Can anyone comment on how Chase feels about gift card purchases to meet MSR on CIP? Thinking of going for a CIP for DH and expecting to be ok meeting the $15,000 MSR, especially with Christmas, but just want to have a game plan in case we're a little short. I have my own $3000 MSR on a card that I just got over the weekend.

Chase does not seem to care at all. Gift cards are good to go!

Chase doesn’t care

This made me check my Chase Freedom and activate it for Oct to Dec. Walmart and Paypal.........I never use Paypal and shopping at Walmart is rare. I'm very close to a Walmart but just don't like the store.
Set up PayPal to use your CF as the default. Many websites allow PayPal as a choice. For example, I used it this quarter Wayfair, Dick's Sporting goods, Office Depot, and for Peacock Premium tv.

I'm over having "class" to be the only one with the camera on and no one talking. No really, I LOVE talking to myself all day. The best is when class is over but I still have students in class. I'm not dumb! I know you totally have logged into class and set your phone/computer down and went back to bed, left, etc.

We were just told we'll likely be remote til second semester in FEB! So while that part is kinda nice, I'm over just talking to myself and not seeing my students. We can't force them to put cameras on, and they know it, so none of them do.
Interesting because our district does require cameras on. If not, students are marked absent.

Same here - although you can have the camera pointed at your elbow if you want - they just need to be able to see a real person that moves occasionally. Open to abuse, I guess, but what isn't.

Just an FYI for anyone interested. I asked on the board awhile back if I could use two free night certificates for the same night ( other room is for family....daughter is getting married this weekend.) the answer is yes. I even asked the rep if he was sure they wouldn’t cancel one on me thinking I had made an error, and he said they would not.

I also asked if he had any knowledge of free night certificates being extended, and he said no, as they had already been extended. Blah. I hated to use my free nights as the hotel was very cheap pointwise, but I just dont see me using them anywhere else before they expire. Here in CT , we are supposed to self quarantine for 14 days if we travel to a long list of states.

Two other frustrating things. The Marriott website was extremely wonky tonight. Kept erroring out on me. The other was that I agreed to take a survey about my call to customer service. The rep seemed rather disinterested in helping me; although he did answer my questions, he sounded as if I was intruding on his time. Anyhow, once I agreed to the survey before the call! I was supposed to stay on the line for the survey. I did, and.....crickets. Bonvoyed.

I can't remember, for your first Amex card, if it's a co-brand (Hilton), do you get the points right after meeting MSR, after statement close, or 2 months after stmt closing? I think the 2 month delay is MR cards maybe? TIA!

In my experience, the points have usually posted within a few days of Amex MSR being met - independent of statement close.

We're not allowed to force it as it could be embarrassing for students based on home situations. As well as personal privacy issues apparently. I teach in a suburb of Detroit, and I do feel most of our students have "good" home lives, but I guess I could be clueless. My own kids are 50/50. I think they have them on when the teachers are "teaching" but turn them off when they work or are done.

I've been waiting to get notification of my mortgage being sold. Logged into chase today and I see my mortgage. The nice thing is we just got a chase bank so I can pay it with money orders (if we could get another fee free visa deal).

For those pre-ordering an Xbox (like me!) this morning, Best Buy's deal of the day is 10% off Xbox gift cards. Hard to beat that discount on a brand new console. I topped off my balance of Dell credits and I'm all set.
So you're loading gift cards to your xbox account and pre-ordering through the Microsoft store?

Good luck everyone on ordering!

@havaneselover I have never used RMN so not sure about that. Since I will be using store credit completely I assume it would not even credit. Honestly after the PS5 debacle (trying to login through Swagbucks) I am not even going to try going through a shopping portal.
