I did!

If you select the eGC by email, the charge and statement credit/MR posts very quickly.

Note that Raise only accepts Wayfair GCs from select sellers, so reselling can be a little difficult. I believe Cardpool and Cardcash will take them if you’re thinking about resell.
I might get a desk chair that's around $160. My fancy new desk DH built is too tall for my old chair and I've been slacking on getting a new one...

It sounds like you are set on the Freedom but I would also just point out that the Freedom Unlimited is also a no annual fee and a 0% extended APR. The nice thing with buying direct (I just did 100 points direct at OKW this summer) is that you can split it and put the balance on multiple cards. So in theory if you time it right you could do 0% on those 75 direct points on the Freedom, the Freedom Unlimited, and the Disney and have 0% on all 3. The FU would be nice since it would net you more points with the Disney purchase. We are a family of 5 so I understand the value of getting the direct benefit of the gold AP’s (that was the primary reason I wanted a direct contract).

Thanks for the tip!!
My husband applied and got approved for the Disney Visa Yesterday. I got the SW rewards card a couple months ago and have the CP and 40,000 bonus pts coming the end of this billing cycle.
The Disney Premier Visa is unlimited 2% on Groceries, gas and Disney- and hubby did not want to have to think about which was 5% for which quarter and whether he is up to $1500.
I may apply for the Chase Freedom in a month or two.

I just want to be careful not to put more on a credit card than I can pay back during the interest free period.

I finally get a Sam's Club offer on my Amex... and the darn offers won't load to my card! Been getting an error all day. Same with DH's account. :badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:

Also, can I just say all the grammar talk makes me smile? I have a master's degree in rhetoric. You are my people! :grouphug:
This one is not grammar (I am also a grammar nazi) but dinning! No it’s dining!

Can you use AA points to buy WDW tickets?
Well - let me consult the handy WDW tips thread on DISchurners for you ;)

CAN I ADD DINING AND TICKETS?
If others want to do more research on this...have at it. It appears to me that you CAN add tickets and dining but you have to be booking an AA package. That means you need to be booking one of the following combos:
  • Flight + Hotel
  • Hotel + Car
  • Flight + Car (this one makes no sense...for this whole discussion though)
If you were not planning to book a flight or car then this probably is a dud. If anybody can figure out if I'm missing something here, please let me know though!! If you were booking a flight or car to begin with, it's worth noting that the park tickets were the flexible tickets meaning you're paying the highest price. This may work for folks booking during an expensive price season but be a bad deal for those going during lower priced time periods. Both dining and ticket pricing seemed to be slightly less than 1cpp so this may not be a great deal for anybody. It looks like you could add either/or without doing the other so there is flexibility.

Ok quoting myself because now that I read what I wrote...I started thinking :scratchin:scratchin:scratchin

I wonder if you could book a "Hotel + Car" and book the cheapest 1 day car rental you could find (and just never pickup the car). You basically just throwaway the AA Miles but if you could find a $50 rental or something, that's only $50? I wonder if the dates of the car have to match the dates of the hotel...

I'll have to do some research here!

Basically you each get an account... He links his credit card and sends you money. You link your bank account and transfer the money into there. Then you'd write him a check back for that amount. Money moves in a circle, he pays 3% to send it to you, but the spend posts.

A few thoughts:
1) Don't do this until near the end of the MSR period if you think he can meet a portion of this organically (unless you're in a rush for the CP in which case you could do it immediately)
2) Make sure he factors in the fee. If he needs to spend $2,000 more he should only send you $1,942 because then the fee of $58.26 will also post as a purchase. No reason to spend more than necessary!
3) DO NOT Venmo him back the money. Put it in your account and write the check so that it doesn't look suspicious.
Thank you! We have a joint bank account, can I deposit into my account with DH then transfer it into DS account? They can’t see that in our US bank account right? That would be creepy. I can write a check too.

DoC has a list of best bank bonuses. You can scroll through and see if there's a regional one that work for you.

I haven’t been able to find any valid in our area with a credit card fund.

What about Plastiq for his rent? 2.5% < 3% Venmo

Nope he has a mortgage. So no Visa for that.

Great minds think alike. Already in the process of checking into this.
