Oh, and what I actually came to say was I bought a $100 visa e-gift card and a $10 3rd party e-gift card from Newegg a couple hours and got the congrats on using my offer email from Amex. Haven't gotten one for Best Buy yet. (I was gonna wait to post after trying the Visa on Sam's but it hasn't come through yet, it's supposed to come in 1 hour but in certain circumstances it can apparently take 2 days.)

Thanks for the up-to-date DP. I know Amex Offers has had Newegg before, and I remember buying GCs triggered the credit successfully, but it’s been so long. I did a search and it looks like the last Newegg offer was back at the end of 2017, so I wasn’t sure if anything’s changed.

March can be tricky with weather, especially at Bryce since it's up much higher than Zion. Gorgeous in the snow, though! Are you hikers? Have you ever been to the Utah parks before? I like to spend 3 nights at a national park because that gives 2 full days to hike and explore and (gasp) relax and enjoy the scenery  I would add more time at Zion before more time at Bryce.
@alryan Agree with above. More Zion before Bryce. We did 2 full days there and really needed at least one more. But we went early June and could hike both Angels Landing and the Narrows. Not sure you can do that in March.

Glad you are having fun here! I had to laugh at the bald eagle part and then realized we're just spoiled here. We've had one in our backyard which made no sense but I got a pic before it left. There's also a nesting pair down by the river path I run on. Have only seen the photographers but I know where to go if I wanted to see them 😀 I forget they aren't everywhere.
Yeah Bald Eagles are rare in Ohio. So to see one in the wild gets to me. What you said reminds me of once in Mesa Verde my DD and I were looking at some ruins and some turkey vultures were sunning themselves there. A family from New Mexico came up and were going on and on about these birds, what were they. Umm turkey vultures; don’t they have them everywhere? Apparently they had never seen them. Who knew?

Well my even more up-to-date DP is the e-gift Vanilla Visa worked fine on Sam's! The email from Newegg finally came through after I'd given up on it for the afternoon. Maybe I should "give up" on this Amex offer crediting quick?...

You should read this book. (Sorry for the Amazon link) but it's about older folks who travel around and work for Amazon (among other jobs). I'm sure you can get it at the library.

I read that book last winter! I highly recommend it---engaging, frustrating, humorous at times.

I've had this book in my cart for a while, you've both made me hit the purchase button. Glad to hear first hand reviews. :thumbsup2

Looking to get the SW Chase Business Premier card then Business Performance card later on in year to have companion pass for most of 2020 and all of 2021. In the meantime, looking to gather some "bonus" dollars, miles, or hotel points. I do not care which one just looking for the current "best bonus" recommendations.

Thanks, I must have had Zion and Bryce switched around! I was thinking that the Narrows was going to be too much for us, but definitely out in March. I have learned I can’t be too adventurous with our hikes or my family would really start to complain. I remember our hike to Vernal Falls in Yosemite and all my DH remembers is walking uphill on the wet rock with a 200 foot drop right next to you

You don't want the points for either card to post until 2020. Are you looking for a card before that?

What's your ?/24 and are you looking at biz or personal?

I would like to get a card to churn a bonus before applying for the other two. Since Biz cards seems to get the best bonuses, I was leaning that way but of course open to either. I should be good to go as have opened nothing in past 24 months. Currently I have Disney Premier (I hate not to have at least the standard Disney Visa) I plan on cancelling and the Chase SW card I also plan on cancelling prior to applying for buz cards. Chase has a max of 4 cards to have open at one time? Right? Thanks

Hmmm... now you’ve got me thinking maybe I should do the eVGC from Newegg > discounted Disney GCs from Sam’s. I need to amass a lot more Disney GCs before the end of the year and bump up my average discount percentage. The deals have been tough to come by recently.

They have been tough which is why I rolled the dice. I’m waiting before I buy anymore to see if the credit posts as expected.

Anyone with a DL AP mind checking what the AP hotel rate for the DLH and GC is September 11th-15th?

And what’s the fastpass deal and dining certificate????

You can have more than 4 Chase cards open at once....since you have not opened any cards in the last 24 months you can apply for both business and personal Chase cards...just space them out every 3 months
For business cards the Chase Ink Preferred has the highest bonus 80k URs after a $5k spend in the first 3 months
The Chase Sapphire Preferred personal card has a 60k UR bonus after a $4k spend
