I just booked a tour Sunday and it is coded as room only too. Still pending so could change. I think this is a recent change.

Which tour? I just signed up for the undiscovered Epcot on our April trip without the girls. I’d never heard of it really and saw the recent review. It sounds awesome and now I am super excited. Plus AP discount so score!
I booked Caring for Giants! I had wanted to experience it for awhile and saw a detailed report and figured it was time to finally do it. The AP discount was 15% which was nice and it only required me to move 1 FP+ around. The last tour I did was the Yuletide Fantasy tour and I do not believe it coded as a resort room reservation. Maybe it will be different once it posts like you suggested. I dropped over $200 tonight at the grocery store on my CIP so that makes me feel a little bit better.

I've read about that tour and its on my list! I think it sounds very interesting. I love learning about WDW's history and going into the backstage areas. You're not allowed to take pictures, but on my last tour the guides took photos of us in specific locations and they sent them to use so that was a nice touch. I think your tour even comes with a commemorative pin which is always fun!

I have Up Close with Rhinos, Marceline to Magic Kingdom, Keys to the Kingdom, and Behind the Seeds in addition to Undiscovered Future World on my list for future trips. Its nice to visit multiple times and add these special experiences. I love going to the parks, but it really keeps the trips fresh and unique.

I did a VIP tour guide once a few years back and it was AMAZING! I wonder if that should be a future churning goal? :scratchin A VIP tour guide for the minimum time would be like 600,000 URs lol

I've only done Behind the Seeds, which I do recommend. I'd love to do some of these others! I love learning about the history as well. I hadn't heard of Caring for Giants but just looked it up and I so want to do that one!

@PolyRob we did Keys to the Kingdom (years ago before kids) and then just did Caring for Giants on our trip last May. @vanjust14 our girls really liked it...I also got the cutest picture of all three of them with an elephant harness around them.

Glad to hear you liked it! I think I need to commit to at least one tour per trip now! :rotfl:
Caring for Giants was only $25 per person after the AP discount AND a portion goes directly to conservation efforts for the elephants :cloud9: Win win!

I've always wanted to try the Behind the Seeds tour, just never found the time. And I agree the elephant one looks really cool!

Keys to the Kingdom definitely sounds like its for a more mature audience. I need to see those utilidors! Love that you got such a memorable photo. It really makes these add-ons special :)

I think tours need to be something Dh and I start trying.
Yes! There are so many different options out there. Something truly for everyone. I never looked at them all until I called and heard all the different categories when booking a Sleigh Ride a few years back. (I also highly recommend this!)

Great response @calypso726 ! I love how they said You're Right!

You're right on how the points work for the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card. The Ultimate Rewards site inventory is updated frequently and without notice. We cannot say for sure if or when Disney properties might become available again. ^AA

This is just complete BS. Chase Support admitted in another tweet that Disney is not available on the UR portal because they made a business decision to remove redemption for Disney properties from the program.

As long as that decision stands, Chase can absolutely say for sure that Disney properties will not be available on their portal, and Chase can’t say they have no notice or control whether that inventory ever becomes available again because it’s their decision to include Disney or not.

Wow, that's an amazing price! Love how a portion goes to the elephants. The review I read was really positive.

Awww, my DD would love that, I'm going to take her next trip. Thanks for sharing!

If my first Chase card (Hyatt) is showing a date of 12/31/18, exactly how long should I wait before trying for a CIP? We want to get a new MSR to use for our property tax bill that's coming up in March.

DH and I checked CreditKarma tonight and he has a yellow mark (and slightly lower credit score) because he has more new cards than I do (avg. age is now 6). Is this something we should be concerned about? His score is still pretty high.

You really should do some of them now before kids. Especially ones like Keys to the Kingdom and Epcot Undiscovered have an age limit. That’s why I decided to do the Epcot one...you have to be 16 or above to do the tour. We have to do everything we can without the kids this trip! @speedyfishy you should try to do one next trip.

I didn’t get an AP discount when I did Caring for Elephants. The CM wasn’t sure if it was offered and since they were saying the money went to the elephants I felt a little bad pushing the issue. As much as I dearly enjoy discounts. :)

I’m not sure when we’ll be back to wdw but it’s added on my list of things to do along with surfing and the water parks.

Don’t they have daycares at Disney? lol

Has anyone rented a car using AA Miles? Just wondering if it went smoothly. Honestly, flying AA from MSP is just a pain, and I think I may find other ways to use these up and be done with it.

I have been meaning to post about this very subject. Car rentals are the only way I use AA points. I have found it to be an excellent use. Just booked a mid size SUV through AA with Alamo for a week in San Franciso in June for only 19,100 points. Price through Alamo was going to be 830 dollars! You are responsible for taxes and fees, but I use my Arrival and wipe those out too. Just make sure you are logged in to the AA account to get the best deal.

I will be happy to help you further if you have any questions. Basically I have found 50,000 AA points to be worth thousands of dollars in car rentals. I can not come close to that with flights out of ATL-if I can find any!
