@palhockeymomof2 I stole your idea and applied for the Plum Card today with a self referral. I don't plan on meeting any spend, but that was an easy 20,000 MR.
Quick question for Chase business experts: DH got his first CIP two years ago this May. When he (I) applied I put his business he had just got the licensing and DBA for. The business name...not his name. It is a legitimate business (but no EIN). Following the CIP this last year (2018) I got the CIC and the CIU also under the business name. I cancelled his first CIP about a month ago. Now going to apply for another one. Should I keep up the successful trend and just put that same business name or should I put his name as the business (conventional wisdom). We have never been asked for any type of veriification at all. What do you all think?
LOL just what I need more ideas. Is this a charge or credit card?@palhockeymomof2 I stole your idea and applied for the Plum Card today with a self referral. I don't plan on meeting any spend, but that was an easy 20,000 MR.

oooooh interestingCharge card.
So could also refer DH, who is in pop up land, just to get the referral?Charge card.

LOL, yeah, I don't think there is much more we can do for him with AMEX unless I spend a whole bunch. I am still in the good graces though. But with the once in a lifetime for most cards, I don't think there is much else we could ever get anyway. I don't want to piss them off for me, because I have a longstanding Delta I want to keep on my report, but I do use my cards once in awhile after spend, and have yet to get the popup.I guess the risk would be pissing Amex off even more. But honestly idc. I got one for me and one for SO.
Q1:
P2 got the chase Hyatt late dec 2018, we're just about to finish up the second $3k spend to get the addl 20k points after it took forever for the first 40k to post.
P1 got the Citi AA biz a few weeks ago and were almost done with that spend ($2k for 40k points and $200 statement credit, and matched for addl 20k points).
Q2 plans:
One of us is getting the CIP soon. P2 got his first one July 2018. Not sure if I should have him self support for his second before that option closes, or go for my first, obviously using his support link. Leaning toward getting him his second because if that option closes, he won't be eligible again until late 2020. That will keep us busy for the majority of the 3 months.
We've hit our medical deductible (well, other than the 10% now) so that helped us hit spends fast in Q1 but won't be a factor in Q2.
Woohoo! Starting off Q2 with a bang!!
X2 CIP #2s approved instantly this am!! I got 5k limit and DH for the win with 9k!!!!!!! Cross referred each other.
We are planning to buy a bunch of furniture this week so the timing is perfect! Already SM’d to expedite.
Q1: P1 - Citi AA biz, Barclay AAdvantage biz
P2 - AMEX BBP
Q2 plans: CIP #2x2 (done!), Citi AA for P2, Hilton biz for each of us, second AA biz for P1
Charge cardLOL just what I need more ideas. Is this a charge or credit card?
I know having a second Aspire will fill up all my Amex credit cards spots (5) and I'd be pretty much done with them unless I am willing to cancel one of the SPG/Bonvoy cards and at this point, I am not. So, I wanted to get the no fee Hilton which I've never had. That would put me in position to get an upgrade bonus to the Ascend which I have had and wouldn't be eligible for a SUB. Once those two things have happened, I am hoping I'd get an upgrade offer to a second Aspire. I will not be adding the Hilton no fee card to my current Amex log in. If I don't get an upgrade offer to the Aspire by the time I need to have a second Aspire in place, I am good with straight out applying for it without a SUB. I just didn't want to do that without trying to get some more Hilton points via the no fee card SUB and an upgrade offer.
DISNEY RESORTS ARE BACK ON AA MILES!!!!!
Pricing seems a little wonky right now, maybe they're still working on that but THEY ARE BACK!!
EDIT: I promise this is not an April Fools joke. I am deadly serious about my credit card points.
- useaamiles.com is not at 1cpp, it's a little higher
- aavacations.com is much lower than that but still requires the rental car
- I can't find tickets or dining on aavacations.com now either
- Perhaps this is all part of them fixing it
Trying out the PP mco lounge this morning. Not all that impressive, especially compared to Timberline in Denver.
