I lost another cat (4 in 8 months)

My Penny had to be put to sleep on Saturday. We tried to save her but she had much more than a thyroid problem. The vet thought that there was some major brain and some spinal things going on. She got to the point that she could only barely lift her head up and was peeing herself. I took her Saturday and I felt so awful. She was only 13. My others were 17, 16 and 16. I still have who is almost 18, one 17, 0ne 13 and one 11 so I know we have so more sad times in the not so distant future. It does not get easier. I feel so bad for my DS. These babies have been there his whole life. He also lost his grandmother less than 2 years ago and his great grandmother in April.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never
absent from your heart.<br>

Losing a pet is so hard. Our furbabies mean so much. I am a mom to three cats myself and know how they just work their way into your heart. You and your DS will be in thoughts and prayers. Wish I could say something that would make it not hurt so much. (((HUGS)))

I am so so sorry, having 8 babies myself I can relate. My oldest and favorite (ssshhh don't tell the others) is 8 and I dread the day she gets sick.

Oh, I am soooo sorry!!!

For those who have been around the DIS forever, some may recall I spent 5 days on the DIS just bawling like a baby when I lost my Lester-kitty. I got a lot of support here, but Dan's link for www.petloss.com really helped me to grieve properly.
