Just some thoughts.
With the Brilliant, you'd be getting 100k Marriott points. The Plat, 75k to 90k MR, which are transferrable to other partners than just Marriott. Do you need those Marriott points for something, and would you transfer the Plat MRs to Marriott? Or are you just looking for opportunistic bonuses?
The Plat's 75k MR offer via incognito referral is YMMV. You might not be able to pull it up and may only get the regular 60k MR offer. In which case, it's better to just try to pull the 75k incognito offer without trying for a referral because you may have to pay taxes on the referral bonus. (Unless, you really want those 15k MR in your account since Amex makes it hard to combine stashes.) I'd like to say the Plat offer(s) will be around while the enhanced Bonvoy bonuses will end 4/24, but who knows if or when Amex will kill self-referral/universal referrals?
If getting the personal Plat for DH, would that be too duplicative of your Plat benefits to justify another $550 AF?
If another Plat would be duplicative, have DH go for the Bonvoy Brilliant -- however, Marriott/SPG offers seem to go up and down, and I don't doubt the Brilliant will go back up to 100k Marriott points eventually.
What about Amex biz cards to build MR?
But, the one I had the worst time with was The Grapes of Wrath. I ended up sobbing in the counselor's office after class because I wanted to hug my grandma, and I was 15 years old. You never know what's going to get to you, at any age.
So Dh and I are watching frozen while we eat dinner. I told him I don’t want to go to Norway because it’s too cold like here and this was his response: “there’s nor-way I’m going there”. What a loser lol
It’s that time! The Masked Singer finale! DS and I think Monster is going to win.
I am watching too. I can't remember the last time I actually watched a tv show as it aired. I started watching after reading a thread on the community board here last week. So I streamed all the others. Helps that DH is not home so I have no one taking over the TV.
DS is enthralled by it. He and a friend have been trying to guess who is behind the masks and texting the songs to each other. We have it on DVR to rewatch and he was watching in it on YouTube before we got DVR.I am watching too. I can't remember the last time I actually watched a tv show as it aired. Think I should just book two round trip flights with the miles and pay for 2.I value your opinion. Can you guys give me feedback on what you would do?
I need to get 4 of us to Italy next April.. I have 120,000 AA miles which would get us to Rome from PHl(most convenient) one way.. the one way fares to Europe are insane..
Coming back I’m looking at $2k pp to fly Rome to Phl..scary..
Or we could fly out of jfk to Milan on Emirates for $2,000 total.. jfk is two hours away from home and Milan is a 3 hour train ride from Rome.
What would you do? Burn the miles and pay the one way fee or do the round trip to/from airports that aren’t convenient paying the same for one way with cash?
The other option is to fly into Rome using miles and fly back using cash from Milan. That wouldn’t be that bad since our final leg is Venice. That would be 2k total for all 4 one way on emirates into jfk.
All flights quoted are direct because of my nervous flyer DH.
Advice?
Who do you think the Bee is? Gladys Knight? DS keeps saying Bo Jackson for the Monster. i was thinking Kevin Hart. Online thinks it’s T Pain also.I'm watching too. That Monster is T Pain. And I'm certain that Peacock is Donny Osmond!

Make sure you book in pairs that can travel with just the 2 in case one group gets bumped. $2kpp for a one way return from Italy is insane! I can see why you have a dilemma! If you can drop that price by making them round trip while still “saving” money on two of the tickets by using miles it sounds like a good compromise.Think I should just book two round trip flights with the miles and pay for 2.
Norway is quite nice in the summer months. It's on my list of places to go so I can see where my great grandparents came from. And Frozen isn't really a very good depiction of the country.
I know what this show is but I’ve never seen it. We don’t have tvYep, I do think it is Gladys Knight, Donny Osmond and TPain. Have to admit, I had no idea who TPain is, but after everyone guessed that on the other thread it I had to google and it seems to fit. It also makes sense that he wins because I read the judges were surprised by the winner and they pretty much have guessed the other 2.

March madness is the only reason I would have tv lol.We turn our Direct TV streaming on and off. Just happens to still be on from Football season. I figure at this point, might as well leave it on through March Madness. Then it will get turned back off probably until football starts again. We rarely watch it. I do need to catch up on This Is Us before I turn it back off.
DH's family is from there, too! It's always been a place he has wanted to visit, but I wasn't sure how I'd get us there until I saw the DCL trip. His father, on the other hand, did a longer land trip there (including meeting relatives I guess) and then a smaller cruise. It wasn't warm, but it was amazing. I love Hawaii & the beach and the sunshine, but I'd go back to Norway again in a heartbeat. I think it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.![]()
Yeah, it's the smaller denomination gcs that kind of drive me nuts, so that's why I got a Serve card. But @MrPTato 's experience so far does not portend well.
I am not sure now. Robin Thicke said I got it right.Yep, I do think it is Gladys Knight, Donny Osmond and TPain. Wow someone missed customer service training! I can't believe they had the nerve to say that. I got lucky on my Delta AMEX. Before I even knew if I was approved, the CSR asked if I wanted the card expedited at no cost - Well yes I do! Then she proceeded to check the approval status. It did seem weird. What if I hadn't been approved. Would the conversation been "sorry I asked if you wanted a expedited card but you aren't approved."Amex has gotten feisty with me before on expedite requests. I called after getting approved for the Hilton Biz a couple months ago, and the rep said if I had a big purchase coming up so soon, maybe I should have applied for the card sooner.
