Google...chase refer a friend...sorry don’t t know how to put a link...then put your info in
Thanks, I've tried that. It says to text the link or email it. I'm on my laptop so texting won't work, plus I ...er..DH doesn't want to apply on his phone, and I thought I read emailing the link can take forever to show up. When I try to copy and paste the link in a new browser it doesn't bring up an application. ???

I saw the MSEP in 1976 and 1978 with my dad and my uncle who are both gone now. So many memories of seeing the parade and then going shopping for our *one* souvenir.

We had a day trip in 1976 and then we stayed overnight at the Disneyland hotel in 1978. I remember how it looked then with the monorail going alongside the huge (to me) parking lot. It was the first time I had ever seen an olympic size swimming pool!

I tried to imagine the past when dh, the kids, and I stayed at the Disneyland hotel in 2014

Wonderful memories. I stayed at the DLH around that same time, too, but I'm not sure the exact year but it must have been either 77 or 78. My father took me on a special trip and I remember that giant pool and taking the monorail to the park. I remember they were trying out a new ticket - unlimited rides for the day instead of buying those A-E tickets, and IIRC it was less than $20. We got them since my Mom was usually the one who stood in line for those tickets all the time and she didn't go on that trip and it was so neat not to have to deal with the tickets each time we wanted to ride something. :goodvibes

How Frustrating....I’m on an iPad and can copy and paste the link to the application

So an intriguing little piece of ROTR and DLR crowd gossip from the DLR side of things here. It’s friend of friend situation but still. Basically claiming ROTR situation is bad and very expensive. Lack of crowds has TDA “desperate” (so no, this light crowd thing was not Disney’s goal no matter how they PR spin it).

I’m glad this bit them in the butt Hopefully they learned to not be so greedy. I’m hoping the Grand Californian comes down in price for our September trip

Wow. I really thought it was just because they blocked out the locals. And because they are being pretty greedy with the price of the park tickets and APs. I can tell you that's what stopped us from taking a last minute trip a few weeks ago. I've long wondered if many people avoid going to DL altogether because over the last few years it's become a "locals" park and it's just too crowded. I know that's kept us from visiting, that and the prices. We end up flying to FL instead and feel like we are getting a better deal, which is pretty ridiculous considering Disneyland is a 5-6 hour drive from my home. In other words, I think they created this problem. Also, I wish I was in a position to take advantage of the low crowds right now, but we can't travel.

It’s funny that you think the crowds at DL are worse. I feel like walking around on the weekends it definitely feels worse but I can get maxpass for things basically instantly or within a few hours. I’m tired of booking a WDW stay and not getting slinky dog until day 65. Also, I love Toy story midway mania and I can’t even ride it at WDW I can do that multiple times a day at DL with maxpass

Try copying the link and pasting into a new email to be sent to DH so he can open on his laptop (or whatever he plans to apply on). Applications do work just fine on phone browsers though. I’ve applied for our last 6+ cards on my phone and no issues and Chase referrals have been awarded.

Used the email option and INSTANT APPROVAL!!! Lowest credit limit he has gotten but it's his third business card currently open so I'm good with it.

I remember the first time I opened a business card about 18 months ago, I was SO freaked out. Now, not so much. LOL

I haven't tried Max Pass. I'm annoyed that it's not free when staying at one of their expensive hotels. So I can't compare. But DL is very small, and I've been in some scary crowds over near the river area, trying to get through Adventureland, etc. I don't feel WDW is that crowded except that night I was in the MK on NYE (OMG never again). Also I can usually stay CL at WDW for less than a standard room at the GCH. Every time we decide we are going to try DL again, I book it, we look at the cost vs. what we get, and we cancel the trip. My DH is now saying that Disney's pricing is making Europe seem cheaper so we're going there instead. :rotfl:

ETA - We seriously did switch the last 3 trips planned from DL to WDW. And at this point we're just going to take a break. The parks will be there when we are done going abroad. And in a way it's been a good thing since I never would have taken that cruise to Iceland if I knew DL would have been reasonably priced and not super crowded. And that cruise was the best trip ever. ;)

Chatter earlier with the happy guy cards and Home Depot. I was able to use 12 of them from different sources to get Disney gift cards at different Home Depot’s. Glad it worked otherwise I would have covered furnace filters for the next 10 years. I won’t keep such a big stash going forward.

If you want terrible Allegiant stories, google Allegiant and safety. My parents fly them all the time because it goes from their small airport to our small airport. I will not fly them. First because of the iffy safety record and second, when I have priced them out, its not often any cheaper than a legacy carrier. Once you add the flight, your bag or carry-on, your boarding pass, ect. They literally charge for every single thing. There are ways to save on them but its a little like Spirit to me, you have to know what you are getting into. Also, as someone above mentioned, if something goes wrong with one of their planes and delays it, its a pain. They have no reciprocal agreements and no extra planes to pull into service. I don't want to be a downer on them but do your research before you get on and know what your getting into.
Thanks. I did read alot about it today. Seems the M80 planes that had the maintenance issues all were retired in 12/2018, so that should help that. They are newer airbus planes now. If I don't go with these allegiant flights, I will be doing the 8 hour drive for a second time in a month. The other lines are significantly more expensive, even after fees. I haven't decided for sure what I'm going to do yet.

My fam would be there if the tickets & hotels hadn’t hiked so much in price. We prefer summer tbh. But prices have gotten so out of control when we saw the Spring special we jumped, despite the castle being under refurb and the parks having multiple construction projects because it was “affordable”. Yeah, we thought SW would bring crowds as well and F&W is always fun but ultimately we went due to the price. It’s all about the Benjamins.

I have to say, I was sitting here smirking to myself that they are getting what they deserve. Prices have been skyrocketing and the experience declining. (and I am referring to the parks overall...never been to DL)

Sure diet buster, baking cookies. I love cookie dough, though I didn't eat any of the chocolate chips because I kind of prefer the dough without them. And I made myself 3 cookies without the chips because that's all I want for a nibble anyway and I probably won't eat them all. But 92 cookies in all, thank goodness they are a quick bake so I got it all done in about an hour and a half.

For sure need to get one of those guard things for my kitchenaid, had a bit of flour to clean up since I was doing a double batch. Only put in 1/2 cup at a time so it wasn't too bad but enough. Do any of you have one of those? Does it work well? I have a hinged mixer with a metal bowl.

Any tips or tricks for Hyatt MCO?
I can transfer 12k UR over to Hyatt. Cash price is $219. The stay is 2 weeks from tonight. Not seeing a better price on Priceline or Hotwire. Doesn't look like MRs work for Hyatt. Am I missing anything?

I have one. Word to the wise...don't put it in the dishwasher. Mine is now warped and doesn't sit quite right on my bowl. Otherwise, yes it works well.
