I think the credit went up to $32pp but I could be wrong. It's been since last Nov we were able to use our PP at Timberline.

I'm so bummed at the loss of Amex plat PP at Timberline. We don't have a CSR anymore. My dh will be traveling some for his new job so I won't be surprised if he asks me to somehow get him another CSR lol!
It was still $28pp in April.

Speaking of Timberline, DH is being difficult. Were waiting for a table now and they are checking PP in at the host stand, we noticed. They forgot to ask us about it. But DH will not go up and get checked in now, he just wants to wait until we sit. Even when theres no line at check in. Hes the one stressing over time and he won't go do this thing that'll save time 😠

Now come on. Did you do that as a boy? No way my son would do that and he’d probably yell at any kid who did. FWIW in my family, we have 2 boys and 2 girls (cousins). The biggest bully is the now 13 yo girl (the 2 boys and other girl are all 10). She picks on her sibs mercilessly including hitting her brother, who does scream and cry. I’m not sure if she does it to other kids but I hope not.
I'm fairly certain that "me now" would describe "me then" as a little jerk (edit: at times). I definitely had an abundance of energy that I certainly let out in an annoying fashion. And there was a lot of property destruction due to dumb ideas (which I see a lot out of boys these days too).

These are just my general observations. Even this week, dropping my daughter off at golf camp. There were 4 girls trying to putt nicely on the green before camp started. Then there were packs of boys running around throwing golf balls at each other, damaging the practice holes and then they accidentally hit a girl with a golf ball before getting yelled at.

Another random observation - I have all these friends on facebook talking about their boys not wearing clothes and they post these pictures that are censored of them running around naked. Like what is that?? Tell them to put clothes on... My nephew does that too, and he's getting to be way too old to do it now.

My best guess is that given that parents are increasingly distracted by their cell phones (and I'm certainly guilty of this at times) kids more easily start to get a little out of control before parents realize what's going on. And it seems that the boys dream up more destructive ideas of fun than the girls often, haha!

Sorry, didn't mean to turn into an anti-boy rant, just a happy Girl Dad over here, lol. :cloud9: 😂 :littleangel: HAHA!

EDIT: And I don't actually think a lot of this is malicious, I think they just lack self-awareness. I can tell you that was my issue as a young kid (no thought of consequences or who I was affecting...just a general sense that whatever I was doing was fun at the moment).

Yeah, I like not having to fight for a parade spot. Did you get both fireworks and parade viewing? That's pretty great if you did! I've never done a dessert party.
We did get both. We were in the terrace viewing for fireworks which wasn’t the best. We got put under the overhang so that wasn’t great. We actually weren’t supposed to get parade viewing but they accidentally left it in the wording when they first put out the tickets and had to honor it for whoever booked it before they changed the wording.

Just keep in mind that you don't need a CSR to transfer to travel partners. United and SW are both 1:1 transfers from any of the premium cards.
Our lack of dining out was a huge deciding factor for me with not keeping the CSR. We just don't eat out enough (or pay for travel expenses) to make even the $150 (offset by travel credit AF) make sense.
It's a great card for the bonus but then you really need to crunch your numbers. Like I said earlier, we will get one again (I'll probably PC one of our cards back to it) when we need it for a 1.5x redemption, cause depending on the cost of your vacation, it really can make a huge difference. But we haven't done a redemption that pricey since WDW 2017. I got great value out of it then and planned to keep that going but Chase pulled all things Disney :(
We PCd DHs CSR to a CFU last year. This year we needed cruise excursions so I upgraded to CSR. Will double dip the travel credit then PC again unless we have some travel expense we need it for (not forseeing anything now.)

I want to do this but SO refuses to eat at places that have food out like buffets where people can just go up and take food. We have done cape May and chef mickeys but he doesn’t eat. (We only do this when we are on the dining plan so it doesn’t bother me as much lol) we are also doing 1900 park fare with his family in December and he won’t eat then either but it will be fun to be with the family.
Wow really? Does it just bother him that other people are touching the same food?

I was definitely that sneaky girl that got away with things and was naughty at times. I also ran around without a shirt until it wasn’t acceptable anymore lol. That’s probably TMI but eh I was a huge tomboy. There were definitely times I made my cousins cry because I was picking on them.

I really thought it had increased but maybe that is a different card I'm thinking of. Do we get more from Amex plat membership?? @Lain Do you know?

ETA: A quick google tells me the amount from the CSR is anywhere from $27-$32 lol. Chase's site says $27. I have no idea but it's a nice amount and covers a lot of food (at least at Timberline).

Pretty sure it's $28.

