and a $200 credit. I wanted to do the 90k offer that's out there but I got the damn pop-ups. So do I take the upgrade offer and lose out on the 40k miles. Or do I wait and hope down the road Amex has this elevated sign up again?

This is the longest I've been in the popup hell. I'm not sure how long this lasts. GRRRRR!

If it is a short haul domestic flight then BA is what you want. However, you need to make sure that AA has saver awards available for the flight you want or BA cannot book you. In any case always compare because sometimes there are saver and web saver awards that come out way better than even the miles base BA offers. Of course, also compare with the UR portal as award flights do not earn butt in seat miles.

Has anyone used a VCG to pay their car? I'm setting up the payments on my DD's new car. It's through GM financial and there is an option to use a "debit card". I'm wondering if a VGC would work? Also it says there MIGHT be a fee. Anyone know if there is? I could be down for MSing her car payment every month, LOL. There is an option to pay by credit card, but it's a $17 fee. Ummm, yeah no!

DH's Brilliant AF posted yesterday. Going to wait until 5/13 to downgrade to be able to use the $20 restaurant credit next month. Already used the $300 Marriott Credit. Anything I should be concerned before downgrading?

Do you want the 50k FNC? You could wait for that to post before downgrading if the prorated AF for FNC is worth it to you. It should post in 3-4 months, so figure ~$150 in prorated AF.

I ended up paying this month via my checking account (as it's due today and I don't wanna get hit with late fees). But I thinking maybe next month if I have a VCG lying around I might try.

I also need to try using it on my gambling sites, LOL. See if I can deposit from the VCG and transfer to my bank account. I'm gonna only try $1 to start, LOL

Honestly no, I still have a 50K FNC- I feel guilty using on anything less than a 45K night so I haven't. I'm happy with the 35K certificate. I will miss the $20 restaurant credit.

I contacted them on twitter and they asked if I could show any "proof". All I have is charges on my credit card for a gas station the same day I returned it. I returned it at like 10am. They said they would review it. It's now been 4 days with no response. I'm on hold with them now to try and get a person.

Now I just was checking my Hilton Honors account to see if I got all the points from spring break, only to find out that when I stay at the Hilton on Marco Island, they charged me 60k points vs using the free night certificate. I called them to book w/ the free night and everything. Hilton is claiming I made a points redemption. No, I called!

*** is going on? This is from the same trip I did to FL w/ the rental issue. I guess I need to be more on top of checking my balances often.

I booked return tickets for ds and my trip to New Zealand and Australia next April. Since I have to use dh's Aeroplan points (I have my AA and BA points used up), I booked biz class seats (best that AC has in their fleet), but hopefully I can grab Etihad first class seats when they open up in a few weeks. I was able to use 2 of dh's "priority rewards", which automatically deduct 50% of the miles used and since AC went to dynamic pricing, it saved me (well, him) 200,000 points. He only gets 4 "priority rewards" per year, so have to make the most of them.

I just pulled up my confirmation from my Hilton FNC reservation, and the one I did back in 2019 at the Waldorf using the FNC. They list the points on the email, but obv I never get charged them. So I'm now arguing w/ the diamond desk how was I supposed to know they were taking the points vs using the FNC that I called to us. They are saying they can't change the redemption after the fact and I needed to catch it before I checked in. But again, I'm arguing how was I supposed to know they were using points? When I checked in they even said there were no resort charges since it was a reward redemption to which I would assume is the FREE night. Because anytime I've used POINTS they say, "oh this is a POINTS redemption".

I did get through to Thrifty on the phone after 30 min. They asked me to email the phone I sent on twitter and claim they will credit me. I guess now I wait and see.

My best friend works at Hilton (and actually added me to her family account, so I get super discounts now). She's like call the diamond desk, they messed up, they should just credit you the 60k AND let you keep the FNC at this point because it wasn't your mistake.

Gosh, this thread moves fast! Currently my husband and I mostly resell Goodwill/Facebook marketplace finds and sports cards on Ebay. We usually make around $4,000 - $5,000 in sales (not profit) monthly on Ebay. I recently purchased some Lego sets on sale to list on Ebay and see how that works out since Goodwill purchases don't cost a lot. I just received my business license and am in the process of finding a supplier for some specific toys to get unblocked on Amazon but Amazon is looking a lot more complicated than Ebay. Good luck!
