I am weird and observe people with gray Mbs in the park. I try to figure out if they truly like gray, or if they were lazy and forgot to customize or booked very last minute. It is honestly the only free color band I do not have in my possession lol
Or they lost their band and got a new one at the fd. I do the same as you though. It almost hurt that my BFF wanted a grey band the last trip. Though she may have changed it to pink in the end.

I usually bring multiple bands with me, but our last trip I actually decided to order the gray band because it was the only color I didn’t already have... I wore it when it matched what I was wearing in hopes that people wouldn’t think I lost my band :rotfl2:

I like coordinating too. The swappable 'icon'/puck makes it even more fun! Luckily I've never lost my MB, but I did notice GF had solid color MBs readily available back in 2016 when I started having MDE account issues accessing my room. The front desk tried linking 4 more red MBs (adding fuel to the fire) before calling IT. I didn't know if the CM was offering me the same color because I had issues vs it being lost. Good to know if it happens!
 

I had my library interview today. I thought it went VERY well but I don’t think I’ll be taking the job. The hours wouldn’t be great. Basically I would always be working when Dh is home from work. She also told me I couldn’t take vacation days during the first 6-9 months there. My parents are coming for a week in August, we were planning to do a cruise in November, and we will definitely take at least a week around Christmas. I guess subbing is a lot more flexible so I’ll probably just stick with that
Doesn't sound as flexible as what you need. You may be needing a lot of vacation time in about 9 mos :cloud9:
 
Me with OT stuff again lol...sorry y'all...Can I ask some really noob questions about the Landry's card? I signed up online last week and received the hard copy in the mail. There is a sticker on the card to register it but I've already signed up online and paid the $25. Is there anything else I need to do or is it ready to use?

So, what does this look like? We cannot get a TRex reservation at any kind of decent time or a Yak & Yeti dinner at all. Everything is booked up there on our AK day. Can I just show the card and get seated or do we still need an ADR?

Also, because my bday just passed, I also have the bday reward. Can we use the $25 welcome reward at one dinner and the bday $25 at the other?
 
I think I found a good use for some of my x stash! Flights to Chicago for 11,500 each, round trip.

We have a hockey tourney the first weekend of November. We just got our hotel assignment (don't get me started on this stay to play crap) and it is 45 mins from MDW, which is where our flight are into. I had a good price on them thru SW, but I can do x miles to ORD, which is only 15 mins from the hotel. Plus, we can fly home late enough Sunday after the tourney is over instead of waiting til Mon morning on SW. Score!

Anyone have experience with Virgin Atlantic? I have been watching their fares for several weeks and they seem to be releasing direct flights from ATL to LHR on points for the flights on Tuesday/Wednesday and some Saturdays. Looking back through to December, most days are showing flights that can be redeemed with points. Do they just release point redemptions periodically or maybe just don't release in the summer months? They have released them for JFK to LHR, but it is hard to think about connecting when there are direct flights.

I am not sure about double registering. That is weird and I do not believe I had that on my physical card. You can pull up a virtual card in the app. If the number matches I bet its fine.

You do not need the ADR at all. You will be seated before guests with ADRs as long as you are a party of 6 or less.

The birthday reward expires on the 15th of the month after your birthday month. You must use the welcome reward prior to the birthday reward and they cannot be combined. If you have two dinners between now and 8/15, you will be able to use both rewards. I did not think I was going to be able use both in WDW and I learned from the boards that you can actually go into the Rainforest Cafe gift shop and use the $25 birthday reward on merchandise if it is going to go to waste. I ended up squeezing in a meal at Bubba Gump in City Walk so it worked out.

You are faster than me. lol. I think it took me 2 weeks to activate mine and haven’t looked at it since. So I guess I need to figure out the bank account linking. Thought I would need help to finish my DH CIP before September but it is already finished. So without a MSR at the moment and not feeling the pressure to try it out.
I signed up and got my Serve Card a few weeks ago. I was really chicken to try it, thought I’d do it with a debit card first but then said what the heck, I had $40on a GC. We have 2 DG nearby but I ran into a nasty employee at one so I went a bit farther to the other. I walked around the store until no one was waiting in line. I actually made a small purchase (cause I felt weird walking around the store like I was casing it :rotfl2:) then said I’d like to load this and handed the cashier the Serve Card. Turns out at this particular store, the card reader is right in front of the register so the cashier can’t even see what card you are using. She swiped my Serve, asked me how much to load, I told her then the card reader said swipe card. I swiped card, entered pin, and done. So easy. I’ve been back and the same cashier was there, so no problems. Only issue I have is trying to use the app to transfer $ from Serve to my bank. Ant seem to do it on the app, which makes the app pretty worthless imo.

If your information was exposed in the data breach, and you file a valid claim before the deadline, you are guaranteed at least four years of free monitoring at all three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) and $1,000,000 of identity theft insurance, among other benefits. The market value of this product is hundreds of dollars per year.
You can still choose the cash option on the claim form, but you will be disappointed with the amount you receive and you won’t get the free credit monitoring.

I guess we all saw this coming...bye bye $125...

I haven't gotten the app yet so I guess I need to do that. Thank you for the tip that we can use the bday reward at the gift shop!! I expect we will get in both meals but you never know! We come home on 8/15 so we should be able to use both rewards before the bday expires.

I'm not at Disney. Should I call them or the cc company?
I think I'd call Disney first. I have a number for their billing - had to call them for a client - would you like the number?

ETA: I have an email for the billing dept too. I contacted through that too and they did respond.

I'd call the cc to see if they can tell you what the fron is for and if the actual trans date is the 29th. If you weren't expecting a charge tell them that then call disney but I think you'll need to know who's actually charging it first.

Oddly, someone used DH's amex on my Sams account to order $2k in disney gc last week...well tried to, but it was stopped for both orders. How crazy! Must be related.
 
I don't do Serve either. I'd like to but we have no FD or DG anywhere around us and I avoid WM at all costs. We have the grumpiest people at our WM. I'm terrified to try anything there!

Same here. I haven't set foot in WM in well over 10 years and I really don't ever want to go back. It's not a happy place.

On the MS serve thing I feel about it the same way probably people who don’t read this thread feel about credit cards. Like it is too much work, borderline questionable, uncertain, and anxiety provoking to the maximum. It is all good though if you all want to discuss it...makes it easier to catch up since I just skip over all those discussions. :)

I completely understand that. I feel the same way - I don't like feeling nervous and anxious. I wouldn't mind tons of points, but apparently just can't get into this.
