We close on our house in 11 days! Which means I will be out of churning purgatory in 12 days-ish (I think, need to check w/the lender), just in time to pay for a washer/dryer, couch, movers, lawnmower, and whatever else people with houses need...here's my plan for late August and beyond, would love feedback:

1) ASAP after closing: Refer DH to his first CIP from my CIP
2) Once the referral points post, transfer them to my CSR
3) Close or product change my CIP to get the AF refunded (it just posted August 1)
4) Once we've got a handle on what our monthly spend as homeowners will be and I know we can handle the MSR, get DH to refer me back to CIP #2

My last cards were the Sapphires with the MDD in February and I haven't applied for anything since then. I have 5 Chase cards and am 3/24. I plan to trim my credit limits before applying for anything, especially on my business cards. Is applying for CIP #2 in Sept/Oct. too risky?

After that I was thinking about doing the Amex Hilton Biz to space out my Chase apps. Or, DH and I could alternate doing the CIC/CIU. I feel like I "should" branch out from Chase but I just love URs! What's the best churning strategy once you knock out the CIP, Southwest CP, and Sapphire MDD? If it helps, our travel goals for the next 18 months where I could use points will include: a weekend bachelorette party either offsite at Disney or onsite at Universal, a week in Vegas, Denver, or NYC, and ten days in Japan in January 2021.

Thoughts?

PS - *Thank you* to whoever posted in here that reservations for Oga's Cantina, Savi's Workshop, and the Droid Depot were live yesterday. I spent my lunch hour yesterday booking all three experiences and am chatting with my CM family member now to book the hotel for our January trip (paid in cash, sigh). This is the only thread on here I check regularly so I wouldn't have known they were open otherwise!

There was a shiny new CSP card waiting for me today when I got home! :goodvibes: It's sad but I'm not even worried about meeting the spend on this MSR since we are traveling next month. DH has all the bills lined up for his new Hilton Biz MSR and I'm still not worried about this second one. Normally having more than one MSR makes me nervous.

Oh don't worry! It's only $25,000 MSR for the 100,000 United miles!

I love it. Not even a teeny tiny bit of FOMO with this one! ;)

Thank you!

Approved!

Am shaking lol—and almost late to my 12;30!

Yay! I'm sorry I wasn't around to say "Go for it!" this morning, but it looks like you didn't need my help.

Have you been to this lounge before? Any tips? I am so excited to try it out!!

I can only tell you what my experience has been, since I know poor @tink1970 didn't like it there. The thing with the lounges is that it's often so time-dependent in terms of crowds that they can be wonderful for hours and then a huge mess that same day. My friend texted me from the SFO Centurion lounge today and reported it was too crowded. :(

We love the Centurion lounge in PHL. The greeters are always really nice, we love the food (it's from the chef of Zahav and I like that kind of food), there is a fancy bar, these cool lounge-y chairs where people nap (I haven't but I've seen people there resting or working), really nice spa water, espresso, and iced tea. Luckily, it's never been crowded when I have entered, so it was lovely. It's been crowded when I left once, but since we all had a nice place to sit it wasn't bad for me. I rarely eat much in lounges, I just like having a nice quiet place to relax and plug in my phone, but I can't resist the food in this one. DD used it a ton since she was going back and forth to college, we used it a few times. I'm not sure what else I can add except that they have really nice and clean restrooms.

My CIP points are pending :woohoo:

Lol yes looking at your name now I could have figured out where you live! I visit your state to go to the Costco liquor store lol

The centurion lounge is catered by zahav I think and I’ve heard they have fancy mixed drinks. I’m excited.
I'm looking forward to your review! And we may have been at the Costco liquor store at the same time  Did you see they've started working on the gas station part?

If my choice is a crowded Centurion lounge with some interesting nibbles and beverages OR sitting in a crowded gate area with cruddy food... 🤷‍♀️ :rotfl:

My AP preview plans: Friday and Saturday night club level at the contemporary- a lot of AA miles lol (I think 170,000?)

So my serve card is here, planning to do my first load of the VGCs . I'll stop by Walmart after work tomorrow. I'm trying to find more information to make sure I do it right.

Is there a maximum per day I can load? I've read where some have gone to regular cashier, garden center, money center to load in one trip. I have 4 $200 VGCs. Can I load all of those in one trip (at different registers)? Can I do more than one swipe at a register or is that not smart to do?

More bougie than me :rotfl:

SO was kinda upset I used that many points for club level. He was like Coronado springs is nice and that was 55,000 points and did we really need club level. Well, you know what he should answer his phone at work when I call to confirm the plans before I book. Plus, he acts like he is the one earning the miles? I earn them so I pick what we do lol

$2500 a day. I would do one swipe at one register to get a feel for it. If it goes well feel free to do another register in the store
