It is much easier to do solo or even with two of us and we're able to get the rides we want without waiting and still enjoy CoP and the tiki room.

And if WDW BTMR was as good as the one in Paris you'd want to ride it more than 3 times :)

Thank you!!
My wife really isn’t in to riding things multiple times. I was big time on it but then when I embraced her style a bit mixed with a “minimize walking” touring plan, It was then that I realized I had found my Disney nirvana. Haha!

Sent you a PM on reddit...

We do a little of both. There are times when we are all on board with hitting top rides over and over (FOP 4 times in a day for instance) and other times where we just grab FP's for whatever area we are touring at the time. On my daughter's birthday trip last year she specifically asked that we not just do the big rides over and over but instead do all the rides (except FOP, that we could do as many times as possible as it's her favourite lol). If all goes well we still hit the big rides multiple times but do so while still in that area of the park, and then still do everything else as well.

Question for those that upgraded the regular Disney cards to the premier, did they send out new cards? I don't think my design is there anymore and I don't want a new card LOL.

Sadly they do. We preferred the old ones. But nothing compares to a couple of years ago when they forced us to retire our Finding Nemo ones. :sad2:

We’re also looking at making a quick trip down to Disneyland to experience SWGE before my kiddo’s birthday trip that we’ve already got planned for August, and before no reservations are required after 7/23.

I think someone in the SWGE megathread over at the DLR forum put it best. All reports seem to say the numbers of people let into SWGE with reservations are quite reasonable, and the parks outside of SWGE are seeing very low crowds. The thinking is APs except for the most expensive Signature and Signature Plus APs are blocked out for most of this summer, and all of June is peak pricing for single day tickets. But probably more importantly, most people who are planning to go to Disneyland this summer probably won’t want to go unless they can also visit SWGE. But until 7/24, you need a reservation and all free reservations are long gone, or you can book a stay at a Disney hotel which is an expensive barrier for a lot of people. So those people will just wait a month. I’m thinking after 7/23, all bets are off. The parks will be flooded with people who have been dying to experience SWGE but weren’t able to get a reservation or willing to pay to stay at a Disney hotel for a reservation, and SWGE will be packed once Disney stops capacity controlling the new land with their reservation system.

I think I read on the Disneyland site that the Millennium Falcon attraction won’t be offered on FP or MaxPass initially. It’s going to be crazy.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think I can make it happen this summer - it's a short one for us and there is too much going on. I hope you can go before it opens up to everyone though - I agree that it's going to be crazy when that happens. :faint:

I just search for the 4 of us (and I will do “tap, grab, modify” although I CRINGE to type the phrase, LOL!). I’m probably a poor person to dish out advice on this though because our touring strategy doesn’t require a ton of FPs. I was actually starting to dislike the time I spent on my phone during our trips so I might pickup 1 or 2 add’l FP’s on some days but mostly we just enjoy anytime attractions in the afternoons. I might sound crazy, but I’d prefer to watch CoP or Tiki Room vs ride BTMRR a 3rd time... I just like to experience everything when we’re at Disney.

I totally get this. There are so many non-FP rides and attractions that I love, so I honestly would rather enjoy my day in the park and not be constantly refreshing my phone. DD would feel otherwise if I told her she could ride FoP all day though.

I totally agree with you on that! :thumbsup2 And we were able to get fp for all of the "big" rides at least once, so I'm not super worried about it.
You are my people!!! ❤️

Even shorter window to visit SWGE with reservations! I meant until 6/23, not 7/23.

It's nice to have a tribe. I don't want to miss CoP, the Peoplemover, the Tiki Room and so many other attractions. I just don't understand riding the same 2-3 rides all day.

Yikes! I really can't see that happening. June is already pretty busy. :(

Just to clarify... just in case... if I book a night at a Disney hotel are we guaranteed entrance? And if so, the day we check in or the day we check out? Or would I need to stay longer or get a package?

OMG, I’ll go crazy if we have to wait that long. I just did his Citi AA Biz and it went pending also. The wait is on....

Ah, I didn’t even think of that. Good idea! Maybe there will be another offer in Aug or for somewhere else. He just needs khakis but I like the ones from RL best. I thought I could just exchange them but it says you have to return them and repurchase. DS just needs to stop growing so fast!
The worst part of that six days...

This was my wife’s first Chase card after that 20+ month process to get under 5/24. Imagine helping dozens and dozens of people get CIPs of their own while sitting on the side lines for almost 2 full years ONLY to have your first Chase App in years go pending for 6 days. You begin to question your churning plan...nay your entire existence!! Luckily it worked out and my churning efforts are strong as ever now LOL!

Question. Do we think the ability to pull an increased Plat offer is based on computer? Or IP address or some fancy thing like that I dont understand? Obviously not a guarantee though, I understand that.

Wow, I can’t imagine that. You have been so helpful to me already.
And I agree about Tiki room and many other less popular attractions. I like the jungle cruise, people mover, and carousel of progress too!

You are guaranteed a 4-hour reservation slot for all registered guests if you book a stay at one of the 3 Disney hotels from now through 6/23. You can make a one night room-only reservation if you want; no package needed. That's probably the least expensive option. But then you'll need to have a ticket/AP for park admission. (I think it's cheaper to buy a 1-day/1-park ticket separately even during peak pricing than buying Disney's hotel and tickets package.) Some time after you make your room reservation, you'll receive a separate email with your assigned reservation time and credentials to visit SWGE for some time during your stay. I'm guessing if the time slot doesn't work with your plans, you can change it as long as there are time slots available. If you cancel your hotel room, your SWGE reservation is also canceled.

Here's a post that explains the process much better than I can:

The increased 100k offer or the incognito 75k offer? The 75k incognito is probably a factor of browsers and IP addresses. I've played around with different browsers and switched to different IPs using VPN, and was able to pull up the 75k offer in say Seattle, but not NYC. Pulled it up in Safari and Chrome, but not Opera. But it might all be different another day.

The 100k offer is pretty clearly targeted. I haven't been able to trigger it with any tricks of the VPN.

Wondering the same. I know I have read about name/address variations, but should I bother to do it in an incognito/private window? I am still sitting on this and wondering if I should go to cardmatch for the platinum right now...

Totally non churning, but we saw Rocketman today. We all LOVED it! I am dying to see it again (even dh said he would see again, he NEVER sees anything twice), bought the soundtrack on the way home (on iTunes LOL). Even with all of the bad times portrayed, my face hurt from smiling, because every time Taron Egerton sang, it was just amazing, and I couldn't help myself.
