Awww I'm so sorry. What a bummer. But that sounds like a good sign that anther manager contacted him. At least sounds like they're interested in him enough that they'd like to keep him in mind for future positions.

My DH and I are the last Americans who have never seen an episode of Game of Thrones. Well, I've never seen a single episode of any of those shows mentioned, actually.

Nope you're not...I don't watch vulgar/violent/otherwise 'nasty' themed stuff.... I just don't tolerate stuff like that well. I like gentle,good humored,relaxing tv. (the worst I got was watching SVU for a couple of years which stressed me too much so I quit) I can't watch anxiety producing movies and tv at all.

Sorry he didn’t get the job. Did he have a coding test? SO frequently had those when he was looking for a job and he got so many rejections because of them. A big 4 software engineering company in Mountain View CA has been emailing him and calling him for the past month. He thinks he will fail the coding challenge. I think he may reach out tho. He interviewed with them when he was a new grad but after the coding challenge they called him to say the positions have been filled for his class. I think that was a nice way of saying you failed the coding challenge lol.

@Andysol , I didn't get a chance to post the other day, but thanks for the great info on the CSR at one year! I was going to keep mine because I love the card, but I also have a CSP so I'm definitely going to use the CSR credit, downgrade, and then PC my CSP to CSR when needed.

Funny what people react to - nudity etc. doesn't phase me, neither does language, but my threshold for violence is pretty low, and people being horrible to each other in cruel ways generally means I'm out. So, no GOT for me (I read the first book, felt super icky and annoyed at the end, never had any interest in the books or the show after that). Every once in a while there is a show (or movie) that is interesting enough that I will push my boundaries (the Americans is in this category), but pretty much anything that has been on HBO in the last 15 years is not on my list. Household favorite show at the moment is the Great British Baking Show - low stakes, super gentle, really fun and good for the whole family!

Is today the last day for signing up without the fee for bonvoy or was it yesterday?

Yesterday. The $125 annual fee is already displaying on the Bonvoy Biz landing page.

I was having issues trying to apply to the Marriott bonvoy AmEx yesterday but finally sent in an application via the referral I sent to his email. I know the last page I got "we received your application" and there was something underneath it asking if I wanted to add more "business" employees names for extra cards. What's strange is there is no email to him saying they received his application or it is reviewing it etc. The website was having issues, so I am hoping the application was really received and yesterday was the last day to apply without paying the $125 annual fee. Has this ever happened to anyone who has applied to this card?

Household favorite show at the moment is the Great British Baking Show - low stakes, super gentle, really fun and good for the whole family!

This is my DH's favorite show. He watches an episode every night. I like it, but it isn't something I would sit down and turn on the tv to see.

DH just took our little one for her GE interview. He said the interviewer was pretty gruff (asked DH who he was, and he was like um, her dad? She's 6 - not like she could do the process without an adult!) But the interviewer came around, and wound up being pretty sweet and helpful when it came to getting LO's fingerprints, helping her position her hands correctly and everything. LO is easygoing, so she was fine throughout. Not sure that her card will be here before she and her Dad do their trip in a couple of weeks, but I'm not even sure if they can use it this trip - they will be clearing customs in Ireland on the way back to the states, I think - do they even have GE lanes there?

Anyway, just need to figure out which card we haven't used the GE credit on and get the process started for our teen, then the whole family will have it

Glad it went well and IIRC there are GE lanes in Dublin and Shannon.
