Totally against the rules! I'm never allowed to leave a hot meal outside (or the cold bagged lunch). We are in a rural-ish area and there are a lot of critters, plus temperature control is important. About half the clients take the meals at the door; for the other half I walk into their house, they are sitting in a recliner, and I put the meals on their table or kitchen counter. We did wear gloves today when passing out the meals. I made it a point to not come particularly close to anyone.

I called the man I am driving to radiation later this week for the cancer society, told him I thought he should ride in the back seat for social distancing, and he said he gets carsick. So I will be doing some wiping down of my car before that.
Our MoW is also leaving it outside and calling to tell them it's there. They had someone on the news tonight talking about it.

Our Spring Break vacation is sadly coming to an end. We are calling it a wrap. 'snip'

Back to MD and the cold we go.

I want to stay here as long as I can. It's much less stressful here. Also, social distancing is fairly easy. There's still food in the stores. But I know I have to leave Saturday - unless they close.

So far they have been able to stay open because of the small size and spread out area. There are people at the beach club, office, Mercantile, wiping everything constantly as people enter and leave the area.

I went in and out of the life saving station room at least 4 times and felt bad for the guy that he had to wipe each time a door was touched. But, kudos for this extra effort. There are Purell dispensers (automatic - you just hold your hand under and it squirts you) everywhere that I would say would be needed.

My trash was emptied this morning and I spoke to the person (part of the CP) for a few minutes. If you don't want the service they will leave you be - no need for extra contact and any possible exposure.

I would say Disney is doing an outstanding job at Hilton Head.

Had a great day! Lots of conversations with business owners. Some worried, others prepared - but it was great to bring insight and helpful guidance. We are officially 100% WFH now so that’s nice.

We've decided as a family to do a movie night every night for now. We are going through the entire Star Wars catalog first. Tonight is Episode 1! I think I could get used to social distancing 🤣 (although I might get super fat - I need to stop eating so much!)
Omg the overeating is gonna be an issue for me. I’m about to make a second dinner of pasta lol

My WDW app just notified me my room is ready (we were supposed to check in to CBR today). I cancelled through AAVacations Friday. I’ll have to look up the room number and see how close it would have been to the Skyliner station. If it’s far away then I’ll feel a little less sad about not being there.

And, I checked in Nov, Jan - twice BWV and HH, Feb twice at BWV and then here this week (HH) and have never gotten a notification of any kind. (Well, I did get an email when we were at BCV, but no text or anything on the app. We left the beach and went to check in a little after 4 and our room was ready and I got the usual, surprised and wondering why it didn't work, checked my number, etc. My phone number is the same since 1990!!

There is absolutely no traffic on the roads. I hope you'll have an easy drive.
95 northbound in FL, GA, and a good portion of SC was so busy! And I live near 95 in DE so I know all about busy lol

We stopped at several rest areas with full parking areas. I swear dh and I were the youngest there:rotfl:
Does anyone know if we can cancel a dvc reservation ONLINE that is within 30 days and not have the points go into holding or do I have to call MS for this? The email from them says they are waiving that restriction but I'm getting the notice online that the points will be placed in holding.
Our 2019 points (June UY) didn’t go into holding when I cancelled the day before our reservation. I will have to call this week to get them banked.
PA governor announced state liquor stores (the only game in town) would be closing tomorrow at 9 PM. You should have seen the line there just now! Looked to be an hour long. Dh wanted Scotch but we decided it wasn't worth the wait. I may check tomorrow morning. I can get beer and wine at the grocery store at least.
I heard this news and thought omg our loca liquor store is going to be slammed! We’re just a few miles in from the PA border lol

We still have about 3 hours to go on our drive. Dh worked from the passenger seat from 9:30 (market open) until 5:30. Much client reassuring.

I’ll go shopping tomorrow as early as I can—-grocery and booze.

In sad news, ds and his fiancée have postponed their May 2 wedding  , the bakery/cafe older dd manages is now closed, and younger dd’s university is now online for the remainder of the semester. Mind you, most of her stuff is still there.

You know what? I'm exhausted. That's it. That's the post.
Same. I think all of my clients are thinking "hmm, stuck at home, great time to make some website changes". I have one that has had to cancel spring events and where we thought we'd have a month to transition for fall, we're doing it in a week. I've been working from about 10am to midnight for the past 4 days, through the weekend, with only little breaks here and there and maybe an hour of school with my son each day. Not complaining, thankful I can work from home, self-quarantine and be paid.

My May DVC trip, I just realized my banking deadline is this month. Reservation is May 1-4. With Disney doing refunds for resort stays through June 30, I'm leaning toward canceling this and banking those points. If they decide to do the 8 weeks that is now recommended that would put them opening around mid-May. Assuming all is semi-back to normal, I have limited availability in June and a trip booked in July. Once banked, I can't use them for a booking that begins before my use year (Aug), correct? I could just use them in Sept instead of Shades of Green, or a spring trip once I determine the actual expiration of our APs.

Honestly, what would you do? I realize I have 2 weeks to decide.

I would cancel and if the need/opportunity arises (they reopen) to actually go in early May, try to rebook later with borrowed in points but only last minute when I knew I would use them.

Glad you are having a good trip. Are any of the restaurants open for delivery or takeout? The restaurants are one of my favorite parts of HHI.

I did chat over the app with B6 customer service and was able to get our May flights fully refunded, all points back to my TrueBlue account, taxes spent on the award flights I got back as a credit, and the money I spent on Even More Space seats was refunded to my JetBlue Plus card. That was a huge weight off my shoulders.

I may call up about my July flights, I booked them as separate one ways because I wanted a changeable date for the flight down to MCO since I wasn’t sure if I could get that day off. One was cash and the other was points also.

In another round of bad timing, Chase did launch the new United Club card today. 100k introductory bonus for 5k in spend, $525 AF not waived.

I'm seeing mixed message on if it's a new card or not. On the landing page it says "This product is available to you if you do not have any United Club card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for any United Club card in the past 24 months."
Bold mine, but that would follow with the leaked terms DoC has listed.

But if you open the actual offer details it reads "this card" rather than "any card". So unclear if you have to wait 24 months after getting the Visa Signature version bonus like we thought.
"100,000 Bonus Miles: This product is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of this credit card who received a new Cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months. "

Also interesting as I don't recall seeing this language on Chase cards before:
"If your account is not open for at least six months, United and Chase reserve the right to deduct the bonus miles from your MileagePlus Program account."

DoCs post to compare for yourselves:

Just got notice that this resort is closing by 5pm on Friday. Checkout will be at 11am. Points for Friday night will be returned.

Daughter and family were leaving Friday anyway. I was debating and now my decision is made. This is fine as we will travel north together.

Or maybe I'll go buy a tent and sleep on the beach.…..

(just kidding)

Tent is an option.... or how about a VAN?
