Hahaha! I love it!! It’s so true. I am such an impatient person.

Fortunately, I am on the last season of a show on Netflix. I will need a new one soon!

Season 3 of Designated Survivor was awesome, much better than those on abc but watch the first two seasons first. They were still good and needed, you can't just jump in.

Then there's always the board fav Gilmore Girls :D

Yeah, but it totally dropped the plot line about the AG getting ready to indict Kirkman unless he decided to not run. I love Michael J Fox, but his whole special counsel inquisition in Season 2 lost me. Can’t believe how they wrapped up Hannah Wells’ arc, but the show just didn’t know what to do with her after they resolved the central conspiracy of the first season. I feel that way about the handling of a lot of the characters. I can’t count the number of times this show has jumped the shark. But I keep watching because I’m an old time West Wing fan and Designated Survivor has shades of that, and it picks up on a lot of themes reflecting what’s going on in politics right now.

Sorry, I hopped on the train so I could use AA to extend my next trip (not enough DVC points). Not the first time a great thing has ended once I joined in.

I really hope they come back though.
Pretty much same reason I jumped on too. But like @SouthFayetteFan said can cash out to Disney gift cards if booking a room at Disney doesn’t work out.

Forgot about the MJF part and none of the comments after I finished mentioned it so I wasn't the only one that either didn't notice or didn't care. I was also not happy with what they did with Hannah but it closed that par up and made it so they didn't have to continue with those type of stories. The show has changed direction at least as many times as it's changed showrunners anyway, but this last season at least seemed to be on the same road most of the time.

Since there was some talk about Niagara Falls recently- we just booked the embassy suites for this weekend. A king fallsview suite for 8800 ur points. I’ll suck it up and pay $60 cad to self park.

It’s basically next door to the Marriott fallsview which we stayed in last year. I also had a bonbon free night certificate and I could have used that at the 4 points Sheraton which is the only 35k Marriott in that area. But it’s only $116 cad and that didn’t feel like I was getting my $95 af worth. Thinking about a fall weekend trip to Washington DC, I can probably get more value out of that certificate there.

What are your thoughts on the Marriott Fallsview?

I’m eyeing some Shun or Miyabi knives this time around. 🔪👨‍🍳🔪

How is everyone else planning to spend their Saks credit?

Bought towels that were on sale - a bath sheet (I guess that's bigger than a bath towel?) and 2 hand towels for $50. The ebates 10% cashback will cover the tax. Hope they feel more luxurious than the Costco ones, lol.

Didn't realize Designated Survivor is now on Netflix. The show lost me a bit when Kirkman's wife died. I kept thinking it should be part of some bigger conspiracy.

Or just hate on TPG. I got 10 upvotes just for saying I flick my metal cards at a photo of him.
Yeah I was one of those. Lol. 👍
Can I still be a member of this group if I just ordered checks??? If it makes it better, I paid for them using my Amex to go towards MSR!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I still have to write checks for car payment to my credit union. Also my life insurance twice a year. Plastiq didn’t work. I feel like I ordered a lifetime supply of checks from Costco last year.
Did anyone else sign up for the official Barclays AA Biz for the 65k mile offer plus 10k miles for the purchase on an employee card? Not just ask for a match? Curious as DH and I have received our 65k miles each + 1k miles from the MSR but no 10k for employee purchases that were made right away, ~$2 purchases...
I did. First statement closed and 65k points posted. I didn’t receive the employee card until after that statement closed, but it should close July 12. I’ll let you know if you’re still wondering at that point.

It was nice. We stayed in a superior fallsview room which was the 16th floor. The view was amazing. The room was very average. It’s conveniently located right at the top of the funicular and the hotel gives you a free 2 day pass for the wego bus, we just walked though. The whole area is fairly compact and going down is easy, up is a bit harder. Food in the area is very generic and very expensive. I think we paid 19.99 for chicken tenders at Applebee’s.

I thought so too! The show kept emphasizing the wife’s Russian heritage and financial ties the MIL had with some shady conspirators. It all went nowhere!

Wow, can't believe my luck! Just checked my SW flights for September again. Our return flight had dropped 720 points last week, getting me 4200 points back for all 6 of us. Now our flight down there dropped 720 points too! Just got another 4200 points back in my account! I'm up to a whopping 13,300 SW points now haha.
