Dh eats a sandwich every single day for lunch at work. He also eats toast for breakfast and I do as well. So we go through almost two loaves a week
We use to when we were younger, unfortunately his doctor wants him to avoid carbs to lose weight, which gets crazy sometimes because he’s focusing too much on them, so the fat and sugar in recipes is high...I’m trying to get him to balance everything, but :confused3

It’s really hard to find a right balance sometimes. Dh counts his calories now but doesn’t always look at the stuff in the food. He knows the turkey in his sandwiches is full of sodium but at the same time it’s a cheap lunch lol.

Your young, as long as his BP, etc is fine...my DH just turned 60 and has soo much stuff that runs in his family and he’s overweight etc..
.I remember you mentioning your DH going for a run at Disney so being healthy which is great..I don’t think my DH has ever ran

Dh and I both love running but I don’t think either of us are going to anymore. I had to stop about 3-4 years ago for knee issues. He’s been having really bad foot trouble and the podiatrist said no more running. It stinks because we actually like to do it and can’t. He’s riding his bike now instead

So, I was able to save a bunch more points on SW flights through Memorial Day. Such a weird feeling though. First, I feel a little guilty knowing the airlines etc will be suffering so badly. Then, I really wonder what the country will be like in 3 weeks. Here’s hoping social distancing works.

I was at Sprouts and even they were out of TP and there's is the expensive environmental friendly stuff that costs like 8 bucks for 4 rolls.
Yeah...lots of the expensive stuff. I got toilet paper at Costco and it looks like I'll have to drive some of it up to my DD. She has 4 rolls in the house and nothing is in the stores.

My mom was too, I think because she was a depression baby based on the stories she use to tell us....when she passed away last year there was a lot of stuff in her house, unfortunately some of it was canned stuff that had expired years ago

When my Aunt Louise passed away there were canned green beans that they canned 20 years before. Those went right in the trash!

Our district announced at 4 pm today, no school indefinitely, so I’m looking for any homeschool resources as well.
DS is also advanced in math, but dislikes Khan. He finds it boring and prefers the game-like sites. He likes Freckle and Zearn; he has accounts through school already.
It will be a trial for sure. DH can work from home but he wants the house silent, which is just impossible for DS (the kid even talks to himself). DS will be bored without sports to watch though he will watch “reruns” on YouTube. Being in healthcare, working from home will be harder for me but I have asked to do so 1-2 days per week. I can do 75-80% of my job online (charting is all electronic these days). Obviously I can’t educate a patient or do a physical exam remotely but much of my job is assessing labs and such and ordering nutrition for patients who can’t take anything by mouth.

So @wendow , @disneymagicgirl or anyone else homeschooling, any recommendations for homeschool options welcome. (I did read those who responded to @Jax1023 and have started a list)
I'm happy to make curriculum suggestions. I'm not sure if you are just looking for something in the short-term (sounds like it...?). In that case, I would not recommend investing in any bigger curricula. There are plenty of free online resources (brainpop and Discovery kids are free for a few weeks) or grade level workbooks you can order from Amazon.

Is your district not moving to online schooling?

There is no TP in our community! Target sees their shelves cleared by 7:10 everyday. We went to several different stores today and not a single one had any. My dd was on Guest Services at Target and she said that in the first two hours of work, every single phone call was people asking if they had TP. She asked me if severe diarrhea was a symptom of Coronavirus :rotfl2:

A firefighter's daughter posted on our community board that the firehouse is down to 3 rolls left and they've not been able to find any in the stores. People posted offering to take some to them but this is ridiculous. As a community, we should all be looking out for our fellow man and not hoarding like we are the only people who matter. If this is how we react in a 'crisis', God help us all.
