His name is Figment and he's from WDW. :thumbsup2

Perhaps somebody who has been to WDW could elaborate on who, why and what.

Figment plays a major role in a ride at Epcot in WDW.
The ride is all based on Imagination (with a song to go with it called - Imagination) hence the name figment (of your imagination). I suppose it also fits in with the dream theme of the parade- using your imagination

:cheer2: :cheer2:

Reid I don't understand how you can class my post as "off topic" when the question "who is the dragon at the end of the Once Upon a Dream Parade ?" was asked in recent thread about the new parade.

I asked for elaboration (which A Small World has provided) merely because I'm interested to know why he should appear on the Prince/Princess float at DLRP. :)

I think you must be right Jill, though looking at the picture again, I'm not entirely convinced - sorry  To me, the dragon in the parade doesn't look nice enough to be Figment!! :confused3

Sorry Im not convinced either now I see that picture posted by Bexx.

Figment is a happy dragon whereas the one on the float looks rather angry.

DD has just suggested it's the dragon from Sleeping Beauty which would explain it being on the Princess float.

I think that Small World is correct - here is a photo from last year

Not that dragon - that's Maleficent's dragon.

I'm on a mission now to discover the truth. I came across Figment when I was looking for something else and thought that's him, that's the one, I thought perhaps it might be a little trick of the Imagineers, a hidden message or something, like all the other little secrets, hidden info around the park which is why I think "A Small World" is on the right track.:)

Sorry Jill but I don't think it's Figment either. He's too miserable looking plus I think Figment is exclusive to Epcot. I think it's just a coincidence that they're similar colours. I reckon he's the dragon from under the Castle just escaping for a few minutes each day!! :rotfl:

As Figment is such a popular figure in Epcot I think if it was him it would have been mentioned on all the blurb about the parade. None of the reports I have read explaining each float mention this being Figment which I think they would have done.

I agree though its the type of hidden message Disney would produce so maybe there is a bit of a hint there.

The parade starts with the float of Imagination so what better than to end with -the Imagination character- would have been very clever if thats what they had done.:flower3:

It is in fact just a random dragon, though imagineers of the new parade did decide to give a small wink towards Figment in the colour scheme, but it is not supposed to be him.

Thanks (once again!) for your help!! It was starting to worry me - I felt I should know!! :teeth:

Oh no, I'm going to have nightmares now, if the dragon is able to escape then how can I be sure he didn't sneak home in my suitcase? :scared1:
