Most of us here that are focused on Chase URs for Disney have accepted the fact that we have to cash them out at 1cpp. Unfortunately, there's no other way to use those points for Disney hotels.

Also, Swan & Dolphin are not on the UR portal either. Your 2 ways to use points for that are (1) to cash out again as mentioned above or (2) transfer to Marriott which is a pretty bad proposition.

The big buzz on the thread right now is using AA Miles for Disney hotels. Many of us are embracing that plan but there is always a risk that they could go away there too.

You might have interest in joining our Reddit group DISchurners which has a whole thread of Disney trip tips and how to use points. I'll drop you a PM about it once you have 10 messages. (Until then you can't actually send PMs haha)

Thanks so much! I think this is my 10th post so I would love to get in that group!

That is so frustrating about the 1 cpp redemption! What about the Disney Springs hotels? I know those are part of loyalty programs and get access to some of the Disney perks, but are those a good value?

One more travel insurance question... I have to assign beneficiaries. Looking through the documents the order it would be paid if you don't assign one (but of course it's a webpage and won't let you leave it blank) is spouse, children, parents, siblings, the estate. So I feel like the most sense is ILs have each other listed, because then if something would happen to both it would follow that chain and go to their children jointly... Those who use travel insurance, how do you handle this?

Sorry to drag the weather up again but this is just stupid! We started March with over 6 more inches on Friday (47 inches in 29 days) and now it’s -16. Enough Mother Nature, we give!
I'm so sorry. That is not a nice temp. We just got home from playing softball in 39 degree, but with wind it felt like 30. That was miserable. It was one of those tournament games where you want to win, but you kind of hope to lose so you can go home and warm up. I've never been so happy to get up at 5am and drive an hour for one game lol

Question for my sister who is just starting to show some interest since I started talking about this a year or so ago.

Let me preface by saying we are so opposite when it comes to paying bills. I pay in full by due date she is just learning the importance of doing this. She also is recovering from bankruptcy. And I think that's why she got excited in opening her first few cc's:

Bank of America, TJX, ULTA and Boscov's. She says all in 2017. Then just last week at my trying to help her again, a CFU. Because she is finally at a point where she wants to travel . Though she doesn't like AF's now but hoping she will see some are worth it.

Her plans are to go to Myrtle Beach and rent a house on the beach if they even have that. And this leads to why she wants an easy peasy Cap1 card next.

I mean what is good for her next? I'm trying to get her to wait on the Cap1 because of 5/24. But I guess on the other hand if she opened all those other store cards in 2017 at least they'll soon be falling off her record. Any advice I can give her from you guys would be awesome!

Invite sent :)

Regarding the hotels, Which UR cards do you have between CIP, CSP and CSR?

And the weather guy just posted on Facebook that the models are now trending toward another big winter storm next weekend! No no no. My dd has 3 days off in a row, which has never happened so she is driving 3 hours each way to stay with her college roomies. A damn storm would ruin that.
I am such a dork I keep looking at my SWA account to see my CP :-)

What link have you guys used for the 50k in-flight SW offer? I'm thinking Doctor of Credit's is probably trustworthy, right?
The links on DoC are the same as the ones shared on our thread and in the news thread on DISchurners. And all of these links are coming from r/churning (DoC and me share them when we see them on reddit). Basically they’re all the same links LOL (so there is no more or less trustworthy ;))

Ah, I should have looked on the news thread! I didn't know where to find them in this thread. But people aren't having any problems with them, right? Thanks!

And I got instant approval for the Priority card!!!:dogdance: Hawaii, here we come!:beach:

Just wanted to mention, because it's often discussed here, that I always reduce Chase credit limits before I apply. I generally keep each card at 5 to 10k (I have the csr at 15k) and I always get instant approval (except for when I was denied for 5/24). I now have 6 Chase cards!

None for me. Met spending immediately with bank funding and had the 50k at statement close.

Next Saturday is showing 80% chance of freezing rain and snow for us. We still have ice on our roads.....we don’t need anymore

After I got approved for the SW card, I just tried for the Arrival+ card and was DENIED AGAIN! Last time (in Dec), they said it was because I had the maximum number of the card that was allowed, and I figured it was because I had had the Arrival+ within the last 24 months and not downgraded before closing. But now, it's been 24 months (in Feb), so I don't know what the heck is up with that. I don't want to call recon, though, so I guess I'll wait and see what the letter says.

From r/churning someone noticed a Marriott award booking for 2020 showing 100% penalty if cancelled after Mar 4. If you’re grabbing stuff before category changes BE CAREFUL!

one of my other groups think this is temporary. stops ppl from booking all the awards now since category 8 is about to be introduced... it makes sense in a way but it def very bad publicity.
