Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Atlanta club.

I am flying through Atlanta Monday into Florida. Because of hurricane Dorianne there is a chance I will be laid over for some time in Atlanta. Can I pay to bring my minor daughter into the club with me?
I have a priority pass card from my Hilton Aspire. I can bring one guest. I’m sore it’s the same.

Help and input please!

I am going to part with my skymiles and book a Delta vacation package while it is double the miles. I really think these spring break flights are not going to come down and just having to get two nights rooms to have the value go twice as far seems worth it. I called again and it is a minimum 2 nights rooms. My thought is arrive after midnight first night and use free Marriott certificate. Then next two nights Disney room. Then rest of trip DVC. (I hate to pay for a room at Disney we would barely use). My question: Caribbean Beach? Beach Club? Grand Floridian? GF is $980 more than CBR. Beach Club is $392 less than GF. Rest of trip will then 3 nights at Riviera and 2 nights at BLT one bedroom. If we just flew in and didn't worry about using Marriott free night we would start at GF and then have 4 nights in the Riviera studio.

Right now I am leaning toward GF since it seems like a good chance, but intrinsic cheapness with both money and points makes me want to settle with CBR.

The rep at Delta said she could hold it until tomorrow afternoon...so I just need to decide.

Thanks. :)
Never stayed at cbr. We have done bcv and gfv. I liked bcv over gfv but it was nice trying gfv one time. Given the choice of those three id do bcv, gfv, cbr

I didn’t know that. I thought that the $5.60 was refundable without restrictions.
It might be but I wasn’t offered the refund to cc only a credit when we canceled and rebooked the last flight. Guess there was too much time in between the booking and cancellation

Happy to hear this since that's what I'm flying home in Nov. I've only flown DL coach and 1st never the in between.

Last week when we flew DD up to school, I let her sit in first next to a classmate on the short flight to ATL and sat in her EC+ seat. I was surprised at its width! On the way home, I flew EC+ both legs and it was fine-of course I didn't miss the plated meal in first at all since I'd gorged myself in the Escape lounge in PVD. I think even TATL in EC+ is a good compromise so hopefully your flight in Nov will go well.

DD and DM flew straight Econ from MUC to ATL in June and said it was better than AA's TATL biz product so I'm not the only one who notices the difference.

Thanks all for your patience, especially @Lain who I imagine to be tearing his hair out when responding to me :o

Honestly, it’s been a pleasure helping you with this trip and to get into this hobby. You ask a lot of questions, but they’re ones that show you’re curious and want to learn, that you’ve read what we’ve spent time writing, that you understand and if you don’t you’re just trying to clarify or follow up so you’re not asking the same thing over and over, you’re open minded and flexible with our suggestions, and — hopefully — you’ve been responsible with your credit.

I actually have a lot of tolerance with answering questions and helping folks get into the hobby, but it does take up a lot of my free time. I feel rewarded when people here get approved for cards, bonuses post, their points balances grow, they make a fabulous redemption and take a trip to Disney or somewhere else magical. I tear my hair out when people make bad choices despite all the effort that I and many others here spent trying to advise otherwise.

I don’t want you to feel like you have to use your points to book a premium cabin seat to and from Japan or you’ll have made a poor decision. I’m an economy seat kind of guy most of the time, too; and you have that option readily available to you. But if you have the points available, and the ANA deal is available, and it’s not much more than what you’d redeem for economy, then why not make your Japan trip a little EXTRA?

How there’s no meals in Delta comfort?

True, although airplane food isn't always the greatest. EC+ in DL has a snack basket and then the trolley for another snack and many of us I believe eat prior to boarding. So choosing a meal in the airport or filling up in the lounge versus a meh airplane meal isn't make or break for me. Also, DL has seatback IFE (usually, and especially transcontinental) and usually power portals unlike AA-those are more important in my flight.

OT, does anyone know a quick way to look at what weeks to avoid (Jersey week, cheer competitions, etc.)? We may look at early Spring now if we end up rescheduling, but I've never been in Spring so I have no idea what to expect. I know spring break is usually a killer, but if that's our only option maybe we just suck it up and do the crowds.

For those of you on the graavy train. Are you closing your AA biz cards before your next card? If so, what verbage are you using when you call/chat to cancel your 2 month old card?

Well, DH's public offer CitiAA2 didn't earn any SUB due to his having that card already within the past 24 months. So I canceled it via chat ("decided to not pursue that business opportunity at this time"), and plan to try again for #3 with a mailer...if I get my #3 bonus posted next month.

The strange thing was I used the same public link for him as I did for my #2 (the 40K + $250 SC), and I got the SUB (with #1 still open, different public offer from 2017) plus the 20K match. But he didn't receive any of that. And his application was just 2 days after mine. Although I got instant approval, and his was pending for over a week, I don't know if that made any difference.

For me, I've closed #1 and #2, have used a mailer for #3 and hope to see the bonus when the first statement closes. Which isn't until 9/12 and that feels like a long time from now.

Most folks on r/churning recommend closing your biz cards before your next, which is what SFF has outlined here too.

I like this chart for major things https://wdwprepschool.com/disney-world-crowd-calendar/#Crowd_Calendar_at_a_glance_graphic

I love DH. I told him to pull out his clothing last night and I would pack today. Also planning to run to the store and grab some snacks and water, to check a bag in case we'd get shut in our room...
I just asked, is this pile the clothing you want?
Yup.
As planned, we will have 5 days this trip - 4 park days and an early flight home on the 5th day. He picked 5 shirts. You, uh, don't want an extra shirt or two in case we'd get stuck? :confused3

If you get stuck, won’t you have trip insurance to buy new clothes?
