No, you just haven't had your rebirth yet, where age doesn't matter to you and it's only other people who think you are old or young or young looking or whatever. Look at your family and you will see that you will basically be young even when you are a grandma, like me. I had my last baby in 1992, but there's a lot more than 7 years that separate that dynamic, until I look at your youngest and then I can identify, because my oldest was born in 1978 and my youngest in 1992, with one also in the middle. Kids somehow keep you young and transitional. Embrace your beauty and power!

Almost the same years for me. 1978 and 1993 with one in the middle, 1983. It was hysterical when people would think my older daughter was the mother of my younger daughter, and she’d have to explain, “no, really, I’m her sister.”

Dh got an interview in Orlando!!! He just got the email today asking him for more info before they do a security clearance on him. He's been researching more about the company tonight and seems really excited. I wouldn't want to move until after summer because we have a lot of band gigs set up and I'm supposed to nanny all summer, but I'm so happy that he might have a job that he would love. He said it's programming for missiles which sounds way cooler than what he does now.

Hey, I was there late Dec. through Jan 1st, 1995! We were almost there at the same time. First trip for DH and me, crazy crowded, but we were young and didn't have much vacation and we both had the week off. We were practically newlyweds, too, but had already gone on our honeymoon at that point. Yeah, almost no internet, but I used the Unofficial Guide a ton planning that trip. Still I couldn't do anything about the crowds, even though I knew it would be packed.

You probably had much better weather. I remember we got there probably around 4ish on the 1st. It was nice and warm and sunny. Then we wake up the next morning and it was cold and rainy the whole rest of time we were there. Before internet weather forecasts too! lol We had to buy raincoats and sweatshirts. I do still have that Mickey sweatshirt. Probably one of the oldest clothes I own.

That's so funny that your years are almost identical! My middle one was in 1984.

We never had anyone actually 'say' it to us, but there may have been a few that thought it. My older daughter had a certain 'mature' look that may have contributed to the idea. If she had caught on to someone thinking she was a teenage mother she would probably have been traumatized, lol. As it was, she didn't have her own children until she was 37, due to medical issues.

You can. Just call and ask to speak to the general manager. I met with this one in person as I felt it easier to “sell” that way. They don’t all do it, but if you can find one that will, that’d be great.

Stays over 30 days have no tax either. Hyatt and Hilton still give pts and credit for 30+ day stays. So see which one has the better points promo or which status you’d rather have.

Thank you!

@gottalovepluto I am pretty excited that Star Wars is opening so early! Of course it has made my plans more complicated. We have AP’s and now DVC and my hope is that we can do an AP/DVC previews. But then the big question is when will they be?!? By pure luck we ended up in WDW with a planned trip when Pandora opened. I didn’t even care about Pandora but was able to sign up for the preview and it was awesome. Like drop everything and if you are thinking of getting an AP and hear of previews get one then so you can sign up. When TSL opened I planned a trip last May hoping to get the preview. That did not work out. So now I am facing that I already have a tentative plan for middle of August before school starts. If they did previews then all of us would go (or at least the girls leaving DH home). We were all going to go in October...but if I could do the previews we would do August instead. So excited but also a little frustrated! :)

@tink1970 so sorry. Our extremely smart German Shepherd died a couple years ago. We have the cats now as our pets despite the girls now wanting a dog too. It hit me so hard when our dog passed that I haven’t been able to deal with another one. And then of course work and not home all the time is an easy excuse.

For those that have got the Barclays Aviator Biz are you sure it won’t count on the card reports for Chase?!? Yes I am being anal and triple checking. Doctor of Credit says it is “uncertain” if they show up. I would like to get one and jump on the train, but not at the expense of derailing my Chase biz card UR extravaganza plan. (I will be under 5/24 next month).

Update on DH's CIP:
He received his letter from Chase-apparently they want proof of address/name/SSN. I wonder if he put in something incorrectly. I hope he can satisfy them and we can receive the CIP in time for Cookie Dog's surgery (fingers crossed!).
I’d have him get on that ASAP. My dad has done it a couple times, faxed it in via branch both times. First time it took a few days, last time it took a week and a half, he kept calling but they just said it was processing this last time.

Hey all! Was it this thread that I was lurking on and read about people getting a great deal on an under the seat suitcase at Costco?
I know I saw it somewhere but can’t find it for the life of me.
I have a few frontier flights coming up so I’m looking for the best bag that will fit under the seat but maximize my packing ability.
Any recommendations?
Thank you!
I don’t remember it being mentioned here but I bought that bag I think.
This one

I haven’t used it yet but it seems good.

What’s the happy news in here?! Been in a sour mood all day after finding out our quiet Labor Day week trip with the kiddos will now be the busiest week in September in Disney history. I’m at about half my MSR on my CIP already sooo I guess that’s good :confused3
I'm sorry. I'd feel the same. That is our 'usual' week to go and our fav time but we cannot go that late this year. I've been pretty bummed about it. Until today :( Can you move your trip at all?

I remember pretty days and cold, chilly nights as we stood waiting to watch Illuminations. And a crazy mob of people packed into the MK for the NYE fireworks (that's a never again for me - it was scary). I'm sorry you got all the rain.

Yep, I think that's just old info. Got it in Oct and other than a HP I have nothing from Barclays on any report.

CSP to change to 60k + $95 AF according to DoC https://www.doctorofcredit.com/rumo...with-95-fee-instead-of-50000-with-fee-waiver/
Might be worth waiting if you’re after this card soon

In the same post, DoC is also reporting that the CFU will drop its $150 (15,000 UR) SUB and instead offer 3x UR everywhere during the first year capped at $20,000 in spend (effectively 60,000 UR for spending $20,000).

These changes are supposedly coming before the end of March.

That’s actually a REALLY BAD offer on CFU. If you compare it to the current 15k signup offer you have to spend $10,000 on the card just to break even vs the old offer.

On the old offer you could get 15,750 URs for spending $500 lol. With this offer, if you spend $500 you’d get 1,500 URs...yaaay! Doesn’t seem like a “churners” offer. Maybe good for a non-churner though.

So yesterday was not a great day...my dear dog1 (the bulldog who looks a lot like my avatar) has a torn ACL and her surgery (if she gets it--DH is being so weird:sad1:) will be about $4500 (est). Insult to injury-the vet specialist does not take Amex. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

So a 4 figure surgery (during which my beloved pet might die since she has a pretty significant cardiac condition) without making Amex happy? Lose/lose/lose. That's my reality right now. I'm so mad at Chase for not approving DH's CIP right now--and worried sick about my furry child.

 I’m sorry about your furbaby.

It fits with their tv commercials though - use it for your everyday spending. So they are looking for people that will put ALL their spend on it and be happy with the cash back. They need new sign ups with a lower bonus to pay for the celebs they've been using in the CFU commercials :)
