Holy Smokes (not the S word I just used our loud) my BWV waitlist for the last 2 nights of our trip less than 60 days from now, just came through. I didn't think there was a chance in hades, for BWV standard studio, that close in, on a night where there is a DVC Moonlight Magic Event! I am shocked! So now we have 3 days at BLT and 2 at BWV. I don't like moving, but I am soooooooooooo happy to have the last two days at home instead of OKW.

That’s great news...Enjoy your stay !!

Thanks, no current relationship, maybe I’ll see if they have any bank bonuses right now. I took a quick look to see how you get to that preferred level, but it seemed a bit confusing.
That reminds me that I opened my BoA checking with a bonus (the paltry $100 bonus) ...and used Serve to trigger it, so don't be dissuaded by a direct deposit requirement.

With the Preferred Reward levels, those are determined by how much you have combined with BoA across all accounts. When you're first starting out, it will be the average over a 3 month period. Once your 3 month average hits a qualifying tier (25% for Gold/50% for Platinum/75% for Platinum Honors) then you start earning that bonus.

Last year we transferred out our brokerage account in March, but retained the bonus earning until last month. BoA sent me plenty of warning letters that we would lose our Preferred Rewards status, and I opened up a Merrill Edge account for a new account bonus in January and we're back in their good graces, without starting over on the 3 month average (which was surprising to me). That's 10 months of bonus earning without tying up funds in BoA. While that wasn't my intention, I'm glad to know that.

Joint brokerage accounts will count toward the qualifying tier amount for BOTH account holders, which makes it a bit easier to qualify P1 and P2 for bonus earning potential on each of their individual credit cards (hint hint).

Congratulations!!!! Same thing happened for me about 2 months out also! I didn’t get a standard, I got pool view, but I was just happy to get BWV. I already had 2 nights there, so with our waitlist coming through we don’t have to move.

I think I've been bonvoyed again. Seems like the hotel I booked on points for this summer will not be a Marriott property by then. They want DH to call and discuss his alternatives. I think we still have the option of staying there but with no perks. I can just imagine getting the worst room in the place because we booked on points from a program they no longer deal with.

Gotta love UR. DH asked me if we could come in earlier for Disney so I booked a cheapy (especially at 1.5) hotel to drive half way tomorrow so we can hit the parks Sunday. That makes me feel better about possibly having a rain day in the middle of our week too. I guess I should pack now...

i fell asleep to that movie...
Wow really?! We were both entertained the entire movie. I normally struggle watching movies at home because I always want to do something on my phone or read, but this movie was so good. Dh also got Midway and I'm sure I'll be skipping out on that one.

I used to do this all the time and let a small portion auto-pay. Now any CC payment warns me that I can lose my discount.

Sad days 🥺
But have you actually done it? I get that warning but I paid with a cc one month cause I overdid it on msr and figured 5 bucks loss of discount was better than not meeting an msr.

i got charged exactly the same thing as every other month.

I was too scared to actually try it! I've been paying with VZ gift cards 🤣

I got it in April, with a lower SUB of $300 so that $500 looks darn good! I think I may try to get it for DH now. Thanks for posting!

When I got mine, I didn't have a BoA checking account yet, but I did have the BoA Premium Rewards card already. And we had a joint brokerage account with Merrill Lynch (they are the same company) that had been in place for years, so I had an existing relationship with BoA.

The BoA biz account is set up kind of strangely with a "Corporate" account and the MC as a sub account, and they have different account numbers. When I pay the BoA Biz card I reference the Corporate account number, and not the actual credit card number. And I pay it with my Bluebird account.

Thank you so much! And you're welcome, glad someone else is interested. I feel much better about it knowing that you went for it with a $300 bonus. I'm just wondering how many currencies I want to get myself into...it's getting a little out of control. Now the question is, do I wait and get a checking account first or throw caution to the wind and apply on a Friday night after I've had two drinks:rotfl2:I may be back with more questions if I do get it. I'l be bookmarking these posts, thank you so much! And thanks for the page @miztressuz
DH had the BOA travel rewards personal card. We just canceled it because I’m cutting AF cards but it works fine. Only drawback imo is that you have to get to $25 in rewards before you can use them.
ETA BOA Premium Rewards Card, not travel rewards
Thank you

Well I do have a couple hard hits and a couple rejection letters :rotfl2:
I remember how bummed I was with my first denial, now I'm kind of like, eh, whatever :rotfl:

i loved Midway! probably why i fell asleep to JojoRabbit lol

Yeah!! My SW points posted today along with my companion pass. Already went online and made DD my companion.

Might have DH go for this also. But have to wait for April for the 24 months from last bonus. All of our SW points were depleted so would be nice to ramp them up again.
