I leave tomorrow for my first solo trip !

I have always wanted to do a solo trip and never got up the nerve to do it! I think it would be so relaxing and nice to be able to view the parks on my own terms. But - i dont know if DH would dig me going by myself....

Its the perfect solution to those of us who have spouses that aren't quite as Disneyfied as they should be.

Dh and I met at BTMRR 6 1/2 years ago (married 3 years ago). We had traveled solo for a long-long time. Of course we love being at WDW and DL together....but solo trips are fun too.

You want to ride Mission Space 10 times in a row........go have fun!

It will be a good trip. Have a great time.

Have a great trip!!! I leave in 9 days for my "almost" solo trip. DH had a work thing at the last minute that he really wanted to attend, so it will just be me & dd7 and ds4. I CANNOT WAIT!!!! DH is a little burned out on Disney, so I am thrilled to try it on my own this time. :cool1:

10 days... how cool!

I leave next Thursday on my first solo trip. DH was going to join me and we were leaving the kids behind, but he's come down with shingles and the 9hr drive down would be way too much for him, not to mention all the activity once we get there. I'm running the Mickey's Halloween 5K on 10/2 so I'm going to fly down. 5 days there by myself. This should be awesome!

I know what you mean Tink I have always wanted to go solo but Im a big chicken lol. I wonder if there is a solo club where people going solo could meet up if they get lonely:rotfl:

Have a great time. I'd love to do a solo trip, but every time I talk about taking one, my husband gets a puppy-dog look on his face and asks if he can come too. I'm not going to deny him a Disney trip! :goodvibes

Yea I love the idea of making my own decisions. Getting up and not having to wait for the wife to get showered and ready will save me an hour easily in the mornings.Oh believe me I will have to get her something good. Any ideas on a cute gift ?

Jewelry!!! World of Disney DTD has some beautiful jewelry. I love the earrings that have Mickey heads on them, but you don't notice them until you look closely. They also have beautiful necklaces.

Thanks for all of the great ideas. I am very much liking the idea of just walking around with no agenda. She wasn't too pleased of me not going without her at first, then she warmed to it. Maybe I should worry that she is happy to get rid of me for 10 days lol. I can't wait for the Halloween parties, I love me some Boo to you!

I'm going to move this to the happy dance board. Enjoy your trip.

Check out the Adults & Solo Travelers forum; people are always setting up meets! http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54

I was supposed to go solo (hence my ticker), but DH, who really doesn't like Disney that much :scared1:, decided that I shouldn't be alone on my birthday. So he's coming for 4 days and I'll be solo for 4 days (he decided well after I put in my ticker, so I didn't want to change it and start all over again :rotfl:). Looking forward to both parts of my trip!

Enjoy yours!
