Anyone have any insight? If SW changes your flight and the new flight is cheaper I'm assuming they don't give you a refund, right?

i just tried to see if i can get the price difference back on my original flight, first flight was $10 cheaper, return flight was $3 cheaper...
i errored out. i think u need to change to a different flight to be able to get the difference back.

Ok, my wife totally calls me Ross, but I take only the good stuff. If the pen doesn’t feel good in my hand, or write well, or doesn’t have the specific hotel’s name on it (just the hotel brand), I don’t usually bother. Same with toiletries.
I take the toiletries to donate to the homeless and cold weather shelters. Since the people can’t leave items at them, the individual size works perfect.

I may go into the shun corner for not following the advice to wait three months between Chase apps, but it occurred to me today that if I applied and was approved, I could use the card to take advantage of Labor Day sales. I've been living without a dryer for months and my car desperately needs tires. I am happy to report that I was instantly approved for CIP #2. :cheer2:

I technically should have gone to the shun corner last month because that's the one bit of advice I did not remember.... but I got lucky too!

Where all can the mcgc’s from OD/OM be used? I used one of my $200’s to buy a Costco gc online. I have another $200 and then would like to grab more. Can we use them on amazon? Target?

Pretty much everywhere. The only places I've had troubles using them were at pay-at-the-pump gas stations and some restaurants, I think because those places put some kind of authorization hold on the card that might exceed the value of the card once you add a purchase to it.

I had a new-to-me experience yesterday at Costco. I returned some items that I'd purchased with a Costco gc, and was offered cash back as the refund...so I took the cash. #slowMSing I try not to abuse Costco's return policies, but it's really hard with clothing items to know if they're going to fit or not!

Congrats.... party: How long did you put between your applications

Thanks. I did end up calling. The original flight they put us on was about $20 per person cheaper than what I originally booked. Since that one didn't work, I switched us to a later flight that was only about $12 per person cheaper, but I still asked for the difference. So now I have $12 in travel funds for me and DS to use for our Easter trip once those dates are released.

We just got back from an excellent food tour of the Mile High Neighborhood in Montreal. So many yummy eats. Highly recommend! Excellent end to our vacation. We fly out early tomorrow morning 😢

I really love my Fairmont pen. It’s very good quality and has a distinct silver color.
Also found a better quality Intercontinental pen from the Toronto location.

Lol total WM fail trying to load Serve just now. Walked in and asked to load my card and the lady said “I remember you from last week” haha. She was really nice. Unfortunately, when we went to load my card the whole system went down. Not anything wrong with Serve, just the whole computer and payment reader turned off and then rebooted. We stood there for several minutes seeing if it would work and it wouldn’t come back online so I had to leave. The other lines we’re huge at other registers. Going in another WN now. I’ve gone twice to the one by work and every time the lines there are ridiculous even in the middle of the day.

They don’t proactively give you that credit/refund. I see you already made the change BUT you could actually change to the cheapest flight available, get that refund/credit, and then change to the flight you want for no up-charge/penalty. That’s why I was making dozens of changes last night. Saved a ton of points with a few tricks :D

Approval isn’t the “lucky” part. They will approve people for these cards. These recommendations are to keep you safe from getting shutdown by Chase (ie they come back after the fact and close all of your accounts and send you packing because you were running too fast). We are ultra conservative with our recommendations BUT our group also prides ourself on never having anybody shutdown. :D (Going a little faster on occasion probably isn’t too risky but you don’t want to do it frequently)
