Stopped to buy some girl scout cookies after my run since a friend's granddaughter is a brownie. Why have I never bought tagalongs before? OMG it's like a peanut butter twix but better because it's fresher. So good. At least it's the start of our cookie season and not the end so I can get more later.

My dh told me that he read that much of the US, including us in CO, are supposed to have a much colder March than normal :(

Our weather people said last week that our outlook is warmer than normal for the next 3 months after having the 3rd coldest Feb on record with only 1 day above normal. This was supposed to be an el nino year without any snow and warmer than normal for us. Apparently he decided to leave the building at the beginning of Feb. The ski resorts are at least looking at good springs. After this morning I'm ready for a warm up though, it took me almost half an hour of almost blasting the heat to warm up after I was done.

And while I know it's been cold and gross for everyone, let's all remember that it snowed in Vegas this year so clearly the weather went nuts.

Tagalongs are so good. Dd asked for them this year and I ate most of them. Apparently aldi has a decent dupe.

We were in Vegas Dec 1998 when it was so cold they had emptied all of the fountains except the Bellagio and there were flurries on the Strip. We kept wondering why we had left the warmth of Phoenix. Just crazy!

If I can make it through tomorrow the weather is supposed to be much better. 5 degrees currently with a low tonight of -10, high of 7 tomorrow then it starts an upward trend with above freezing temps for the forecasted future. My kindergartener has had more days off school for snow and cold this year than I did my entire 12 years in Minneapolis. Focusing on our WDW trip in Nov. and planning a PHX trip for the wife and I next march, I need a break from this.

Interesting. The store manager at our favorite Starbucks store, who doesn’t usually work Sunday, was in the store this morning. When we asked him why he was working, he said he came to do employee training. It was his third round of training so far and he needed to get everyone trained by Tuesday. Didn’t think twice about it at the time, but now I’m wondering if it was about the program changes.

Just clicked the link to check my application status and saw that I am approved for the AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite Mastercard! I'm actually kind of surprised, and very surprised to have the status change this quickly. $40k credit limit (what are they thinking!). Now I'm off to cancel my Citi AA card...

We don't have Aldi :sad1: Back to Nature's chocolate mint cookies are almost exactly like thin mints and they have fiber in them so health food? My Target stopped carrying them, but we don't have a super so that could be why, but Fred Meyer has them in their "health food/oraganic" section so Kroger's may have them.

OT but I hate "Bonvoy." Every time I see it, it sets off my personal Cringe-O-Meter. I can't even read it normally. I always have to read it sarcastically as BOOOOONVOY. It's almost as embarrassing to me as "Globalist" & the like, and those are pretty bad!

I have to do more than like this so :love: and you aren't the only one cringing at it.

Probably or new drinks for St. Patty's? Not sure what kind of training they get with special or seasonal drinks though. If I remember I'll ask the SB ladies at my Fred Meyer, though they are actually Fred's employees so they may not know anything.

And @Judique is probably just getting rain. We’re watching the MD Terps b-ball game and it was only raining at a College Park. Our weather varies so much for such a small state.

Yes, a misty, cool and gloomy 36 degree evening. I'll take it anytime over snow and ice.

That’s a possibility too. They likely do a lot of training that I’m unaware of.

Just cancelled the Citi AA card and will get a full refund of my $99 AF. So I'll come out $4 ahead on the AFs between the two cards and should have 60k more AA miles once I get my new Aviator card and make my first purchase. I'll take that as a churning win for the day.

huh... this is new.

W Hotel, Maldives.

Finally was charged the new AF after taking the Marriott personal upgrade on 3/1.

I took the upgrade in Dec 2018 and I got a $95 credit in February. Based on your time frame I should expect it in April. It's $95, correct? It was originally $85 and they gave a $95 credit two months later, then they will come back and charge the same amount.

They could have just done some waive the fee thing.

CONGRATS!!! Make sure to follow @Lain's advice of putting continued spend on this Hilton card (beyond the MSR - Minimum Spend Requirement). I would commit to keeping that card for a couple years with some sort of regular spend on it if you are hoping to continue to get AMEX card bonuses in the future :) Here's an excerpt of that comment for convenience:

What do you consider "regular spend". Around how much per month?

Yup, $95. I only got a $85 credit for the AF originally
