NM, just see that Lain just posted about mmmears not getting credit for the ATT home account.

This does make sense. I won't do business cards or high AFs. Right now the only AF card I have and plan to keep is the CSP. I do not plan to add many cards to my small stash of cards, simply because I don't want to have to manage it all. Yes, I know I can earn more with SUBs and more cards. And I realize that I can cancel and move on. But right now, I am earning more than enough for my travel needs. I am in awe of those of you that go after these big offers, it's just not for me, at least for now. I have compared travel churning before to "keeping up with the Jonses." Right now I don't feel the need to go after these big rewards, even though I can see how easily attainable it can be. I am happy with my smaller rewards that get me and my family where I want to go.
(If this sounds like I am arguing, I am not. :) )
Sounds like you do you! And that is perfect.

I love URs so I am building those. I am not planning Disney for anytime in the near future so the loss of that didn't hurt me. I have found good redemptions on the Chase portal that fit where I want to travel. In addition, I love co-branded cards that give benefits like free nights or free checked bags or more award space. Due to that, I don't have any MR cards yet and really don't have a strong desire other than FOMO to get a true AMEX card. I love hearing what others do and picking and choosing what works for me.

I only have the Amex Everyday card. It was my first card. I am slowly building MRs that I occassionally use for travel partners. At this point other MR earning cards are not on my radar. I have many more URs than MRs.

@mmmears tried the $100/10k MR off $175 AT&T for Wireless Business Amex Offer on her home account and it did not credit.

All DPs of prepayments towards personal (doesn’t have to be business) wireless lines triggered the Amex Offer.

Relatedly, DoC is reporting a new Amex Offer out today for 10% back on cell phone bill payments, which should stack with the AT&T offer if you have them on the same card and haven’t already used the AT&T offer.
Is there a specific way to do a 'prepayment' or is it as simple as it sounds? No balance on account and just pay $175? I don't have AT&T but I'm letting a good friend use my offers so just want to make sure I tell him correctly what to do.

Just went for the upgrade to the Bonvoy Brilliant, no pop up, yay! Now to see what free cert I get, 35k or 50k.

Also just went for the $400 Wells Fargo Bank Bonus, funded with my Citi AA Biz just fine. Only $50 allowed but at least it worked. Would have been nice if it worked on TD Bank for $1000 though!

Now that means I have $5950 MSR to meet!

Oh, and my 10,000 MRs posted from my one purchase on my Biz Green, thanks @Lain and @kmc8826 for the heads up!

Got approved for my last Chase Business card today! The Ink Cash! Woohoo! I was kinda worried because I haven’t lowered any of our credit limits so I was a little worried about actually getting approved.

Next card is the Marriott BonVoy Biz. Is there any time I need to wait? I obviously want to get in whilenthe first year fee is still waived.

Have you found that using a cc to fund a new bank account charges a fee? I planned to do it for PNC but it said it would charge a fee. I got worried and just took cash to a branch.

I could use some advise.

My wife and I will be spending the next 4 years saving up for a Mediterranean cruise for our 35th wedding anniversary. My plan is to buy a Disney gift card every month, which will come pretty close to paying for the cruise.

I'm thinking that it would be wise to use a new, dedicated credit card to buy these Disney gift cards each month. What I'd like to do is get a credit card that would accumulate miles with an airline, such as United (for international travel). The credit card would be used ONLY to buy a Disney gift card each month. When the credit card bill arrives, it would be paid off each month.

I'll confess that I've never participated in a program where air miles are accumulated, so I know absolutely nothing about it. But if I can use a credit card that would help offset the air fare to and from Europe, I would be foolish not to try.

So, credit card gurus, which credit cards do you recommend we investigate to accumulate as many air miles as possible over the next, four years?

I truly appreciate the experience and advice of all those willing to proverbally hold my hand through this.

Only fee I know about is a cash advance fee, so I lower my cash advance amounts to zero before funding. That way, it will go through as a purchase instead of a cash advance and won't incur the fee.

(I do skim some things that don't apply to me).

LOL! I've been on this thread for a while and have no idea about SW, Disney resorts or tickets, or bank bonuses. Take what you can, leave the rest. I think probably only King Spreadsheet @Lain reads everything!

Yep=-where your $0.00 balance is, manually type $175. Pay with Amex card that has the offer. Wait 2 business days for posting. Do a little happy dance:) Repeat for the second one. Dance some more:banana:

When’s your AF due? I upgraded in the summer my AF is due this month so I’m expecting the 50k free night. Also don’t forget you have the $300 credit now and it will reset when your AF is due

Thank you! Our friends in Temple can use this :)

My AF hit Jan 18th, and I haven't gotten my free night yet. I'm thinking it is going to be the 35K.

Yes, cash advance fee was what it was called! Never would have thought lowering that to zero! Genius! Now I’ll have to talk hubby into doing a PNC bank bonus when we get back from vacation. He’ll be thrilled with me lol!

Oh yeah then probably. Weird the AF hasn’t even hit yet.... mine is due 3/31 so I’ll keep u posted
Just checked my account and go figure the 35k free night posted two days ago. I wonder what would have happened if I upgraded before it hit. Oh well, too late now. I didn't even get an email about it, weird.

Hahaha, yes learned that trick here or Dischurners! I like your plan to get DH in on it!

Excellent! I think you and I might be the only people who know where Temple is! It should be getting close to bluebonnet time, right?
Yep, if they aren't blooming yet, they will be soon! And it's still crazy to me to think you and this friend were just a couple years apart at Scott & White. Of course, I don't know how big the medical campus is so y'all would probably have never known each other anyways. The hospital and medical clinics are just ginormous now!
