Crazy Mom's! I already know how I'd redo this kitchen to add in a dishwasher since there isn't room as is. The house was built in the 40's and has the original wood cabinets. They have been restained and have new hardware but I've never liked them, the look or the style. The counter is about 6 years old and is fine but again not my style or color. Well really the only room in the house that is my style is my bedroom I remodeled the kitchen in my NC house, when I was living there, because it was bad but usable for a bit. Stripped it to the walls, added a dishwasher and cabinets where the stove was because all they had was the stove on the wall. Now it's a nice eat in kitchen that hopefully someone rents in the next few days so I can start getting money from it again.

There is very little/nothing in the kitchen I would have chosen for myself but it's too new and functional (except for the missing dishwasher) and I am just too frugal to replace perfectly good items just for cosmetic purposes. She even had the sink moved rendering the space incapable of holding a full size unit. I might be able to squeeze an apartment sized one in without too much trouble, except she removed all the old plumbing and electrical there!

In my case, "Crazy Moms" is an understatement! She would wash my mouth out with soap if she heard some of the comments I have made....

I’m gonna do a short trip update:

We ate at whispering canyon cafe last night and the food was just okay. The atmosphere was really fun though! It was fun passing ketchup around from table to table. Villain dah was so much fun! I loved it! I danced a bunch in the hub right in front of the castle where the dj was. I wouldn’t do it again but for a one time thing it was fun.

Today we slept in and hung at the hotel. Then we ate dinner at the wave and omg was that good. Dh said it might have been his favorite at wdw. It’s probably in my top 3 restaurants here. We also played pinball in their arcade for over an hour. Spoiler: I’m kinda good at pinball and got to put my initials on the Star Wars pinball machine.

We’re doing rope drop at hs tomorrow. I’m trying to decide what time to get to the bus stop at wilderness lodge. It opens at 9, I want to get there at 8, so I’m thinking get to the bus stop at 7:20 ish.

We have ever eaten at the Wave, but we’re thinking of it for our next trip. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Used the email option and INSTANT APPROVAL!!! Lowest credit limit he has gotten but it's his third business card currently open so I'm good with it.

I remember the first time I opened a business card about 18 months ago, I was SO freaked out. Now, not so much. LOL

The best part of the remodel of our fred meyer, besides that it's finally almost done, is they have boars head meat in the deli now. So much better than the previous options. Though I did notice with the gcs getting moved they don't have the 25 sis gc just 50, the 45 pack and dlr tickets. I don't get the point of having the 50 and the 45 pack, the 45 pack needa to be variable or 25. Sucks for fuel points though because I will often grab a 25 then way less likely to do 50 unless I have sb money.

Our Kroger carries boar's head but its so pricey ($10-12/pound). We have a local store that sells it for $7/pound so that's where I go.

I’ve only gotten instant approval on one of my seven Chase cards lol. Don’t sweat it.

Good plan? Assuming nothing runs out. I need to cancel my CIP1, I can do that anytime now since it's over a year, right?

Mine came with a plastic guard that goes over the top. Mine is about 8 years old so not sure if that matters. I do need to get a new paddle because the paint is chipping off. Seems to be a common problem.

I like the paddle that scrapes and you can put in the dishwasher. So much better than the one that came with mine.

FT's reporting a massive amount of failed redemption on gift cards for Amex airline credit...(AA first, now DL and WN) could be the end of it...
would sit tight for another week to see what happens.

I'm sitting on one for WN and sweating it out.

I wouldn’t be concerned....call the status line to see what it says....if 7-10 days....it’s either a ID verification or denial.

In July, DH's would have had his CSP for one year. I want to PC or cancel the card as we don't need it (I have CSP). Should I wait until the AF posts? Or can I do this on the one-year anniversary date?

Back on page 1728. Change in plans meant we are back at WDW for the weekend and did DHS After Hours last night. MK today, still flying home tomorrow. Checked into the Dolphin yesterday for one night booked direct AAA rate since tonight with AA miles and not only did they do the normal Platinum things, upgrade, points, etc., I got a pin! It's just a silver Mickey head but I was told it was exclusive Platinum members staying here. They also linked my reservations so we don't havr to check in again today AND I was asked if I wanted ti skip housekeeping for points.

