So my lovely, super useful manager who had no manager experience and no working factory experience for our department (only corporate experience in the department which is not the same) has decided that this is his moment to seize his dream: moving to Colombia with his family and opening a bilingual call center

Hey, whatever floats your boat dude. Anyways, our factory manager kind of let the cat out of the bag in a manager meeting so of course this news hits the grapevine. This meeting was back on 3/21.
Meanwhile, all through the grapevine, we narrow down his last day, who may be replacing him, yada yada. On 4/11, in the company wide newsletter, they announced who was taking his place. Then later in the day hung the notices up in the factory - still, this guy has not told us to our faces! Only our department supervisors!
Tomorrow is his last day. Earlier, he came in and told me it was nice to work with me, etc, he's not disgruntled it's just time for chapter two in his life, and how he's trying to get around to say goodbye to everyone today to make sure he doesn't miss anyone - he's not trying to sneak out on us! And the whole time all I could think was Dude, I signed a goodbye card for you 3 hours ago and this is THE FIRST TIME you have told me to my face that you are leaving!
