Just bought one of the newer washer and dryers. They hold so much more than our old 15 year old Speed Queens. I think I've cut down 2 loads a week since now I can combine the jeans with the towels.

The only bummer is you have to use the HE soap and I just purchased a big box of Tide @ Costco. I'll have to return it, but that's okay.

Any secrets to share from those who have the bigger washer and dryers?

I have had my front loaders for a year now. And yes, I now don't mind doing laundry. I don't use HE detergent. I use Tide Febreze with the purple cap. I am a sucker for good smelling laundry, and I have yet to find any HE that fits the bill. I use alot less soap than you would normally use and have had no problems. I also cut way back on the number of loads that I do each week. I do 1 dark, 1 light, and 1 towel load.