I often bypass housekeeping to get extra points. I did have to request my points from my last Marriott stay as they didn't give them to me. I don't think I would do it 10 days. Maybe I am the odd ball but I don't change my towel at home every day. So I don't need a new one everyday at the hotel. I've found you can ask for extra towels and still skip housekeeping.

I have found that everywhere offering an incentive to skip housekeeping still comes through on the 4th day usually add part of the deal, but you still get points thay day (though I've never done Disney for the gift card).

Let's be honest, everytime I am at Swolphin and do it they still clean the room everyday and I get points The times I have not skipped they never make it to us.

Well that Allivet amex offer ended up coming in handy since I realized they had horse products. Just spent $80 on a ONE OUNCE jar of ointment for my horse I had a $5 coupon so it ended up being $55 after that and the statement credit. He's lucky I love him.

I cancelled my CIP about a week after the anniversary date in May ..but before the AF posted on 6/1

Well, this should be interesting.

I accepted the Biz Plat upgrade of my Biz Green yesterday. My Biz Green turns 1 year on 7/28. I figured if I waited until 6/28, I'd be on the hook for a prorated AF of only 1 month, or ~$50. Instead, I see an AF of $97.80 has already been charged. Oh well.

I accepted the upgrade in the afternoon, and my account reflected the new Biz Plat by the evening. My Amex account is very confusing now with all these silver cards with the same last 4 digits! I enrolled my new Biz Plat in the Dell benefit, clicked through Ebates for a pitiful 2%, purchased a $100 Microsoft GC, and now we wait to see if the transaction posts before the end of the month. My previous purchase at Dell delivered and posted the day after purchase, so I'm somewhat confident. The reimbursement should post ~3-4 later, which will put it into the next semi-annual Dell credit period, but from what I've gathered it's the post date that matters and the reimbursement should come from the January-June credit even if it posts in July. At least that's the way I understand it, or else Amex Chat and I are gonna have words.

Sad to read about the increasing hit or miss reimbursement of AA/DL/SW GCs from the airline fee credit. I'll hang tight until that's clearer and put off selecting my preferred airline on the new Biz Plat. Worst case, I'll select United and use up the credit on baggage fees when we fly to Disneyland over Thanksgiving or to Hawaii for the Christmas/New Year's holidays. United really is a better fit for my selected airline anyway if we actually buy tickets with points and can get a 35% rebate of those points back.

I have yet to sign up for WeWork, and I'm thinking maybe I should just to swing by for some free coffee?

$10k MSR over 5 months! I think I can do it. It's not the best use of spend, but I'm trying to stay under 5/24 at least through the end of the year and finding myself scraping the bottom of the barrel with Amex. Those 50k MRs will be a nice boost to my growing stash. Not counting points from spend, I figure my BBP SUB will take me to 800k MR, the upgrade offer and spend will get me to 860k MR, and I should have about 25k MR coming from Ebates in a month and a half. I see the Biz Plat 50k MR upgrade offer is still available for my BGR, which hits one year in November. If it's still there by then, it'll be very tempting as I'm getting quite close to 1 MILLION MRs! And I haven't even touched the Ameriprise, MS, or CS Platinums yet. Maybe next year.

I wish Amex would just make the credit like Chase and be done with it - a flat $100/$200 travel redemption for a very broad category. I feel like that would drive more people to them.

I hate having to buy the giftcards for redemption. I typically use my credits as intended for upgraded seats, or Discount Den on Frontier or food or whatever.

Chatter earlier with the happy guy cards and Home Depot. I was able to use 12 of them from different sources to get Disney gift cards at different Home Depot’s. Glad it worked otherwise I would have covered furnace filters for the next 10 years. I won’t keep such a big stash going forward.

Wow...I have leftover Home Depot cards. Maybe I'll try a Disney card purchase today.
