Yup!! Over the years, DIsney has been moving more towards taking the older applicants (they love seniors and those who've graduated) so I think they are just not wanting the liability that comes with the younger kids. It can be quite the party scene, as I'm sure you can imagine. I really am not sure why the change other than they wanted to wash their hands of it.

So, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't actually think he is terrible. I know Eisner did a ton for Disney (GF ), but he didn't do great with opening parks ("Euro"-DL and DCA) and he totally botched Figment! He also caused some serious tension with Pixar. Iger is basically "Mr. Acquisition" and we are finally getting a ton of new stuff. Even if it is catch-up, I am grateful.

I like all the new stuff that is coming. At the same time I am sad about many of the little things that are going. The cuts to smaller atmosphere entertainment and the clear managing of hours and ride capacity to cut expenses can be hard for me to swallow at times. I feel very torn when I think about the Disney parks I know and love right now.

This is all very fair. I hate the peeling back of hours and squeezing every penny out of guests to solve the decrease in attendance. Yet I am part of the problem because I pay for DAH. I also don't want Disney to lose that charm I know and love! Cuts to entertainment like the Burudika Band in AK and decrease in Citizens of Hollywood in DHS is very upsetting to me

I can see your point. I think you’re referring to the old BGR? I also chose gas for my 3x MR category. Most months I’ll have $100 or less in charges on this card, all gas. You’re right with the Freedom’s 5x UR categories overlapping so much with gas throughout the year, gas spend gets split or diverted. I have a 10% back at Exxon offer on my BGR, and that’s a pretty good deal so it’s seeing more use. I’m still splitting my gas spend with the Freedom for Chase Pay at Shell where Exxon isn’t nearby.

The refreshed Biz Gold earns 4x automatically on spend in whichever 2 included categories you spent the most on that month. I think that helps to make it more useful day-to-day. But I still think the value of this card is in its 20-25k MR supportals vs. 4x MR bonus spend.

It def sounds better refreshed. I had the old version and got caught up in self referrals. I just think the annual fee is still steep for what you get. If the referrals bonus stays high it’s def an argument for a good card and a good starter into the Amex business world

Didn’t you just say your looking at london at some point. We don’t have international travel on our radar but MRs can be of extreme value for that. I’d start hoarding now

How do we feel about an off topic discussion of Turkey Gravy?.... I’m kinda desperate. Costco got rid of my Fra’mani Turkey Gravy (just warm it up and boom! Awesomeness!) and I’m lost because I’m more of a warm it up type cook lol. Basically I want a decent Turkey Gravy that requires warming up or at most adding water or broth from a box- something easy! I’ve got cooked Turkey Breast, just no Gravy for it (this isn’t a Thanksgiving Feast or anything stressful, just average dinner type meal). Favorite easy to do Turkey Gravy anyone?...

This sounds terrible because I really like to cook but for gravy I use a can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup and add the turkey drippings until it's the consistency of gravy.

We were hoping to use URs for that. We have a lot saved up already and plan to have quite a bit by summer of next year. We only have 32k MRs and no plans for any more Amex cards

I agree too, last year when we went I didn’t see any citizens of Hollywood, but my trip last week we saw them multiple times and they were great! Maybe I just got lucky seeing them. I was hoping that their hours were increased again.
