That went so poorly for me last time that I am about scared off of trying again. And I don't think I can get Zack to call for that, he's worse than me. And it doesn't help that he's had mostly bad phone experiences (what luck... about the only good ones have been setting up his CIP accounts lol).

I remember reading your post here about how your call went and trying to follow that, but the guy I got couldn't find the $5k offer was just really determined to sign me up for whatever MR card earned extra points on shipping. He kept calling and leaving me messages for a few months. Looking at the WeWork site, I do think Zack would like that especially when traveling vs trying to work in the hotel room... but since the locations are downtown I don't think he'd actually go. Not much warehousing in the pretty downtown areas Looking at his current jobs, those are 20+ mins from his jobs/hotels and I just know he wouldn't bother to drive that far then. And I know at home he wouldn't go down to those vs going in to the office.

I found an interesting electronics organizer on Amazon I think I might get. Adding on to my efforts to simplify my packing by having some duplicate stuff ready to go, and the fact that I forgot my darn phone cord last week and had to buy one for $20... What I am really liking/intrigued by is the fact that you don't actually have to remove the cords to charge things if you don't want to. How nice to just unfold it and be able to line up phone/camera/external battery and just plug them into the wall or into an adapter (I've got a 6 usb port adapter for traveling... somewhere). Thought I'd throw it up here in case it interested anyone else.

The ebates and the Amex offer have me feeling like I need to buy something at Ebags. To Mother Lode or not to Mother Lode? And if so, to Junior or regular? Or should I get a rolling carryon to replace my cheapy Target bag, that I still love, just worry about its longevity. Too many decisions. How long is the ebates offer? I am not sure I have time to stare at suitcases all day today.

I got the Motherlode - regular, not junior, a couple of weeks ago. Its really nice - used it on a quick weekend trip and it was comfortable to carry (we took the train and carried our stuff all over NYC) and fit TONS of stuff. I never expanded it, and it fit all my clothes for 3 days, an extra pair of shoes and my medium sized handbag inside it. In fact, I'm eyeing the junior because the Motherlode was really bigger than I needed for that trip. I'm trying to get DH to take the Motherlode off my hands (he's looking for a new weekend bag, and he carries camera stuff with him, so he always needs 2x the room that I do) so that I can get the junior - esp. at the price right now with ebates/amex offer/sale.... its kind of killing me.

Anyway, I'd vote Junior for a good overnight size, full sized if you want something that you could pack several days in and carry-on.

I walked by a wework place in NYC when we were there - kinda wanted to whip out my laptop and send some emails just because. I don't see a time I'd ever use it - if I'm traveling for work, the hotel room works fine (quiet and generally fine internet connection) and if I'm traveling with the family I'm rarely in a place where I'd find a wework location.

Question about flying SW and purchasing the upgraded boarding using the SW Priority card---if you purchase the upgraded boarding for one leg of your trip, do you get it for a second leg? Or would we have to use the boarding position received at our 24hour check-in time?

This is legitimately the first non-nonstop flight we've flown in years! We're flying from PHL to SMF with a change in PHX on Friday.
