Just fill in the blank if you'd like. This will be fun to see DISer perspectives at the ages they're at. Oh and don't give you're exact age if you don't want.........not trying to phish for info because if I get that info I won't know what the heck to do with it!! :rotfl:

Actually, I'm in the "I don't" camp.

I'm over 65 and arthritis has kicked in (seeing a hip replacement in my future). Also the whole "stay at home" thing is cutting into all the retirement travel plans we had. While I'm basically an introvert, sitting around the house gets old after a while.

My best age (up until now) was about 10 years ago.

Me too.....my hip is going and miss traveling. I am also an introvert, but I like staying home (other than the vacations).....if I can do the things I want to

I can totally understand this. The whole stay at home has cut into our travel plans too. We want to travel while we are young to, before health issues come into play, and while we have the money to do so easily. I am an introvert but working at home all day as well as just walking from my son's old bedroom ( my home office) to the living room to go home from work is getting really old.

Sorry to hear about your hip. I had my knees replaced almost 7 years ago and I haven't looked back. Best thing I ever did.

Good to know as my 55 yr old SIL just had one knee replaced just this last Tuesday. 👍

Getting old is not for sissies but I do like being at the point of having more time to doing the things I really enjoy and not having to deal with people I don’t have a desire to deal with.

The house is paid off we’re almost to retirement my husband has found a job he absolutely loves so retirement may be a couple years more than we thought. Somehow he feels fulfilled working at the food bank in Boston.
Our kids are all grown and gone but they’re happy good spouses decent kids home to their own and jobs they all love what more could you want.
Now vacations we wish we could we have the time between us we have 10 weeks vacation every year but where can we go it can’t get worse so I can only get better up from here.
We have a health both of us just during the 60s he still plays hockey three nights a week & and I am recovering nicely from the car accident I go back to work tomorrow what’s not to love