Lost the quote of @SouthFayetteFan

Ok, I’ll give you that boys can be rowdy, but IMO it’s on the parents when they are that way in public. My sister and I were pretty rowdy ourselves so I can’t say it’s a boy trait. My sister and I fought a lot as kids, to the point of injury (I have a scar from 75 stitches, she has a fingernail that grows abnormally from being slammed in a door). We did that at home, in public we argued, but no running around crazy or beating up other kids. I was picked on at school by both girls and boys for always being the smallest kid and being terrible at athletics. My son is a total rule follower and very compliant. My 2 nieces and nephew, the total opposite and they will argue about something until they drop. My son has been trying to get his cousins to follow the rules since they met.

I see your point about the crazy kids and distracted parents, I just don’t see the gender lines. As for the naked, my son (& DH ) would run around naked in the house all the time if I let him. I don’t. (But he would absolutely never go outside and he even looks to make sure the neighbors can’t see in)

Ok, I know I'm totally going to be in the minority here and may even get shunned, but I attended the Tony's party at MVMCP and enjoyed it! First, I didn't just have a better parade spot, I had THE BEST parade spot front and center- in front of the tree looking down Main Street with no one in front of me. I have amazing pictures. Second, they serve alcohol. Third, the food was not as bad as I thought it would be, and we were thankful to have a warm place to sit since it was FREEZING. We were also able to go back after the parade for more drinks. I was glad we did it.

Ok shun me for this: I don't care about the parades. I stop and watch for a minute and go on about my business. I get annoyed when the route blocks my path to the next ride on my list.

I will say I did enjoy the Christmas parade. I watched the Halloween parade during Not So Scary from the train platform.

I cannot imagine ever paying for an event inside an event. I'm getting crabby in my old age. Get off my lawn!:crazy2:

We also do not eat food from buffets.

I totally agree with @Albort that for us (DW and I), a second CSR became redundant, and it's a $450 (effective $150) AF that we didn't need to be paying.

We had DW keep her CSR because Chase likes her (and Amex didn't), but also because the CSR's 3x UR categories fit well with her two biggest areas of spend, dining and travel. We consolidate all our URs onto only one CSR (DW's) to have the ability to redeem at 1.5x on the Chase travel portal. We have DW's CSR linked to my CIP if we need to transfer URs to my CIP to transfer to my frequent flier or hotel loyalty programs. My CIP also gets me 3x UR on travel. We don't need 2 CSRs to accomplish the redemptions we do, and can save on the AF. I gave up 3x UR on dining with the CSR, but I have an Amex Gold card that earns me 4x MR on dining (and grocery). The Amex Gold matches better with my spend, since I tend to order out or take out (those Grubhub credits have been coming in handy), and I do most of my family's grocery shopping. For restaurants that don't take Amex (and won't earn me 4x MR on my Gold), I have my CIC for 2x UR dining, or VCG/MCGCs usually bought at 4x or 5x UR/MR on hand. (Of course, I'll focus on category bonuses only when I don't need that spend towards an MSR.) I also lost the CSR's Priority Pass, but had Priority Pass access through my Amex Platinum. (Many other cards offer Priority Pass access.) Although Amex is cutting off access to restaurants on their Priority Passes effective August, we rarely utilize the restaurant benefit on my Amex-issued Priority Pass anyway because we much prefer the Centurion Lounge that my Platinum gets me into.

Hope that sheds some light.

Like you and @Albort we've given up the CSR for dining. We use the Amex Rose Gold for 4x. The CSR is brought along as a back up in case we happen to visit a dining establishment that doesn't take Amex.

I’m beginning to think we might need to upgrade DHs CF back to a CSR before our HI trip in Dec. We have a stop in DEN on the way out and can maybe take advantage of HNL PP lounge on the way home

After looking now, I’m seeing the PP lounge is in terminal 1 and we fly in/out terminal 2. We might need to pass on the HI one.

Ok...I just had a super dumb moment...

I transferred 12k URs from my wife's account to mine. (I'm planning to use these for that Hyatt MCO).

I did a few other things, 10 minutes later I login to my account (mind you...I'm logging in to transfer those to Hyatt). I see that I have 12k points and got all excited that something must have posted like a support click or something. AND CUE FACEPALM!! Wow - that was pretty dense of me, hahaha!!! It took me about 5 seconds to remember that it was me who transferred those 12k points just a few minutes ago.

Wow really? Does it just bother him that other people are touching the same food?

Yeah he says people could actually touch it or sneeze in it. I hear a rant about how when he is in the bathroom so many men leave without washing their hands and it’s disgusting and those same people are eating at these buffets lol And then omg one time he saw the serving utensil that someone just put on the counter and not in the food or resting on the place that it was supposed to be and he freaked saying this is why he doesn’t eat from buffets lol.
