I lost my engagement ring

sending :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: your way!
Do you know where/when you lost it? Do you think you will be able to find it?

I lost my Engagement ring down our kitchen sink drain once...but we got it out.
DH lost his wedding ring while rafting down the Delaware River...needless to say, we didn't get it back!

I hope you find it!!

I think that means you are free to fool around.:woohoo:

I hope you find it soon! Do you know if you lost it while you were at home? Keep looking--it could turn up somewhere.

I lost my engagement ring once - I looked everywhere - finally found it - on my right hand!!! :headache:

Hope yours is found soon!!

I lost my wedding and engagement ring and our Homeowners insurance paid us to replace it.

I'm sorry and hope it turns up soon. :grouphug:

Oh no. :( That is terrible.

I know its only a small consolation to losing something so precious, but do you have homeowners insurance? It will probably cover your lost ring.

I hope you find it soon. :grouphug:

OMG I would puke!!! I am so sad for you. I hope you find it soon.

I'm not entirely sure where I lost it. One evening after eating Chinese, my fingers swelled up really bad, so I took off my wedding ring and engagement ring and put them in a zippered compartment in my purse. At some point over the next day, either I opened the zipper or someone got into my purse (kids or DH) and left the zipper open. My wedding ring was still there, but the engagement ring was gone. So it could have been lost at home, in the car, or anywhere else I may have been that day. :sad2:

Would homeowners cover it in a case like that?

I lost a ring once while on vacation, and homeowner's insurance covered it. I'd give them a call, I think they will cover it.

I have a diamond Mickey Mouse ears pendant that was my original engagement ring so it was very important to me. I was at a baby shower and I noticed it was gone. The chain that it was on fell into my bra. We looked everywhere in the area but no luck. My friend told me to pray to St. Anthony. I prayed all of the way home, and I prayed to Jesus too but I didn't think I had a chance of finding it. I had mowed the lawn, cleaned the pool, vacuumed, cleaned my car and took a shower all before I went to the baby shower. Feeling absolutely sick over it, I walked into the house from the garage and as I was saying to the kids; "keep an eye out for my mickey ears", I saw it just two ft. inside the door on the green kitchen throw rug! Of all of the places that it could have been where it would have been lost forever, there it was! I am not Catholic but I would definately ask St. Anthony to help if I were you. Good luck. I know that sick feeling where you feel so bad you can't even cry.

I use to work with someone and anytime you lose something they said to turn a cup upside down (any cup). We all did this and I have to say it did work.

I lost my wedding band a couple of years ago. I was pregnant and so sick that I lost 20 pounds (I'm fluffy so it wasn't a big deal except that my rings became too loose). We were out and it slipped off my finger....Iheard it hit the ground and found it. Then I was afraid of losing it for real so I gave it to DH to put in his pocket....I wasn't carrying a purse or anything. Sooooo.....I guess technically he lost it.;) I was really sad for a long time after that. It wasn't an expensive ring but it had so much sentimental value. That has been more than 3 years ago and I still haven't replaced it. We have been married more than 12 years and I guess it just isn't as important as it used to be.
I hope you find your ring though...Iknow how it feels to lose something that means so much to you.

Sorry to hear you lost your engagement. That is an unpleasant feeling, especially when it has sentimental value. Hmmmmm, maybe you and your husband should renew your vows at Walt Disney World and he could give you a lovely ring to replace the one you lost. :thumbsup2

Years ago I lost my engagement ring. I looked everywhere - didn't tell my husband and then finally when I did have the nerve to tell him, he bought me a new bigger diamond ring. I still felt bad but that shiny new ring sure did feel great. - It was for our 30th wedding anniv. November of 2004.

May 2006 our cellar was flodded, not bad mind you but enough that we had to mop up every few hours to keep on top of it, he brought home the shop vac and sucked up a lot of the water. When we were done, he wanted to clean out the vac before he transported it to his shop. He was dumping stuff in the trash when he noticed something shiny on the top of the trash. He pushed aside the little bit of dust and there almost under a spotlight perched on the top was my original engagement ring. He said the only thing missing was the choir singing.

Now let me say that we live in my parents home - the home I grew up in. I purchased the house from my dad after my mother passed away. I know my mother is around all the time - she LOVED this house. He never believed me when I said she was around. Well he was so freaked out when he found my ring he said he felt that someone had pushed his arm slightly. Poor guy for days he was totally spooked. I laugh and even now a year later he still KNOWS it was my mother who made him find the ring.

Don't dispair, yours may take a while to find but if I found mine - I'll bet you find yours too.
