Today’s plethora of news is ironic given some recent posts (including one yesterday here) saying essentially “the sky is falling”. THE GAME IS GOOD FRIENDS!!!

I am (impatiently) waiting for this Sunday to get here to apply for my CIP#2! I have a crazy (for me) plan to apply for the CIP, Arrival Plus, and Citi Biz #3 for me, all within a month! The CIP I'm abiding by @SouthFayetteFan 's rule of 3 months between Chase biz apps (CIC app was 2/4), I don't really have a concrete plan for the UR's but I'm sure I can come up with something! Just hoping the loophole holds out for a while! This will be my 4th Chase biz card, which makes me nervous but I only have one personal Chase card currently, and will be closing my Marriott biz after the free night posts sometime in June.

The Arrival Plus I'm a little nervous if I'll actually be approved, I have the Aviator Biz which I got last year, used twice, and then didn't use for 6 months or so. I've been putting some spend on it the last 3 months hoping that will make Barclay happy. I really hope to be approved because we have a trip to UO/WDW/beach in June and DL/SW in July and have one night at UO and the rental cars for both trips that I could help erase with the bonus. Between those expenses and paying our mortgage through Plastiq I think we can make the MSR's. Also, the Citi Biz I plan on applying 6/5 (day 94 since last app). We leave for Florida super early on 6/6 or else I'd wait one more day. Can pay mortgage via Plastiq for that also.

Yeah, I saw that. When I was reading the only thing I could think of was yeah, wonder now much this costs! We did the dessert party once and though it was super expensive (for 4 people). Would maybe do it again but it's borderline worth it for the view/stress free viewing. This package isn't even in the realm that we'd consider (I don't think anyways).

After I wrote this, I just remembered Dh's AA offer was for 40K points and a $200 statement credit. I would think I could use that statement credit against a check's bag fee, right?

I had this happen to me years ago...you should be able to see in PayPal and maybe eBay too that the address you sent the bag to was a confirmed address....send then the tracking number showing it was delivered there

Yes, all of that is in paypal, and even the dispute says they can see it was shipped and they are looking into it. I don't understand how they can claim they didn't authorize the purchase. Someone stole their user name and their paypal account and sent me funds, 3 months ago? And now they are concerned? They even made multiple offers on my bag before I accepted one.

Agreed. I think the dessert parties and dining packages are a bit borderline worth it. We just did this one on Sunday since it was pretty busy, booked the day before. Though I didn't like the dessert choices as much as last time. This is craziness to me... and I wouldn't be surprised if the special fireworks viewing is in the garden with everyone else

We really just need a bank close by that we can get cash out of or deposit cash. Otherwise we will use Heritage bank for everything else. Do you think they would be okay for those purposes? If not, who do you suggest? Chase bank?

I'll throw in another vote - PNC is fine for everyday type banking (also live in the Pittsburgh area where PNC has a big presence). I rarely go in, but occasionally need special signature guarantees. We use the ATM and most of my banking transactions are done online. I don't know what the minimum is for no fee account though, DH's pension is direct deposited and we keep a fairly high balance.

I think they can maybe say their card was stolen or 3 year old Joey or the dog were bidding. Not sure. Ebay / PP rules are stacked against the seller -- one of the reasons I stopped selling there. Hope you can get this successfully resolved. In the few disputes I had Ebay found in my favor, but that was years ago. I know how frustrating it is. Hang in there and send them all the proof you have. I am wondering why they waited so long to file a dispute.

This has never happened to me, I just got an email from Paypal that a dispute has been opened against me, and they have taken the funds back out of my balance. It was for a Dooney I sold on ebay and shipped on Feb 4th. Package was delivered, I can see the ebay listing where they won, and they say they did not authorize the purchase. WTH do I do now???

Im sorry this is happening. I'd google your situation. Pretty sure you'll find some answers on eBay's forums. I'd think you're at least entitled to the item back (assuming it was actually delivered the the buyer's address).

As long as your card is attached to your advantage number and that's attached to the booking you'll be fine. When I first got my us air card I had two ff numbers somehow and it wasn't connected properly. I'd just show the cc to get free bags and the early boarding until I called and got it sorted. So that's an option you can try too but it should be fine as long as everything is linked.

Wspent yesterday evening at the emergency room with DH.

He's fine. He took a header on his bike yesterday afternoon (not moving fast, he was wearing a helmet). Banged up his face, shoulder and hand, and was feeling kinda dazed. All seemed ok, but a few hours later he had a kind of small seizure and passed out on the couch (scary - eyes rolled up, uncontrolled movements, not responsive for a couple of minutes). I had just called 911 when he came back to himself. I decided not have an ambulance come, but took him over to the emergency room right away. They checked him out - just a concussion, and he hasn't lost consciousness again. He's home today, pretty sore and his head hurts some, but he isn't nauseated anymore.

Also, my dental work was pretty painful, so they kept asking him if he needed anything for the pain, and he was saying "no, I'm fine" while I was sitting there going "noooooo, get some serious drugs and slip them to me!" We didn't get home until well after midnight, so I'm tired and my mouth still hurts like the dickens.

We have a high deductible insurance plan (with an HSA we can use to reimburse ourselves) so I'm figuring that last night was probably good for a good chunk of a MSR... always looking for the silver lining.

I've been in a weird space, just quietly reading along. DH had an MRI today. It should be read tomorrow. Hopefully everything is okay. This is from his recent ER visit and a CT scan that showed a little something abnormal. I am taking a vacation day Friday. I'm pretty mentally fried right now.

@1st*toright and @GlamMistress, I'm so sorry to read about your husbands. I just want to say they're in my thoughts and I'm wishing them well, even if it's taken me a little time to post my well wishes. This thread moves so fast, as does life, and keeping it all in order is hard work, but I want you guys to know that I'm sharing in your concern.
