A second time?! :scared1: That is not normal. It will be interesting to see what the investigation discovers as to the cause of the fires. Sorry they are going through this.

Unfortunately this is fairly common. My DH is a firefighter. It's called a rekindle. An ember can be smoldering (for hours even) then reignite. Also, the weather can play a part, windy days, etc...

@Haley R so sorry about your sister and law and her family :(

My temp number, exp date and ccv came up on the computer after I was approved. The number is only good for about 10 days. So weird that you didn't get that. I've gotten it with each one. You could try calling again. Can't hurt asking again!

Right?! I will call again, maybe a new set of eyes will "see something new". Maybe???

What offer did you apply for? If it wasn't a dummy booking offer that's why you don't get the instant card #. On those dummy booking offers they give you the instant card number because technically you're using this card to buy that flight you were just looking at...right?? ;)

You also don't get it if you weren't autoapproved. I tried to check your comment history but didn't see anywhere that you said about which offer you chose or when/how you got approved so if I missed that I apologize :)

I was auto approved but I don't think it was the offer from the dummy booking. I say that I don't think so because I was trying to go that route but also multi-tasking of working and trying to entertain a spring breaker!! I was hoping that the number would be on the approval screen like AmEx is, I'll try calling again. They were very nice and it doesn't hurt to try.

On Facebook this morning, someone posted the rope drop line for Hollywood Studios. It was pretty packed. The ride waits looked long today too judging by some posts I saw.

I wish I was at WDW. Sigh.
The ride lines were long..figment was 40 minutes standby....we rode 4 rides with fastpasses...then strolled around the world Showcase

The dummy booking offer would be if you went to attempt to book a flight. It would've had the statement credit tied to it as well. Do you know what your offer is (and/or do you have a screenshot of it?) At any rate, not a big deal now :)

Success on 2nd attempt to get MY citi AA personal matched to the 60k offer! Once through SM'ing did not work. I did a late night chat and the CSR said they would put in a request. Got a letter today saying they will add 20k miles to my account!

Now, I need to request matches for dh's biz and personal.

Still waiting to hear from Barclay for my Aviator match.

I also do not have the Chase bonus tracker. I'd like to have it but honestly, I can do some quick math in my head and figure it out. Maybe Chase is rolling it out in stages.
I will say that one value would be on Co-Brand cards if you could verify that you’re getting your points on the next statement.

I did attempt to book a flight because I was checking some dates for a possible flight and then thought "oh yeah let me look at the cards while I'm here". However, it could have timed out in between everything else. The offer I have is for 50K AA miles for $3k in 3 months. I do remember seeing the statement credit at one point but no big deal now.

I’d check to try to match that offer for 20k more pts OR at least to 60k and get 10k more pts. :) You can try thru Chat - obviously @wendow just succeeded for 20k :)

Can you request a match to the whole offer? As in, @chattadisser app'ed under the 50k/3k/no statement credit. Will they match 10k miles *and* the statement credit? Have you ever seen DP's on that?

One off question - "word on the street" (office chatter really) is that if you carry both the corporate AMEX and a personal AMEX that you can pay a one time payment to AMEX of $100 (or around that price) to transfer your corporate points to your personal card. I figured that if anyone in this world knew that this was true, it'd be you guys on the i love credit cards so much V2 board!! Thanks for any info that you have!

So I have not done it myself but I am aware of a couple programs you can do with your corporate AmEx. The first is that some companies give you the option to pay for the MR program and you can then earn MR points just as you would with the personal version. It's a $90 AF to join the MR program on any of the corporate cards. As we had the Corporate Green version, I declined since I hardly ever used it so I'd never make enough MRs to cover the fee at that earning rate, let alone be useful.

There's another program on top of that where you can link your corporate card to your personal card and then you're supposed to get the earning rate of your personal card when you use your corporate card for expenses. You have to be able to opt into that corporate MR points program in order to try to link it. I thought DoC had done a post about it but I'm having trouble finding the right key words to bring it up. But there's a couple anecdotes on r/churning -

https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/akmfps/discussion_thread_january_28_2019/ef6veax/

And the last one I've heard about is the Corporate Advantage program where AmEx has a pilot program that offers special sign up offers for employees to open personal cards. (https://www.doctorofcredit.com/amer...tage-program-no-lifetime-rule-personal-cards/)

But I think it's probably one or both of the other programs you were discussing. Either way there's no "transferring" of points as all MR points are pooled into your MR account that all your cards are linked to, including the corporate one if you can enroll. The advantage would be to earn at the better rates through the linking.

I don’t recall any DPs of them matching a statement credit. Can always try I guess :)

I need to wait to meet the spend on the card first before I request the match though right?? I've requested a match through Chase before but Citi is new territory for me.
