Is the lounge after security and in the same terminal? You should have enough time. Do you have precheck? When I went to the Bahamas going there was normal they just checked my passport at the check in desk before security. Coming back home and landing in the Bahamas was when things were different.
It is after security but I’m not sure if it’s in the same terminal. I’m pretty sure it is but idk for sure. No we don’t have precheck.

FYI DoC posted an easy $50 investment bonus with an outfit called Ellevest. Read up here Expires 5/28

My $50 went pending immediately, should post in 90 days. Unfortunately I ended up opening and funding an investment account instead of an emergency savings account but the fees look tiny and I only have $50 at risk. There is no minimum deposit, some people are doing $1 and the bonus is pending. I did $50 personally. As soon as your account is set up you are able to generate a link so it might be possible to get it yourself and sign P2 up with your link tripling your bonus (link generator gets $50, user gets $50).

I have created a monster and DS doesn’t want to stay anywhere but a deluxe for the EP. We have done the early entrance once since with the EP there is no need to get early.
This is me. I really need (or want) EP. Stayed at Sapphire Falls for a few days before moving to RPR for a conference last year. I used single rider lines but really missed the EP lines. This was even at a slow time so I am just spoiled.

I am an early person so still went early a few days. I like being in Diagon Alley with as few people as possible. I just love that atmosphere you get with very low crowds.

Forgive me, but this "plan" is how I started several years ago. I'm embarrassed to admit it. Thankfully, it was just a starting point and led me to keep learning, eventually stumbling on this great group. I made poor decisions early on based on the short-sighted plan that really set me back on future apps. I think the guy that started Richmond Savers is one of the hosts from the Choose FI podcast. I've listened to a few episodes, but knowing the connection makes me wary.
I think lots of us have an embarrassing churner beginner story. I got my first CP by following a bunch of arrows from MMS. .....shame to my household LOL!

I used the free version to organize our Vancouver-Alaska trip and was able to add all excursions, dining plans, etc.
I've used this in the past. Like the way it can auto add the items from your email. I now just rely on my spreadsheet though since I have a template there I really, really like.

So my enthusiasm for the Hyatt has waned a bit. That happens when the fire alarm wakes you up at 5 am and you have to walk down 32 flights of stairs. It counts as my workout for the day, right?
That really sucks (but thanks for sharing so I could use the new likes emoji of wow instead of just like!). Hope this is the one sour part of your travels and the rest is amazing!!

Thanks for your response!

Thanks for your reply! I think my username is Cynthia Lang. Email is poohlovr717@hotmail.com. If you could send me an invite that would be great. I would be willing to do the business cards and would qualify. My husband has not applied for any credit cards in the last 2 years.
That isn’t a valid Reddit username. You can send me a message on Reddit if you’d like if that’s easier to establish what your name is :)

Churner news from this weekend

DH's PNC bonus posted on Friday.:yay: I'll start to look for the next one.

I had a real churner's moment at Meijer. Bought a Bissell Crosswave and groceries. Knew I only needed about 240 on the DH CIU to finish MSR so had the clerk ring up the Crosswave separate from the groceries to use two different cards. I don't normally even remember things like splitting to use two cards so I felt a little proud.

Anxiously waiting for 6/2 so I, er I mean DH, can apply for CIP #2. Met MSR on my CIP so need another one for property tax due at the end of June.

Non churner news, Working on my scrapbook from our Colorado Springs trip. I am a total digital convert. Mostly because I actually finish those. It takes me forever on the non-digital ones and I would never finish. Plus I can quickly print a second copy for anyone else on the trip. And Pillsbury sent me a free Shutterfly book code for my birthday! I'll use that and my gift certs bought last year on AMEX offer to "pay" for it.

Thanks!! Did you add your support link on reddit?

Anyone looking for a trip planning app, I can vouch for this one.

I get free TripIt pro from work (we use Concur for travel approvals and reimbursement) and I really like it. It’s a quick and easy way to store and retrieve confirmation numbers and quickly verify flight times. I’ve also found when there’s a flight delay or gate change, TripIt updates me well before the actual airline.

My first churner move was signing up for a Discover card that gave me a free Garmin GPS unit.

I forgot to check in yesterday for our flight from ord to ric. This morning when I checked in I was surprised to learn the flight departed at 12 pm instead of 2pm. So no Field museum. Checked my email and had no emails from Amex travel since December about flight. Called and they said they emailed me in March. I don’t have it. United offered us a 6 pm flight but dd swims at 4:45 am and works after school so we decided to stick with the noon flight. Amex is offering me a $100 travel voucher. I take it I should accept it? Obviously I don’t think they owe me anything. Clearly I should have checked recently to confirm my itinerary!

Personally I’d accept the $100 voucher. Bummer about the flight time change but nice gesture by Amex.

I'm curious about the free TripIt pro for using Concur. We use Concur at my work, did your employer let you know about the TripIt pro or did you just have to get a code to put in TripIt pro? I'll have to do some digging at work on this as well.

I think we received an email about it several years ago when we switched from our old provider. Not sure all companies provide free TripIt Pro but you can try this:

@Haley R It must be pretty bad because didn’t you stay at Red Roof Inn or something in Joliet? Lol. No way I’d do that. The Hyatt Vancouver is very nice, no real complaints except the fire alarm at 5 am thing.
No we stayed at a Hilton property in Joliet. I don’t remember having any big issues at that property. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a red roof inn before.

This Hyatt was right by LAX and had a 24/7 shuttle so that’s why we mainly chose it but our first room was absolutely disgusting. I’ll go write my hotel report right now and post some pictures
