I suck at this game. Applied for the csp NOT using support because i found a 60k reward point offer on line. Charged annual fee and when i called to state that it should be waived the first year they told me not with my offer. I am disappointed and mad. I dont think i am cut out for this.

no he never got the card. I just let it go. we will try again for the Barclay's cards for him maybe in a few months.

Yes, it is the same as getting the 30-day message for the CIP. It will change soon to either a 2-week (very good sign) or 7-10 (not such a good sign). Just keep checking the automated number. Hoping you get approved!

I am thinking of using mine and DH's MR Points and cash them in for Carnival Corp Gift Cards at 1:1 Ratio and use for the Alaska Cruise next year as they work with Princess and Holland America too.

Right now I have the Amex Gold Business and DH has Amex Gold Personal. I am going to be closing these when the year is up because of the fees. We both have the Green Business too - not sure if keeping yet. Am I right that I can self refer to the Amex Blue Business and then get 20,000 referral and then 10,000 SUB after spending $3000?

I just got the Delta Business in February - is it too soon to try for this? I could refer DH and he could try for one - but last time he got the dreaded pop up. But he has not had a card in a while....

I just tried to get AMEX Blue Preferred Business for both DH and I and we both got the stupid pop up... If I still decided to get the cards for both of us - I know I won't get the 10,000 SUB but would I still get the 20,000 referral bonus for each if approved for the cards?

Yes, remember the Bonvoy Brilliant was the SPG Lux first so no problems using the credit at SPG (mine was used without issue over Christmas). I think some of the "credit at SPG" questions are about gift cards purchased at Marriott properties...those haven't been accepted at SPG properties in the past, I believe they've started to do it in select hotels slowly.

I've got plenty of time to open other cards to get more points if needed. I'm unfamiliar with the area, so just wondering if any of you all had been and what your thoughts were?

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Anaheim. it was right across the street. We are Marriott Gold so we got water and Milanos when we checked in and a park view room. The rooms were recently renovated. No carpets! The service was also awesome. Texts throughout my stay asking how everything was etc.

I just got around to checking our SW flights for this summer (based on @SouthFayetteFan 's helpful post yesterday regarding SW flight changes due to the grounded Max planes). I'm feeling much better, our June KC to Orlando flight is on a 737-700, and the flight back is on a 737-800, however there are two other non-stop flights back that are on -700 so if we were to get rescheduled at least there's two other options that would likely work. And our July Wichita to LAX and San Diego to Wichita flights are all on -700 planes so hopefully we're relatively safe that way. Now off to check some flights for my mom!

Oh yay! That's right, it was about the giftcards. I want to use my credit at Swolphin as well. I just snagged two nights at GF with my DVC points for Memorial day weekend and want to add on a night a Swolphin!
