What a relief! I was able to get my park tickets and park pass reservations this morning for marathon weekend (1st full marathon ). I'll be using 3 FNCs at TownePlace Suites Flamingo Crossing. I sure hope this trip happens.

It'll be my first full marathon as well! Assuming it happens.

I just got off the phone with Virgin Atlantic to change my dummy return flight to my real return date and so now we are officially booked for Japan in FIRST class! (Hint for anyone trying this in the future: the agent seemed confused and wasn't sure it would work to swap the origin and destination points. I asked her to please try anyway and it worked. So if your agent isn't sure this is possible, just tell them your friend Artygal90 did it in June 2020). Neither DH or I have ever EVER flown first class so this is a big deal! For two first-class direct flights to Tokyo in May of next year the total cost (not including CC fees) was $217. Next up is booking our hotels! Thank you Amex, Chase, and everyone here for such great advice!

I’m so jealous! Dh and I wanted to take DS so badly next year after he turned one but we don’t feel comfortable enough now with everything going on. We still have our points just in case but I’m 99% sure we won’t be going. We’ve been watching japan walk through videos a lot lately because we miss it so much. We like watching someone walk through Shibuya

I had a little anxiety about the 10k spend on my Amex Biz plat....sadly looks like we are going to need a new AC unit so that will basically all be done on one swipe of the card.

Also so far I hate the new AC system process....everyone say something different and it seems like a car sale process where the real price needs to be negotiated.

Not that that is a loss. Said as a guy who lives an hour north of Milwaukee and was a Twins season ticket holder.

Would it be possible to get a Fox Sports Plus subscription if you really want to watch the Brewers? I feel like I looked into it when I moved to WI to be able to watch the Twins and Wild.

I understand the blackout policy when the games are available in your area but some folks just get screwed by living right between lots of markets.

The archaic blackout rules should be waived for mlb.tv subscribers but don't get me started...
I actually live in Indiana and my zip is claimed by the Sox, Cubs, Tigers and Reds. So any of those games are blacked out on mlb.tv for me. Last season, we had PS Vue, which carried the regional sports networks that allowed me to watch the Brewers when they played the Cubs and Reds. I supplemented that with my mlb.tv package. PS Vue is now gone and YouTubeTv removed my RSNs so I probably will try Hulu Live, which has the Cubs new network. Ugh...hard to keep track.

Amex has a new offer for spending at small businesses. It's $5 of $10 up to 10 times by 9/20. It should cover our Chinese/Thai restaurants which I treat my kids to once a week or so

I need new cards and have no idea what to get. Just finished up spend on CIP. Original plan was to get one of the other Chase Business Cards for both DH and I, but that is out for now.

I am 4/24 with one dropping off in August
DH is 4/24 with one dropping off in July and August.

We will have tuition due in August/September so was hoping to get some new cards for this. The school takes MC/Visa not AMEX. Was possibly thinking of getting each of the kids the CSP with my referral. That way I would get 15,000 points per card and they would get 60,000 points. I'm just not sure if they would get the card... Here is what they have.

DS21 - Freedom Unlimited opened 1/19 with $1900 Credit Limit (keeping this open as no fee)
He also has CIP opened 7/19 with $5000 limit. Wondering if I wait for the year to cancel this and then go for the CSR for him??

DD19 - Discover IT opened 8/19 with $1250 limit. Not sure if she would get approved for the CSP or not.

Both have incomes at about $10,000 - $15,000 a year while in school. What is the least amount of credit limit to be approved for on the CSP?

I really have no need of the cards right now, but I don't want to sour any bank relationships. Any suggestions on what to do? I also have a bout 100K AA points that I will probably use at some point, but doubtful it will be in the next year.

I’m in the same spot with my citi card (didn’t get the Barclays). But I don’t remember what everyone else decided was best to do. I have an AAVacations travel voucher that expires in March ‘21, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to use it or not.

Not sure if you know the answer. question on the Amex offer...I’m an AU on a gold card and have the offer. Will both I and the primary card holder get to redeem 10 times OR is it 10 times between the both of us?

I was able to enroll my card and both kids' cards so I think it's 10 times each. I'm thinking gift cards will be the way to go if the Chinese restaurant we frequent can do that. Although there's also a gelato place we like but tend to avoid becuase it's so expensive

I have this offer on 4 logins, LOL, I don't think I will ever use them all. We have a lot of locations nearby, but they all cost wayyyyy more than $10 and the couple I looked at, I can't get a $10 gift card/can't get gift card at all/can't get one online. When work slows down I will have to investigate more.

Quick support question. DH has the CSR and wants to support his brother for the CSP. Can he product change the CSR and not reset the 4 year clock to apply again? We like the CSR for 3x dining (we eat out quite a bit, although we are trying to cut back) and 1.5 travel, but I can't see us booking travel anytime soon. And if we product change to CSP how soon will we be able to get a support link? My BIL wants to apply right away. And how do the AF work? He applied for the card in July so I'm assuming the AF would usually post sometime in August?
