I have the $50 off $200 on both my and AU's Bonvoy. His gc purchase on 9/7 already got the $50 credit, and I got the email that I used my Amex offer when I bought a gc on 9/9. The $100 savings there covers the AF for me so I'll keep it and hope for another upgrade offer.

Also add your cc to your Eat Around Town wallet (Marriott's dining program, earn 6x at participating restaurants, 1000 bonus points on your first meal). I got take out yesterday and should be getting 16x by stacking the 10x restaurants + 6x dining program.

Thanks for reminding me to look at daughter's AU card. It was also on there, so now we will try to do both offers also.

Well thank you. I used to sew a lot of costumes back then. Made Pocahontas, Esmeralda, cat, dinosaur, Star Wars when Episode 1 came out, Martha Washington dress for 5th grade colonial days. I've gotten lazy in my older years. Perhaps when grandchildren arrive I will be inspired?

Grandchildren have inspired me to do a lot of things but my sewing days are over for the most part due to eyesight. Since I had cataract surgery, 'fine' work such as sewing is very difficult, so I just swipe, tap or insert to get what I want to give them. I would actually love to sew them some things.

Would you mind sharing the property name that they found? One of DH's co-workers is looking for an apartment to rent in the greater Bethesda area. He is currently renting an apartment in the Capitol area and wants to get out by November.

It's a townhouse so an individual owner. Son's old apartment was on Pooks Hill Rd just inside the Beltway off 355/Wisconsin Ave. There are quite a few buildings in that area with smaller (my opinion) 1 bedrooms running/starting around $1600. I don't know the names of either of these. Fiance is about a mile away outside the Beltway off Rockville Pike (355), near White Flint, again 1 bedroom apartments in that area are starting over $1600 plus.

They've both found this area to be convenient as neither travels Downtown for work. He was able to walk if he wanted and she isn't too far either. But both are predominantly working from home at the moment. He does have to go to the hospital once or twice a week.

I contacted Disney again about the refund on our APs and they said sorry for the delay and that they're dealing with high volume. I first contacted them on July 1 and Dh before that. I feel like it shouldn't be taking this long.
We haven’t received ours either on 5 APs ...3 different households....but the APs did disappear from MDE this past week so hopefully the refunds will be coming soon

300 Seabay Lane in Ocean City.

It's the one right by Route 90 if you are coming in to OC on that bridge. The whole side of the hotel facing that highway is corridor and all the rooms face south, so no one looks at the road. You turn right onto Coastal Highway and next right (on 61st) takes you back to the hotel. It's actually quite nice, has a firepit back of the pool and barbecues for use. Rooms have balconies. 1st floor is not rooms as usual in OC. 3rd floor and up have decent views - desk, bar and breakfast lounge area are all 2nd floor. Indoor pool and exercise stuff is 7th floor..

I just looked at this hotel on GoogleMaps street view and I can tell you the picture is several years outdated as it's showing a construction mess. It's all finished - not under construction as google would lead you to believe. It also has canoes or maybe it was kayaks? and may have some bikes available as well and a pier to the Bay.
Nice. We didn’t make it to OC at all this summer.

Ah the AP refund! Have you been following the threads on the other forums? A lot of people are anxious to get that money. I already got my partial refund, but I put in for that in May when Disney first posted the number to call on their website. I called right away, and was told it would be after they reopened, etc. The check arrived a couple of weeks later. Fortunately I did NOT have to sit on the phone for hours.

I then responded to the email to cancel the rest of the pass when they sent that in July. I had decided not to travel in November and don't need an AP if I go in January and or February. That refund is slated to arrive mid September into October, so it should be coming soon. I have tickets if I change my mind and want to enter a park.

My AP finally disappeared from MDE this past week, so that's some kind of progress.

I figure it's summer until October hits so I'm aiming for the last week of September. October can be beautiful as you know but the outside pool might get a little cooler for the grands.

A few weeks back I asked some questions about going for a SW companion pass using the 65,000 sign up bonus. Someone thankfully pointed out that I could only hold 1 SW card at a time, so I closed my existing one. I waited 8 days and then applied today for the higher level SW card using my BIL's referral. It didn't give me an instant answer, but said they needed more time to consider my application. I have great credit, no new cards since 2017, and a significant increase in income since I applied for my original SW card back in 2013(?). Should I be worried that they are going to deny me? Any idea how long it will take for a decision?

Your first indication would come from calling the automated status line.

Call 1-800-432-3117 and once you get thru the initial messages hit #, 3, 1 I believe and you’ll be able to check the status of your application. If it says 7-10 days, that might be a bad sign. Otherwise you’re probably in good shape and just keep waiting it out.

Our passes expired in June and we contacted before that about the partial refund. They no longer show on our mde. I’m not sure when to expect the refund. I haven’t been following on the other boards. I don’t really have a lot of time

I got the "we will send you a written decision within 7-10 day" message. If they deny me, I guess it would be because I so recently closed out my other SW card. Because I haven't violated any of the other rules and there should be no problems with my credit.

7-10 days could also mean they want to verify your ID, you could call Chase to see.

So I tried to buy a Marriott gift card this morning and was told they didn't have any at all. They said you can only buy them online. I didn't argue. I might go to another Marriott and see if I can pick one up.

Looking for some pointers in prep for my MDD in December. My CIP is renewing this month -- I convert it so a CF (or CFU?), then transfer the URs to that account.

When the CSR renews in October cancel it.

On December 15th proceed with the MDD (URs from the CSR SUB were deposited to my account on December 14th).

How long do the cards take to arrive? Dd's tuition is due on January 10th. I have to use Plastiq since her university doesn't take cc payments, so payment will have to be made by January 3rd. Is this too ambitious?

I haven't had any new cards (in the US) since February and my limits on all cards are fairly low, so I should be in a decent position. I really want to make this work so any input would be appreciated. Tagging @SouthFayetteFan @Lain @platamama for some help!

You can’t PC a CIP to a personal card. Your options are to cancel or PC to a CIC or CIU - and this will have no bearing on your MDD.

I assume you plan to quickly use your $300 TC before you cancel or PC your CSR. You can PC it to a CFF or CFU. If you cancel it, make sure you have your URs safely housed on a separate card.

A CSP will arrive in approx 7-10 days. A CSR will automatically be expedited and arrive In 2-3 days.

Looked online and my new CFU comes with a $21,000 CL! I had lowered some of the other limits I have a while ago, I want to PC one of my CF's to a CFF, wonder if the $3000 limit I have on that will be an issue (too low to PC like the business cards?)

Had that problem the first time I tried a few years ago. The only place around me that has them is a Marriott about 25 minutes away. Tried a Residence Inn, Courtyard, nope. It can be hit or miss if the person on the desk knows how to do them correctly also, but I have been successful at this one place.

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. I've been MIA for a while in this upside down world.

I am finally ready to transfer points into my Delta mileage account and wouldn't you know I am getting this message when I go to transfer them:

We are unable to transfer points to travel partners at this time.

Does anyone know what this could mean? Is it a temporary glitch or has something changed with transferring UR points?

TIA!

I applied for the CSP around 11am on 8/17 and it was in my mailbox on 8/24.
I applied for the CSR around noon on 8/18 and it was at my doorstep on 8/20.
Just in case it makes a difference, it looks like they are sent from Ohio and I live in TN.
