They do have roommates, and I agree, that it would not be fun for a 20yo to get stuck rooming with a 40 or 50yo. I feel bad saying that but if these older people want to do the program and Disney allows it, fine, but they should not be in the CP housing. My dd said the lady is like trying to make everyone think she is so cool and fun on FB lol.

FYI @PolyRob - beat you to it 😛

I totally got emotional when they were talking about Roy passing away after opening MK for Walt.

I cried during the Keys to the Kingdom tour when they talked about this. I just couldn't help it. My dh was looking at me like, "Stop!" and I just kept being an embarrassment lol.

You wash that mouth out with soap young lady!! 🧼

That is the legacy, the history, the persistence of folks who have made our beloved parks what they are today!!! 😛
Does anybody else think that Bob Iger should be locked in a room and forced to watch the Imagineer Story on a loop 24/7 until he figures out how to stop ruining the little things that make the parks amazing!

You only have to be enrolled in one class when you app and as far as I know, nothing is ever verified...People go down with families even (they just don't live in the CP housing) and I think a lot more 'mature' people are deciding to do it. It's a dream for so many and Disney doesn't have age restrictions in place.
Maybe my employers tuition reimbursement can cover my one class and then I can take a 6 month sabbatical 🤣

Yes, after watching episode 3, I really just wanted to smack Iger even more than I normally do!
So, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't actually think he is terrible. I know Eisner did a ton for Disney (GF 😍 ), but he didn't do great with opening parks ("Euro"-DL and DCA) and he totally botched Figment! He also caused some serious tension with Pixar. Iger is basically "Mr. Acquisition" and we are finally getting a ton of new stuff. Even if it is catch-up, I am grateful. 🤗

LOL this really does pose an interesting situation 🍻
Disney used to have 'wellness' and 'non-wellness' housing. In the 'Wellness', there was no alcohol permitted. So, everyone was under 21 or did not drink alcohol. And alcohol found in a 'wellness' apt would get everyone 'termed'. They have now done away with that. I think this was a bad decision. They are now leaving it up to the kids to moderate the situation. This just changed in the last 6 mos or so, I believe.

I totally had college housing like that too! When it was mixed, they would say just label the alcohol in the fridge with your name so the RA's knew who it belonged to. Uhhh these people are in college, they're smart enough to put the 21+ person's name on the alcohol (well, some were smart enough). I wonder if it became too hard to police? Weird Disney would go back on that.

I think Disney definitely did not want to police it. They've made some pretty big changes to the housing situation just in the last 6 mos-1 yr. None are good changes, imo. The apartments are spot checked once a month. I think it is randomly done. So maybe there were just too many situations of alcohol being found in wellness apts.

How nice. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em mentality? 🤣
