Can't get plastiq to take my temporary Citi AA Biz numbers... womp womp. At least I tried. Will go back to waiting for them to come in the mail like a peasant.
That’s not been an issue for me at all. I usually get the temp number and immediately go meet the MSR through plastiq.

Well that leaves a lot more options then - since we are both in the shunned zone with AMEX. I could just self refer to some of the Business Cards that have $0 annual fees or $0 the first year and just get 20,000 points for basically doing nothing.... I looked at all the cards that came up under the referral and it looks like I have the No Fee options of Blue Business Plus, Plum Card ($0 the first year), Simply Cash Blue and Lowes. So I could get 80,000 points for myself and or DH. What is the limit for referrals on a card and do they reset each year? I am pretty sure I have not done any referrals on this card. How spread out should the apps be and you can only have 4 Charge and 4 Credit Cards open correct?

Referrals are capped at 55,000 points. So max one card and then move onto the other. The Biz Gold is 20,000 per referral. Plat 15,000. You can have open 5 credit cards unlimited charge cards. 2/90 for credit cards charge cards there is no rule.

I just checked and both our departing and returning flights are all 737-700s. I was either looking at a wrong flight last time or it changed, but I'm really happy that all of our scheduled flights are 700s!

I would keep watching your flights...not our flight but the one that was cancelled was on a 737-700

I suck at this game. Applied for the csp NOT using support because i found a 60k reward point offer on line. Charged annual fee and when i called to state that it should be waived the first year they told me not with my offer. I am disappointed and mad. I dont think i am cut out for this.

Aww, don't feel bad about it. And don't give up yet. We all make mistakes (or at least I do) in this game. As SFF said, the links now direct to that same offer but the extra 10,000 URs are equal to $100 if you cash them out so it's really the same deal. Go grab a Dr. Pepper and some oreos in the shun corner and it'll make you feel better.

Thanks. So, If I referred 3 cards would they give me 20,000, 20,000 and 15,000? I don't have the Plat. DH has the Personal Gold but that one is at 10,000.

Thanks for the excellent review, striker. We'll be here for our one night in NYC Easter week. We are arriving (and leaving) via Amtrak Penn Station so sounds like we made a good choice. I have a premium family room booked using 15,000 Wyndham points.

That's exactly what I booked - 2 nights in a premium family room for 15k each. Talk about a deal, it's no wonder this one hit 30k. Tryp used to have a variety of neat rooms, including a fitness room and a Samsung experience room that included a 3D projector, but it looks like those classifications are gone. Big room it is, then.

Getting there couldn't be easier - just look for the 34th St exit out of NYP and walk down 8th Ave one block to 35th.

There are a couple of good places to eat immediately nearby. Tick Tock Diner is great for breakfast and located under the Wyndham New Yorker on the corner of 35th/8th. Skylight Diner is another great breakfast spot on the other side of 34th, at 9th. If you like Italian sandwiches, check out Sergimmo Salumeria at 35th/9th - super good sandwiches and cannoli.

You da best lol.. Thanks. I was looking for a good breakfast spot. I plan to take the kids to the Natural History Museum and we will visit Times Square. Day 2 I have Statue of Liberty Pedestal tickets and then Hamilton at the RR theater. At 11:00pm we Amtrak it back to Philly to fly to Las Vegas since AA cancelled our flight leaving out of JFK. Any reccs for dinner in that area? I plan to hit Eataly when we are in Battery Park.

DH reluctantly called this morning and the automated line says he was approved for his CIP!

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic until it shows up and we get the bonus and referral points, but I think that will be a while since he won't call to have it expedited. Would that get eyes on his account that could be a problem?

Any dining recommendations in the area near the Park Hyatt? I looked online and didn't see much.

I always recommend walking a little farther west from Times Square to Hell's Kitchen to eat. From there, anything you want is good. For Thai, Larb Ubol is one of the best meals we've ever had in NYC. Queen of Sheba is an ok Ethiopian restaurant. Meske is a block away and better. If you want street food, you can't go wrong with the 53rd and 6th Halal Guys further downtown (bring cash).

This is a tough one because the immediate area is kind of corporate-y. When we stayed at the PH, we frequently headed to other neighborhoods to eat. 9Ten had a decent breakfast. I've heard Norma's is great but we haven't been there. If you're into How I Met Your Mother, the bar that inspired McClaren's is nearby - it's an Irish Pub called McGee's and it does have good food. A little further, highest recommendation to Kung Fu Little Steamed Buns Ramen (that's the name). Get the soup dumplings!

Congrats party:

Actually, I cannot explain it as I don't carry a personal AMEX. That is the info that I received from AMEX when I called them. You could call that number that I listed above and ask questions if nobody here knows the answer. Sorry!

Ok, gotcha! I was mostly curious since they used the word transfer and that would be a little different from how they operate their Small Biz and Personal cards which all pool into the same MR account. With that setup, the concept of a transfer like Chase uses doesn't exist so didn't understand the logistics if they changed it since I last saw it. I didn't want to be giving out bad info :)

I noticed today when I opened ibotta that I could add my Fred Meyer card so it will automatically look for offers I've added. It also had Kroger, Rite Aid, QFC and Kmart. I'm not sure if there are others for those in different area's, obviously FM and QFC are regional to the PNW so you may have others. I think it also said it was in beta so I don't know if that means only certain markets/users have it or not.

If you're into How I Met Your Mother, the bar that inspired McClaren's is nearby - it's an Irish Pub called McGee's and it does have good food.

I'm making a note of this for my someday, eventual trip to NYC.

Thank you! I haven't had time to plan this trip yet so this really helps.

Thank you!

Yeah that’s how it would work.

Well, that is just awesome. I just applied for the Blue Business Plus for myself and DH and the Lowes Business for DH. Instant approval on all 3 cards (No SUB's though because of Pop-ups). That is just the easiest 55,000 MR Points ever. I am so excited. Wish some of my other cards had higher referral's. Is the referrals capped yearly or in total? Rethinking keeping the Business Gold if yearly - I think the fee is $175 for that one unless it went up.

Congrats!!

I didn't expedite mine either, didn't want to chance having eyes on it myself since the other CIP is still open. I'm leaving next week for a trip and I hope mine comes before then!!
