DH (aka me). Applied for CIP#3 yesterday. Created a link from mine. No instant approval but checked this morning and he was approved. Yeah!! So now we both have been approved for 3 - CIP cards.

Could still use another business card with someone else as tuition will be due in August. Going to see if DH can finally get a AA Citi Business card. Has been declined twice for stupid reasons. Might try Amex Delta Business but have both gotten the pop ups so not holding my breath on that one.

(of course my first thought was "OMG what happens if you're on a rollercoaster at Disney in the middle of an earthquake?!")

Unrelated to that, anyone having trouble seeing their MR balance on the Amex website? I want to transfer points to book a hotel for a surprise staycation for my DH's birthday in early August. I've already tried using a different browser and clearing my browser history. Tips? Nevermind, called Amex because I realized I had lost a card. Tori was very helpful. Happy 4th all!

Yikes! I just self referred myself for CIP#2 and was instantly approved with a $6k CL. The new card immediately showed up in my account so I sent a SM asking to expedite the card and received confirmation in less than 5 minutes that the card will arrive in 1-2 business days. The $5k spend will be a challenge but I can do it if I put absolutely all my expenses on the card and prepay some things. I don't want to prepay too much because it makes it that much more difficult to make the next MSR. The plan is to refer DS for his first CIP in the fall when property taxes are due, which will knock out a big chunk of the MSR.

Random priority pass info — I had heard at Tampa you could fly into the southwest terminal and go through security again to F terminal to get to priority pass restaurant but I just tried and they wouldn’t let me. Tsa said I had to have boarding pass for that terminal. He said there’s some kind of special gate approval note I could go back and get but not worth it. I’m here now and bad storms on arrival delayed our bags over an hour so I was hoping to spend time there.

Just checking in from the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. It’s 101F but feels som much better than the 92 and humid we left in Massachusetts yesterday.

Of course - flights and hotel booked with points. Flew down AA biz class - AA domestic first may not be the most stunning product, but was a very comfortable 5 hour flight.

Hotel paid for with URs. I have tons of Marriott points, but this was a late booking and URs worked out best.

I just came on here to say that we wouldn’t be doing this trip without the churning hobby, and it is really great that we get to spend some quality family time together over this holiday weekend. Happy 4th everyone.....and that’s from an Englishman.

I would imagine nothing would happen unless it was strong enough to move the track. I didn't feel one in high school because we were walking across the soccer field after the game. I didn't realize it was an earthquake in SJ because I was sitting in the 2nd level of the arena for a Sharks hockey playoff game and thought it was just people stomping their feel. The building is also built to withstand earthquakes and move with it. Had a message on my cell from my stepdad about it because he'd seen it on tv. Neither were more than a 3 or 4 if I remember correctly. No damage and the size you want, releases pressure but typically doesn't cause damage.

It was actually worse being in the arena during a power outage. We had one during the tennis tournament I interned for, squirrel at the sub station was the culprit. We had opened so people could stay in but no more could come in. Biggest issue was auto flush toilets don't flush. The other time was during rolling blackouts and I was down in the offices working so no windows because we were below street level. Power went out and you couldn't see your hand an inch in front of your face it was so dark until the emergency lights kicked on.

Right above the button. It just started showing there. Before it just said "welcome offer" but there was nothing there. It's also moved to my top "featured card"

Just saw Toy Story 4. It was okay. Didn’t love the ending. Now both kids are in bad moods (no clue why) and the dog’s having a panic attack due to thunderstorms. I’m not sure I’m going to survive their teenage years
