For those of you who've been around for awhile, you may remember my dd18 has a chronic illness. She is sick again and it's a bad flare. I've spent the day on the phone with doctors trying to get meds called in and then running around to get meds (spending a small fortune...). Appreciate any prayers or thoughts for us both. She's in pain and I'm worn out.
Praying for her and the rest of your family. Hopefully the meds will work fast and she can get on with her normal schedule.

Well...if it helps...
I'm sitting here thinking how awesome it is that we're both under 5/24 and now with the current loopholes we can get 3-4 CIPs and 4 AA Biz cards a year PER PLAYER without touching my 5/24 status. 600k-800k URs and ~500k AA miles each year... And we could grab 2 SW CPs if we wanted them at any time...so many good things!!! :teacher: :D

If that doesn't help...
Blech...being < 5/24 sucks, URs can't be used directly for Disney and AA miles for Disney keeps getting worse...r/churning is right...goodbye 5/24, I should just get dozens of AA cards and hit up 30 other random small credit unions milking them for all they're worth!!! :crazy2: :sad2: :furious:

Read whichever line supports your current position and justifies things in your mind!!

How are you doing 3 CIPs with a SSN? I missed this

@wendow sorry to hear about DD. She has Lymes right? Hope she’s feeling better. Like your plan for August with the dining plan. Sit down credits aren’t classified kid vs adult?

@1st*toright sorry about your DH make sure he gets plenty of rest. Concussions are no joke. We were just around the corner from your hotel last week at the residence inn Manhattan east we really liked it (and only 35k points)

A few DPs

giftcard dot com sells mcgc - they don’t code as debit cards on Plastiq. Staples and grocery store ones still work.

Applied and approved for Hilton Biz last Tuesday. Got 20k self referral points by Friday.

Also stop and shop peeps gc sale going on Friday - $15 coupon for future grocery trip.

Congrats! I have no idea how you decided on a house in one day though. It took us a 1 1/2 years but we knew we wanted a new build and looked over MD before we decided and then had to wait 5 months for the house to be completed.
I was very specific on what I wanted. I wanted a pool (neighborhood or personal), one of the two nice elementaries, a newer home, a subdivision, and some other things. The house we bought actually wasn’t even listed, but the lady we bought it from has DVC and AP so we talked about Disney a bunch! She showed us new builds the first day we got here and hinted at a house being on sale soon. It ended up being her house

Congrats! So exciting. Hope the closing, selling of old house and moving all go smoothly for you! So much for you to look forward to with Japan and moving.
Thank you! We have a realtor coming Friday to assess our house. I’m hoping it sells pretty fast. The house across from us sold in a week. Our house is in a really good location. We close our house less than a week after Japan lol. It’ll be a busy week

Yes. You can send a message to get it done.

That's what I thought, thanks!

typically, u cant balance transfer from a chase card to a chase card... it has to go from chase --> amex, or amex to chase.

It's not a balance due. I have a credit from cancelling my WDW group rate and want to buy gc to cover the room I booked with an AP rate. I get more/better offers on my CFU than on CSP that has the credit balance. It's only like 440 in credit so I don't want to deal with requesting a check when I could spend 125 of it tomorrow on my CFU for the 10% back at lowes up to $12. I did $40 at rite aid on my csp today for 4 back. But I needed to make sure I could do like Judique said before I spent the money and then had to get a check. :)

I'm trying to get caught up...7 pages to go...ya'll are chatty today.

But in the meantime, I have another WWYD that is, as usual, :offtopic:

Poly vs BWV 1bedroom?
$2875 vs $3300
This comes about b/c now DH says he isn't popping in for those couple day as planned, and therefore we are only a party of 4.

I have a serious issues. Is there a resort changers anonymous group I can join?:rolleyes1
We own at BWV...and I love one bedrooms for the kitchen and laundry....plus the ability to walk to Epcot or the Studios ...but if your trip is more MK centered I would stay at the Poly

This is just a dumb change. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but if you wanted to use "points advance" then the easy way around this would be:
1) book a placeholder reservation that uses up all of your points
2) book the reservation you want on points advance
3) cancel the placeholder reservation to get all of your points back

It's easy to say this won't matter, BUT it could affect somebody. If I had 75k points now and wanted book a night at a 50k property for December they'd take my 50k and I'd be left with 25k. Now let's say I knew I was going to earn another 10k in November for some reason BUT I also wanted to use 35k points for a night in July that comes up AFTER I'd booked the first room. I'd be out of luck, or I'd have to cancel the Dec room, book the July room, then re-book the Dec room (and hope it's available still for a points advance). Or I could book a 2nd room for December on points advance, then cancel the first, then book my July room. BUT if no more rooms were available on points for December I have no option...

If everything I just typed sounds ridiculous AND confusing that's because IT IS! This change makes 100% NO SENSE other than to needlessly inconvenience customers.

Multiple CIPs is all the rage right now - my best advice would be to check out the news thread on DISchurners and go back to the original discussion on it. In general just know that you can get multiple CIPs with no 24mo. waiting period.

Thanks for this! How easy is it to earn those 110,000 SW points. Do bonus points count towards CP? I didn't realize on Frontier they don't. :( Should have read the T&C more carefully!
Step 1: Signup for SW Biz card 60k offer, spend $3,000 MSR
Step 2: Signup for SW Personal card via one of the 50k "in-flight" links we share on the DISchurners news thread, spend $2,000 MSR (I wouldn't do this the same day...you could do it a day later...or you could wait a month if the SW Biz MSR will keep you busy).

Then just sit back and watch 115,000 SW points roll in and your CP is now active! CC bonus points count towards the CP. It typically is best to earn this as early in the year as possible to take full advantage of it for almost 2 years BUT it could make sense for you to do it now if you'll get decent use out of the CP for the rest of this year and all of next year.

Last year. Went from 12 months between bonuses to 24 months.
Are you confusing this with some other change...SW bonus waiting period has always been 24 months. Are you thinking about when CSR/CSP went to 48 months?

EDIT: OR are you thinking of the 1 SW personal rule?
