I’ve only ever booked the cheapest fares for air travel. You know, the ones that say non transferable and non refundable. So how does everyone change their flights around when the price drops? Are you booking the next tier up? I’m not sure how this works.
Southwest has a policy that you can pretty much cancel and rebook anytime there is a price drop on your flight. Whatever the difference you get back is in the form of "travel funds," which have to be used within one year of your original booking date and only by the traveler named on the itinerary you changed. If you fly somewhat regularly it can be a great thing, if you only fly once a year, it probably won't matter.

:surfweb: still waiting for my new card to arrive so I can spend money!!!!

In other news, the 15 yo came home with a girl's scrunchie on his wrist. He thinks I am ancient so I am thinking I'll have to tell him that scrunchies were super popular "a long time ago" in the early 90's... and that I used to wear them in my hair all the time.
Yes! My 15 yo always has some girls scrunchy. I told him I used to sew them for myself and my friends. I think he was pretty mortified

Booked my spring break flights (CMH - LAS) but forgot about doing it really early. Not sure if that is why they were high. With the CP, I find myself being ok with a high cost since I get a free one. Hopefully they will come down before March.

Spring break plans are Joshua Tree, Death Valley and Valley of Fire. Will be using one free IHG night + points in Vegas, URs for Death Valley hotel and OOP at Joshua Tree which I might use part of my Venture bonus to erase.

Just booked our Spring Break SW flights also! I went on and booked DS a ticket until we get the CP in place for next year. I wanted to make sure he was covered. I had wanted to come home on Sun but only the last nights out that got in at 1:10 am were priced appropriately so I booked the first flight out on Mon morning and he’ll just be late to school.

:offtopic:

I know everyone likes the backpacks from ebags, but can anyone recommend one (from there or somewhere else) that can clip on to a stroller? I'm only coming up with diaper bag options, which is fine but the diaper bag backpack I have isn't very well made since the straps that clip on have ripped. Main thing I'm looking for is the two clips that allow the backpack to hang from the stroller.
I don;t know if they have backpacks, but I always found Skip Hop diaper bags very well made and reasonably priced.

Ok I need some advice! My 40th birthday is in March and I was planning on going to Costa Rica for some fun adventures: zip line, hiking, white water rafting, canyoning, etc.... my plan for SW flights didn’t exactly work this morning, but I did get flights home that are ok - but we have an overnight in Dallas. There’s a jet blue red eye that would work ok going there so that’s probably what i will book. But I was looking around today and found out that I have enough Delta points to fly (only comfort+) to Tokyo March 9-25. I was hoping for something fun and adventurous for my 40th. Do you think Tokyo fits that? I do think it could be fun to spend my birthday at DisneySea!

Who pays cash for SW flights :rotfl2::lmao: That’s so “non-churner” LOL! (Kidding)

But seriously - booking with points makes this 1,000x more flexible!! It’s simply amazing.

Sometimes I book flights just in case - because it’s so flexible, who cares!!! Haha

Sounds pretty cool, fun, and adventurous to me! Seriously sometimes I find that the path that I didn't expect or plan for is the best one. ;)

OMG. You've gotta try NOLA iced coffee!
Is this just coffee in NOLA or a specific brand?
This? http://www.thegourmetgourmand.com/new-orleans-iced-coffee/
I’m so looking forward to food in NOLA. My favorite cities to eat in are Chicago, San Francisco and NOLA. Mmm
Seems like a good reason to take a disney cruise. :rotfl2:
I tried to make a cruise work fro New Orleans but dates and prices are a no go.
Same here, luggage for all this Hannukah! Possibly even for my niece and nephew since I have gotten my BIL addicted to churning in the last month. I told him to join this group, so he's soon going to learn I'm just a young Padawan and not the wise Jedi Master of churning he thinks I am!
One of my coworker’s thinks I’m genius level. Lol. I’m like baby level.
Worth a shot!

AND as I type this, I realize I did not get Xfinity mobile... I got Xfinity Home! I still don't have that, but it says a $39.95 charge so I will make a $45 payment on my cable bill and see what happens!
Ooh. Report back please.
It looks like their standard room is a 2 queen/no view. It is coming up unavailable also for most dates.
Try looking at longer stays. I searched daily for months for a Hyatt stay. Finally found Friday to Monday even though I needed Saturday to Monday. Booked it anyway then called and had them drop Friday from my reservation.
Chase emailed offer for my old $75 Hyatt card: pay utility bills, cell, insurance between now and end of Dec for 5X points up to $2K!!!!!! Yay - that is 10K points in my Hyatt account. Another night at the beach for me with my remaining points - glad I didn't buy the 2k I needed!!!!!!
I got this offer too. Gotta get the autopays changed.

You're making me (more) envious!!

I forgot where you are going, but since you have all those Duffy/Friends, and attaching them is something we saw a TON in Japan (I even got myself a Baymax and the otters from Nemo and Friends), is it Japan???

Have a wonderful time!

We are headed to Tokyo. We are doing a tour with Adventures by Disney but arriving a couple of days early to explore on our own. Then, we fly to Kyoto to join the ABD tour which is 10 days. Afterwards we are doing a post ABD trip to TDL/TDS for 2 nights and then staying an extra 2 nights on our own.

We got our minis in the Tokyo parks last year. I will likely bring an entire bag of merch back LOL

Thank you!

Off topic, anyone visited Magnolia Farms Silos?

Me! We went for my birthday last year. It was fun and not busy since it was a weekday. We tried food from the food trucks, chilled out on the lawn, checked out the different shops, and tried cupcakes from the bakery. I love the dishtowels I got there. We also drove around Waco a bit trying to find homes that were on Fixer Upper and also tried a shake and burger place called The Health Club that came highly recommended by my husband's boss. Anything in particular you wanted to know about?

Thanks so much! How much time did you spend there, think would be enough? We are staying the night in waco but driving from dallas and then will need to get to austin the next day so trying to plan an itinerary. It is mid-week so I lucked out on that!
