In RI we have so many lawmakers that own liquor stores that we will likely never see alcohol sold anywhere but there. I love visiting places where we have the luxury of buying beer in gas stations and grocery stores but it’s a foreign concept around here.

I’ve only been to the northeast once and it was in junior high on a missions trip for my church. I don’t drink anyway so it doesn’t bother me either way but Dh will sometimes just go into the gas station and get a single beer.

I am getting ready to book our cruise on RCCL Oasis of the Seas for December 2020. Prices are great because it is before the Holidays and the kids will just be getting home from college on Winter Break. So, I have about 400,000 UR's right now. Just starting to replenish my stash after using 200,000 from the last cruise. I am having such a hard time parting with these points....

Originally was going to go cheap (as we have other vacations planned for 2020). So, for 4 in an inside cabin (which we have always done 4 in a room and it works) would be about $2100 or with CSR or 140,000 points. Then we have been spoiled with balcony's so I priced us for 4 in a balcony room and it would be $2750 or 183,000 UR's. Then for the heck of it - I priced out 2 Inside Rooms that connect. So kids would have their own room. That would be $3200 or $213,000 UR's. An extra room would be nice but then giving up the balcony. They don't have 2 connecting balconies available (and it was more than I wanted to spend anyway).

I have the points - just hate using them. I like to hoard them. But I know I can get more... I don't know which way to go.. Any suggestions.

are there 2connecting ocean views? that is sort of a compromise.

If you go to the UR page for your CIP, under the indication of how many UR you will be earning on your next statement, there is a link you can click that says "See More Activity" (or something like that; I'm going from memory here, although I do check every few days). That will bring up a list of your posted charges (pending charges won't show up until they post, and even then sometimes they come and go for a couple of days before they are there permanently). That list will tell you the bonus earn, if any, on the charge.

Found it; thanks! All of my Plastiq payments over the past week for property taxes posted for the 3x UR bonus.

Yes, but no one knows how long this'll last this time around. If you plan to use Plastiq on the CIP to pay the bill, I'd do it sooner than later.

DH got the Amex Plat mailer for 100k MR...can I refer him from my Plat and he still get 100k MR?

No.

If you were to refer him from your Plat, you'd get 15k MR to your account, and he'd either see a 60k or maybe a 75k MR welcome offer when opening your link in incognito.

There is - but at the very very front of the ship. And most things on this ship are in the AFT. (and the ship is 4 football fields long). I have tried putting together every combination. Of course, family is of no help. They just tell me book whatever I want... UGHH!!

But it's not a better deal than the 25%+ off Friends & Family sales, unless you already have something in mind and don't want to risk it selling out while waiting for the next sale.

And sadly, my kiddo's obsession of the moment seems to be moving on from Disney to Hello Kitty (and her Sanrio friends) and Pokemon.

I really wish our Costco had self check outs or a lane for under so many items...sometimes I just want to run in and grab a rotisserie chicken for dinner and the lines are crazy

They are very convenient. Yesterday I came through with 3 items in my hands, frontline plus, stuffed peppers and allergy tabs and slipped right through self checkout no cart in about 2 minutes. If I knew I had to wait, I would have not gone or had to push a cart. But week days during the day are great.

Oh I had this problem once, in a previous job we received payments from vendors all over and I occasionally had to call them to get more information about what they were paying for. One came from the government of Canada, so I called the number (as you do). The rep answered "Bonjour!" Totally threw me off guard, and me, being the idiot that I am, just said Hello and hoped she spoke English. She did. I didn't represent my company very well that day. The crazy part is, I've had enough French in school that I could have navigated that call - Bonjour, je m'appelle... Parlez-vous anglais?

Whoa... I just got a call from 1-800-935-9935. I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. Googled the number and it's Chase's fraud department for checking and savings customers, except the voicemail they left was in Mandarin. These scammers were able to spoof Chase's number. (I've also received calls from a spoofed Social Security Administration number before.) Be careful folks.

OMG! My oldest DD (who is definitely beyond 5) is planning to ride the "hello kitty' plane when she goes to a wedding next year in Cambodia. I can't remember if she said she has to fly it to or from Japan or any of the details, but its in the plan somewhere. There aren't too many direct flights from here to Cambodia so she will have to probably stop anyway, maybe in Singapore. We always used to drop into the shop at Epcot to get hello kitty and other things. I have Pokémon albums from when the kids were young. My grands can have them when they get beyond the destroy on first sight phase. They are getting better, but leave em with a pop up book and they think they have to pick the popup off the page.

Id personally use the CIC at staples to get amazon Giftcards for the 5x UR.

I have 17,000 left until I maxed out my Amex Gold. I hope to get another 4k done this week and then hopefully the rest is done in July. (another $1250 coming my way) Then ill get SO one and hopefully I can finish another 25k in MS by December.

I'm trying to remember, but I'm inclined to say no. I've bought physical Disney Gift Cards from the site before (for the cooler designs), but don't do it often. I think if Ebates did credit, I'd do it more often.
