I recently pc'd my CSP to CS. I had the card for three years, barely used it and didn't want to pay the AF. Anyway, I am now thinking I would like to start a UR collection. Since the biz cards are off the table is it ok to apply for a new CSP? Or should I try something else?

If you've only had the cap for 3 years you can't get the bonus again. Chase allows thr bonus on either sapphire card every 48 months.

Cf or cfu will have a smaller sign up bonus but if you pick the one that matches with your spending best it would help build urs until your 48 mos have passed.

From Chase on the CSP

60,000 bonus points

after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.* Same page link to Offer Details That's $750 toward travel when redeemed through Chase Ultimate Rewards®.

This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months.

I will be doing the same this weekend. Not sure if I want to PC to a CIC or CIU. P2 will have to do this also in the next few months.

With all the no fee/discounted deals on VGCs that run frequently at Office Max/Depot and Staples that earn 5x UR on the CIC, which you can turn around and spend on things that would otherwise earn only 1x on most cards or 1.5x UR on the CIU, the CIC could potentially earn you more points on the “same” spend.

Just decide if more points on the CIC is worth the hassle of going to an office supply store during these sales before the racks get cleared, then spending down (or otherwise liquidating) the VGCs $200 at a time.

PC #1 complete and the call took almost no time to go through! (I did listen to the automated menu drone on and on for much longer than I needed to before I started hitting "0").

Thanks all for your help. I did CIP > CIC.

Has it been a year?

If I PC to either CIC or CIU(I have never had either card), would I miss out on a SUB if/when Chase loosens the Sol Prop app restrictions on the biz cards?

When did you last receive a signup bonus on the CSP? Have you ever received a signup bonus on the CSR? You cannot receive another signup bonus on the CSP or CSR for 48 months after you last received a signup bonus on a Sapphire card product.

When you say CSP to “CS,” do you mean the Chase Sapphire? In addition to the 48-months restriction on another signup bonus, you will not be approved for a new Sapphire card product (e.g., CSP or CSR) if you currently hold a Sapphire product (e.g., CS). You can get around this latter restriction by PCing the CS to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited.

Chase does not (currently) have a lifetime language restriction (e.g., not eligible for a signup bonus if you have or ever have had that card product) like Amex. And with Chase’s business cards, holding a card product doesn’t generally preclude you from applying for or PCing to another of the same card product. Of course, things could change.

I’d just try to make the best decision you can for your situation right now. It’s hard to read the tea leaves to say when, if ever, Chase will loosen business credit lending again.

If you are concerned Chase might implement some sort of lifetime language restriction on signup bonuses like Amex, and assuming Chase loosens up at some point, I would think saving the CIU for a new app would be a better move, since until recently the CIC and CIU could support to a CIU (but not CIC), so P2 would get the supportal bonus and you’d get the SUB (or vice versa) on a card you haven’t had yet.

But again, there’s bound to be a lot of changes to credit lending in the next few months/year, which is an eternity to plan around in churning.

Thanks for the help. Yes I meant Chase Saphire is what I PC'd it to. Obviously I made a rookie mistake by PCing to another sapphire. UGH! I received the bonus from original CSP 5/17 so I am eligible as far as timeframe goes.

So now should I call and PC again LOL! It was only about a month ago. Anyone PC'd the same card twice in 6 weeks?!

oh! And I haven't received any other bonuses from Saphire, no CSR

That's ok. If your CSP (or CSR) is >1 yr. old, you can PC to a CS (as you did), then PC again to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited. You just have to make another call.

If you got your csp bonus may of 2017 you aren't eligible for another until June of 2021, 48 months is 4 years. I said June to be sure you are past it.

It doesn't matter if the card your holding now as a csp was the one that got the bonus or not, they'll look at that 5/17 date regardless of whether you cancelled the card or still have it as some version of a ur card.

I can’t wait for him to be moving all over the place and talking.
That's what everyone says. Until they won't stop moving and talking. Lol DS didn't talk much until age 3, after a year of speech therapy. However, he literally does not shut up now. Even if he is playing a video game by himself or watching sports on tv he is talking and announcing the game. It drives DH nuts while WFH.
Nice....I have gotten $2,400 so far...today the cashier would only let me buy 1....$2k has been cashed out with serve...will try for more tomorrow
I go to FD, haven’t been to Walmart so unfortunately can’t help
So are Walmart and Family Dollar what's left for Serve?
Once I get done meeting my MSR on Wells Fargo (this month), I'll probably be mostly using my Citi DC as my main card. Where can I go to learn more about how to best way to use TY points? :)
The biggest upside for me is booking Disney. You can use TYP for Disney tickets and hotels. Here's further info

I don't relish the idea of juggling the CF to follow quarterly bonuses, so once we have accrued a stash of points, my husband and I will need to decide if earning travel points is the priority or if we want the cash back.
I'm not sure if you mean using the CF for cash or all URs but any 'cash' from CF can be transferred to a UR earning card and used as UR. Or vice versa.
I use a spreadsheet to keep track of bonus categories but for simplicity, I usually add a small label to the back of DHs cards (and sometimes mine) with the category bonus like Gas, Groc, Rest.

Its official: We have cancelled Ireland/Northern Ireland and also the Dubai/Africa trips this year. I think I'm most sad about not staying at Giraffe Manor, Ashford Castle and revisiting the Al Maha. It looks like we will be doing a lot of closer to home trips for the foreseeable future and I'll be living at WDW even more than usual.

Oh my goodness! I was thinking 2 years! :rotfl:
