Horrible game...NOT! Fantastic game if you're on the right side! My DH and DD went and braved the conditions. I chose to watch from the hotel room (which was free on points of course). Bragging rights until 2033! GO BLUE!

My DD had gotten tickets but then they couldn't find a ride. I am so glad they didn't go. She is too, especially after the whole sleeping in the airport the night before. It looked miserable out there. She didn't even end up staying at her watch party, she went back to her dorm and went to bed. lol

It was miserable. My DD lasted until half time. She was under-dressed like many of the people and had been at a tailgate party in the rain prior to the game. My DH had a blast. He was soaked but I think the adrenaline kept him warm.

I know things changed early in the year with the CRS's Priority Pass access, What are the rules now for Guest Adult/Child access? Trying to decide if its worth upgrading my CSR to use it on this June's trip but I would need to be able to bring DW & DD in too but I think now its one guest adult or child?
You plus 2 guests. Some lounges allow children for free and they wouldn't count against guest allotment. But that's dependent on the lounge rules, so if what your looking at doesn't do that, a child of any age would count as one of your guests. And check the restaurant rules, some/most? of the restaurant options only give 1 guest for credit - so you'd want to make sure the restaurant doesn't charge you a guest visit for DD in that case.

Okay, guys--please forgive my ignorance. I'm trying to absorb the SW talk. We are flying SW in December. Non-stop RIC to TPA. It is me, my 14-year old (who hates sitting next to strangers), and my 16-year old who has recently developed major anxiety issues. So I can buy ECBI for $20/person. Think I still have $40 of my Priority card $75 credit left as well as my four upgraded boardings. Any advice would be most appreciated!
For Spring Break I plan to buy EBCI for my 14 year old, 7 year old and husband. I preboard with my 12 year old (Type 1 Diabetic). You can always ask the gate attendant if you can all preboard due to extreme anxiety. Whenever I have called about preboarding in the past I have been told it is up to the gate attendant. With that being said I have always been allowed to preboard with my daughter. You can always buy the EBCI anyway but still ask at the gate if your family can preboard. I know this may seem like a waste of money if you get to preboard but I tend to be overly cautious anyway to have the best chance to sit with my family.

Jetblue biz in the mail and was trying to figure out how to use this credit. I guess you'd just have the hotel room as a throwaway night and wouldn't actually stay?
That's the idea. Or maybe you're getting in late (or leaving early) so you use that cheap night near the airport to save time or money. Guess it depends on what you manage to find cheap.

Thanks for the info. We've only ever used it at MCO. I was just considering upgrading the CF to CSR to grab the $300 credit and PP for our June trip. I have no need for the 1.5x so am back and forth on it its 'worth' it and yes I know I can grab the second at years end...

Well still catching up but wanted to share the sw performance WiFi credits posted to my account from this week. Used 3 on one flight and they all credited.

That is great news. Kids will be so excited... Does anyone know if you have connecting flights - do you have to sign up again on the next flight or is the WiFi good all day?

I have never used the WiFi but the ads I saw were for the day of flights.

Edit: Found what I recall;
Internet access for $8 a day per device on WiFi-enabled aircraft. Price is subject to change. May not be available full duration of flight. In order to provide a top-notch WiFi experience, we prohibit access to certain high-bandwidth applications and websites, including Netflix, HBO GO® and VoIP. We also prohibit access to certain obscene or offensive content.

For all those that don't escrow. Do you put away money yourself then for all of those bills? My mortgage payment keeps going up thanks to escrow. They "need" to have a $1500 balance in the account at all times. Well, single mom here, I'd like that $1500! The only perk of course is that I am not scrambling to find the money come tax times, since it's automatically taken out each month. But I don't like that my monthly payment keeps going up. Grrrrr!
We don't escrow. We just pay are property taxes twice a year. I would just open another savings account with your bank and put 150.00 a month in there to cover property taxes.

I have never seen them turn kids away from family boarding either, if one of them is 6 or under. I have seen them make announcements that only 2 adults are allowed to board with them and that extended family needs to board with their own group. I hate boarding with B's because they're after the families (It's my get off my lawn moment). My last B53 killed me a little inside. I do think that families should board after EBCI. I never buy it but i'm annoyed for people who do, and end up with a B (which I've seen happen).

This happened to us and it was annoying and of course it was in Orlando. I had purchased ECBI for the 4 of us and got in the B Boarding group. There had to be at least 30-40 people let on board for family boarding. Guess I get grouchy about this too. I think maybe the family boarding age should be down to 4. 5 and 6 years old go to school and should be able to board a plane and get in their seats just fine. Just my "get of the lawn" opinion. My kids flew since they were under 1 and we never had family boarding on any flights and they did just fine.

Edit - I don't mind if older kids with younger kids all board together as a family. But when the Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents start boarding too - it gets a bit much.

Because you’re higher risk if you’re applying for more cards and have more credit extended to you (collective you, not you personally). Lots, and lots, of people have huge credit card debt. Tens of thousands per person. Chase knows about the 5 cards you got in the past 24 months, and if you are maxing them out, yet still making payments so you have a good enough credit score, you’re a risk. (Yes, utilization impacts your score but I know people with credit scores in the 700s who carry a lot of debt).
I would think they could look at the over all picture. OK person has opened 5 cards in the last 2 years and has utilization of 1%, no missed payments, credit history of 30+ years, longest card open 19 years, a customer of Chase for 10 plus years with lots of spend and credit score near 800. Obviously this person is not a risk.

That is how most banks determine if they are going to give you a card. They look at the whole picture. Not hmm......5 cards we don't want you. It is what it is though. I guess it's up to me to decide if Chase is worth the trouble.

Gonna kinda do a bragging post here....sorry, LOL.

This weekend was my friends annual Halloween party. Back in 2016, I started Contrave (it's a drug) and managed to lose 70lbs. When the fiance dumped me in Jan, I managed to drop to 75lbs loss total (I had gained about 10lbs....so it was a 15lbs loss at the time). I found out the ex suddenly got married at the end of September to the girl he started to date after me. She's 8 years younger than me (I'm 10 years older than him), but she looks 15 years older than me, LOL. I know he's not happy, he's gained a bunch of weight and everyone (my friends) was commenting how bad he looks in his "wedding" photos. He's not smiling, etc.

Anyways, yesterday I turned 43.....And it was great to put this photo on my FB to show just how far I have come! I know the ex is probably jealous AF, (he stalks my FB several times a day) so it's also nice to rub it in, LOL. Now if I could just find a flipping guy! UGH, online dating (or dating at all) really sucks! LOL.

The left is Halloween 2015, and the right is obv 2019 (Friday night). Okay brag over....back to CC talk, LOL.

Other banks will deny for too many recent open cards and some are more arbitrary about it and doesn't publish their rules. Chase also doesn't limit the number of open cards or have lifetime limits like amex.

All the banks have good and bad and none of it should be taken personally if you're denied. Everyone has to decide whose rules they want to play within in and what works for them. I hate bofa but they have Alaska's card and those miles are worth any issues I may incur by having one of their cards.
