Our touring production of The Color Purple in early April was just cancelled. Not actually terribly saddened by that one. I also have season tix for out other theater, and I expect that next show to be cancelled too. I sold my tickets for that one LOL, guess I will have to pay her back.
On a crazy note, gas at Costco went from $1.99 to $1.79 in 24 hours!!

Ramaleen told me their phone lines were down for much of yesterday (which would explain the several long waits on hold only to be disconnected). I thought I'd try early, but I was still on hold for 1hr45mins before someone answered. Not much good it did me -- she still hasn't called me back, even though she "promised". So I have to make another phone call to them, which I am already dreading. She couldn't even make a note on my file that I called since their network was down. It appears they aren't equipped to handle the call volume they are experiencing. I also got the impression she was very inexperienced and just didn't know how to cancel the booking. I asked for a supervisor, but she said they were all busy and couldn't take a call.

Yes!! I just read this earlier and it works nicely for me as my pass is expiring Nov 6th, and I wanted to stretch my trip later for a few nights - move it away from Halloween and Nov 1. So now I have 2 extra weeks for my November trip which makes my 'new' early October trip a more plausible idea. Love this!
One bright spot for me too, my AP will expire 10/7 and I have a trip 10/17-21. I have already bought (in Feb) a 5 day hopper through UT at last year's price, but it is a physical, not e-ticket, and I have not opened it yet, so should be refundable.

I feel really bad for everyone who's spring trips are being cancelled, not just to Disney parks but New York, Washington DC, and everywhere else.

Does Hilton have any issues with you holding multiple rooms at different hotels for the same time frame? I decided to make some back up plans to visit a couple national parks we can drive to this summer in case our May DLR trip and July cruise to Alaska don't end up happening. Will Hilton's system notice the double booking and automatically cancel one? I'm hopeful this will all pass in the next couple months, but I do have to say, it is so nice with the uncertainty going on right now to be able to make some tentative plans and not have actual money involved in the equation.

I don't know the answer to your question but wanted to throw out a suggestion if you have a P2 in your household. Household members can transfer Hilton points to/from each other. So you could transfer the points for your second reservation to your P2 (setting up a Hilton Honors account for him/her prior if he/she doesn't have one already) and then have P2 book the other reservation. I do not believe Hilton has a waiting period for transfers to new members, but you would want to check on that.

Good thinking! I have diamond status vs his gold status, so I always manage bookings, but I'll transfer some points to him and do it that way.

Just spent 1 hour on line in the supermarket. I don't even know why I went. DH is panicking so I (over)bought some things to calm him down. The only thing I actually need is Lysol (or any) disinfectant spray. I cannot find a bottle for love nor money.

Did you look at the Dollar Tree?
Also, you can look for a purse size Lysol in the travel section of stores like CVS and Target.

Sams Club is my area still has 4 packs in stock - online sold out. Do you have a Sam's near you?

After 27 years of marriage, I would consider that a hot date! 🤣

Oh and Happy Anniversary!
We’ve only been married 4 years and I think we’re already at that point lol. We aren’t really into going out. We tried bonefish grill for dinner and it was alright but we probably won’t be back. We’re gonna take a nap and go to Walmart later :rotfl:

I looked at dollar tree. They were picked clean.. I will try cvs and target. I do have a Sam's but I'm not a member.

Paying statement balance invokes no interest correct? Or do I need to pay the whole balance to stop ever getting 20% interest.

Right, to avoid credit card interest, you only need to pay the statement balance. Some might choose to pay the entire balance in order to keep their total debt to total available revolving credit (or utilization) lower, thus improving their credit score a little.

I survived Costco but it wasn't pretty. Never seen anything like it. Really grateful that so far I've been able to find what we "need."

Also picked up Visa gift cards at OD.

Ugh - I've been putting off grocery shopping. We're pretty well stocked, so I think we can make it another few days without having to go. No way I'm going to Costco though after your report and the others I'm seeing on here . . . insane!

We are very lucky this all started in March and not November. I’d be really worried if we were headed into the Winter flu season with this. Viruses thrive in cold dry air and are not as resilient in heat and humidity.
I feel bad for Australia they are about to begin their flu season so there going to get hit with a double whammy. Luckily our flu season is just about over.

Ha, you and I were going the same places. I actually almost went to the Costco at your end of town since I was at Lewis Ginter this morning. The Costco at Midlothian was predictably nuts. Kroger was bad but not terrible. I was just buying the usual groceries.

Do any mid-westerners know if Meijer counts as a grocery store for Chase quarterly bonus categories? I thought at one time I read that they considered those to be "super stores" and not grocery stores. I'm planning on using a support link from DH on a CFU for myself in about a month, and groceries would be the perfect fit.....
My Meijer codes as grocery for Chase and Amex. I'm in Indiana. I think most, if not all, Meijers code as grocery for Chase at least, but I think Amex is pickier. Maybe try a test purchase next month and see how it codes?

Assuming it works, I always max out the grocery category by combining it with Meijer's gift card promos.

That's good information. Thank you. Maybe Disney World is the place to be this summer!
